The University of Rochester Medical Center (URMC), now known as UR Medicine, is located in Rochester, New York, is one of the main campuses of the University of Rochester and comprises the university's primary medical education, research and patient care facilities.

Strong Memorial Hospital (SMH) is an 886-bed medical facility, part of the University of Rochester Medical Center complex (abbreviated URMC), in Rochester, New York, United States. Opened in 1926, it is a major provider of both in-patient and out-patient medical services. Attached to Strong is the 190-bed Golisano Children's Hospital, which serves infants, children, teens, and young adults aged 0–21. SMH is owned and operated by the University of Rochester and serves as its primary teaching hospital. It offers programs toward medical, dental, or graduate degrees through the School of Medicine and Dentistry. The hospital anchors the University's health care delivery network in the Rochester area. It serves as a primary community hospital and a regional trauma center for the Rochester area. Also part of the network are Golisano Children's Hospital, and URMC affiliate Highland Hospital.SMH offers care in 40 different specialties and is ranked as one of "America's Best Hospitals" by U.S. News & World Report, and has won the Consumer Choice Award for the best hospital in the area for 12 consecutive years. Strong has signature programs in cardiac care, cancer care, neurology, orthopedics and pediatrics. As an affiliated academic research hospital, patients have access to the latest treatments. Strong also provides emergency medical services. SMH is a teaching hospital and patients may interact with faculty, residents, fellows, interns and/or medical students.

University of Rochester-Golisano Children's Hospital (GCH) formerly Children's Hospital at Strong, is a nationally ranked, freestanding acute care children's hospital in Rochester, New York. It is affiliated with the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. The hospital features all private rooms that consist of 168 pediatric beds. The hospital provides comprehensive pediatric specialties and subspecialties to infants, children, teens, and young adults aged 0–21 throughout the region. The hospital also sometimes treats adults that require pediatric care. The hospital shares the rooftop helipad for the attached Strong Memorial Hospital and is an ACS verified level I pediatric trauma center, one of the only ones in the region. The hospital features a regional pediatric intensive-care unit and an American Academy of Pediatrics verified level IV neonatal intensive care unit. GCH also offers one of the country's few Ronald McDonald Houses that is located within a hospital.

Eastman Institute for Oral Health of University of Rochester is a school of dentistry located at the University of Rochester Medical Center in Rochester, New York, United States. Unlike other dental schools in the United States, it does not have an undergraduate dental program. It is affiliated with Strong Memorial Hospital.The institution records over 180,000 patient visits a year and receives over $9 million in research funding as a location for oral health research in North America. Its programs receive over 1,200 applications every year for 40 positions, resulting in an acceptance rate of 3.3%. In 2011, it underwent a $5.9 million renovation. The school has ranked within the top 10 of National Institutes of Health (NIH)/National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research (NIDCR) research funding to dental institutions several times, including ranking seventh in 2020. In the year 2020, the Eastman Institute for Oral Health published over 150 peer-reviewed research publications.

The University of Rochester Arboretum is an arboretum located across the River Campus of the University of Rochester, 612 Wilson Boulevard, Rochester, New York. The River Campus is located beside the Genesee River on a site previously owned by the Oak Hill Country Club. Famed landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted, Sr. had designed a "River Walk" of oak trees along the river; and after the university purchased the site in 1923, his son Frederick Law Olmsted Jr. served as landscape designer and consultant to the campus architects. In 1999 certain areas of the campus were designated as the arboretum. The River Walk was recently sold to the City of Rochester as public parkland along the river corridor. In a 1 km (¾ mile) area between Elmwood Avenue and Intercampus Drive are 197 oak trees representing 15 species. Trees in the arboretum proper currently include: American Beech (Fagus grandifolia), Amur corktree (Phellodendron amurense), Baldcypress (Taxodium distichum), Black Gum (Nyssa sylvatica), Dawn Redwood (Metasequoia glyptostroboides), Goldenraintree (Koelreuteria paniculata), Hally Jolivette cherry (Prunus 'Hally Jolivette'), Japanese Pagoda Tree (Styphnolobium japonicum), Japanese Zelkova (Zelkova serrata), Katsura Tree (Cercidiphyllum japonicum), Kentucky Coffeetree (Gymnocladus dioicus), Kanzan cherry (Prunus serrulata 'Kanzan'), Late Lilac (Syringa villosa), Miyabe's Maple (Acer miyabei), Osage-orange (Maclura pomifera), Paperbark Maple (Acer griseum), Northern Red Oak (Quercus rubra), Scarlet Oak (Quercus coccinea), Wych Elm (Ulmus glabra), Shadblow serviceberry (Amelanchier canadensis), Sweetgum (Liquidambar styraciflua) and Tulip-tree (Liriodendron tulipifera). Although not located on the River Campus, the university grounds also contain two state champion trees, a weeping willow and a Ponderosa Pine. They are the largest known examples in the New York state.

