Hotel de Wereld (meaning Hotel The World) in Wageningen was the site of the capitulation of the German troops in the Netherlands on 5 May 1945, and the end of German occupation during World War II.Oberbefehlshaber Niederlande supreme commander Generaloberst Johannes Blaskowitz surrendered to I Canadian Corps commander Lieutenant-General Charles Foulkes at the hotel. The capitulation document was signed the next day (no typewriter had been available the prior day) in the auditorium of Rijks Landbouw Hoogeschool, located next door. This historic event is celebrated every May 5 as Netherlands' Liberation Day national holiday.

Baltasar Tieskens, who joined in 2008 from Cordial, was the first chef to earn a star. In September 2013, Jaap Venendaal took over the hotel.O Mundo means "The World" in Portuguese - the same as the hotel's name in Dutch.

Wageningse Berg (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈʋaːɣənɪŋsə ˈbɛr(ə)x]) is a defunct football stadium in Wageningen, Netherlands. It was the home of the disestablished football club FC Wageningen.

The World Soil Museum (WSM) displays physical examples of soil profiles (monoliths) representing major soil types of the world, from the volcanic ash soils from Indonesia to the red, strongly weathered soils from the Amazon region. The museum is managed by ISRIC - World Soil Information, legally registered as the International Soil Reference and Information Centre (ISRIC), an independent, science-based foundation. Physically, the museum is located on the campus of Wageningen University and Research Centre in Wageningen, The Netherlands. The WSM (originally known as International Soil Museum) was created in 1996 at the request of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and the International Society of Soil Science (ISSS) (now IUSS). with a view to underpin the development of the FAO-UNESCO 'Soil Map of the World' FAO soil classification. The initial ISM building was located at the University of Utrecht. Some 80 soil monoliths are on display in the WSM, with a much larger collection (some 1000 from over 70 countries) stored and maintained in the repository. For each soil monolith, there is supplemental information about the site of sampling (e.g. landscape, land use, parent material and climate), a detailed profile description for each soil horizon or layer, and data on chemical compositions and physical features. The museum displays examples of the main (32) WRB Soil Reference Groups of the World. A special section is devoted to the major soil types of Netherlands. Further, it showcases soils that have changed significantly under the influence of long-term human activity. Much of this information can also be viewed online [1]. The WSM plays an important role in ISRIC's educational and outreach programme, and is an important component of ISRIC's Annual Spring School on world soils and their assessment.[2]. Wageningen-Hoog is a township in the town of Wageningen in the central Netherlands, in the province of Gelderland. Wageningen-Hoog is located alongside the Village Bennekom in the town Ede. Wageningen-Hoog is spacious with villa's in a wooded area.

Bennekom is a village and parish in the Netherlands, which is part of the Municipality of Ede in the south-west of the Veluwe district of the Province of Gelderland. It adjoins the town of Wageningen on the Lower-Rhine to the south, and Ede to the north, Veenendaal to the west and Renkum to the east. The western boundary of the parish follows the canalized River Grift and is also the boundary with the Province of Utrecht. The earliest forms of the name are Beringhem (1288) and Berinchem (1296), meaning the settlement of the people of Bero, who probably lived around the 6th to 10th Century.

Hemmen-Dodewaard is a railway station in the municipality Neder-Betuwe, Netherlands, located between the villages Hemmen and Dodewaard. The station opened on 1 November 1882 and is on the Elst–Dordrecht railway. Train services are operated by Arriva.

The Christelijke Hogeschool Ede (in English Christian University of Applied Sciences is added to the Dutch name; abbreviation remains CHE) is a Dutch vocational university, based in Ede in the central Netherlands. The CHE has a clear Christian basis: the Bible as norm and source of inspiration. The mission of Christelijke Hogeschool Ede consists of two pillars: developing and providing high quality professional education, through which students are formed as Christians, equipped and trained to be (starting) professionals and developing, sharing and applying knowledge, which is made available (commercially or non-profit) to a society with multiform worldviews. From 2004-2011 and in 2015, 2016 and 2017, the CHE was appointed for the eleventh time as the best university of applied sciences in the Netherlands.