Rush Rhees Library is the main academic library of the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York. It is one of the most visible and recognizable landmarks on the university's River Campus. Construction began in 1927 with the other original River Campus buildings and the library was dedicated in 1930. It is named after Benjamin Rush Rhees, the university's third president. A major addition was added in 1970, which now houses the main computer lab, additional stacks and office space. Rush Rhees is the flagship of the River Campus Libraries System, which holds about 3 million volumes. The library featured an elevator completely original from 1930 until 2021 when it received a full modernization.

Simon Business School (formerly known as the William E. Simon Graduate School of Business Administration) is the business school of the University of Rochester. It is located on the university's River Campus in Rochester, New York. It was renamed after William E. Simon (1927–2000), the 63rd United States Secretary of the Treasury, in 1986. The school's present dean is Sevin Yeltekin. Simon Business School offers full-time, part-time, and executive (based in either Rochester or Switzerland) Master of Business Administration (MBA) programs, as well as Master of Science (MS) programs. The school is home to substantial academic research enterprises and a PhD program in several business disciplines.

The Warner School of Education and Human Development is a graduate school of education that prepares practitioners and scholars in the areas of teacher education, counselling, K-12 school leadership, higher education, human development, and educational policy. The school is part of the University of Rochester and located in Rochester, New York.

The Laboratory for Laser Energetics (LLE) is a scientific research facility which is part of the University of Rochester's south campus, located in Brighton, New York. The lab was established in 1970 with operations jointly funded by the United States Department of Energy, the University of Rochester and the New York State government. The Laser Lab was commissioned to investigate high-energy physics involving the interaction of extremely intense laser radiation with matter. Scientific experiments at the facility emphasize inertial confinement, direct drive, laser-induced fusion, fundamental plasma physics and astrophysics using the Omega Laser Facility. In June 1995, OMEGA became the world's highest-energy ultraviolet laser. The lab shares its building with the Center for Optoelectronics and Imaging and the Center for Optics Manufacturing. The Robert L. Sproull Center for Ultra High Intensity Laser Research was opened in 2005 and houses the OMEGA EP laser, which was completed in May 2008. More than 270 Ph.D.s have been awarded as of 2022 for research conducted at the LLE. During summer months the lab sponsors local-area high school juniors in research at the laboratory, with most of their projects led by senior scientists at the lab.

Mount Hope Cemetery is a municipal cemetery in Rochester, New York, founded in 1838. It is the burial site of Susan B. Anthony and Frederick Douglass. Situated on 196 acres (79 ha) of land adjacent to the University of Rochester on Mount Hope Avenue, the cemetery is the permanent resting place of over 350,000 people. The annual growth rate of this cemetery is 500-600 burials per year. The cemetery hosts the sculpture Defenders of the Flag, a Civil War monument made in 1908 by the American sculptor Sally James Farnham. In 2018 it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Arvine Heights Historic District is a national historic district located at Rochester, Monroe County, New York. The district encompasses 61 contributing buildings (37 residences) in an exclusively residential section of Rochester. The district developed between about 1920 and 1942, and includes residential buildings in a variety of architectural styles including Colonial Revival, Tudor Revival, and Bungalow / American Craftsman. The dwellings reflect modest designs directed toward a middle-class clientele in a newly developing area of Rochester's Nineteenth Ward.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2015.
