The Ten Mile House is a historic house at 6915 Stagecoach Road in the Mabelvale neighborhood of Little Rock, Arkansas. It is a 1+1⁄2-story brick building, with a gabled roof and four end chimneys, each pair joined by a high wall extending above the gable ridge. It was built sometime between 1822 and 1835 along what was then known as the Old Southwest Trail, which extended from Ste. Genevieve, Missouri to Texas. Its design is credited to Gideon Shryock, who designed the state house of the Arkansas Territory.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1970.On the grounds stands the Confederate Last Stand Monument.

The Dr. Morgan Smith House is a historic house at 5110 Stagecoach Road in Little Rock, Arkansas. It is a two-story wood-frame structure, with a complex roof line and weatherboard siding. It is a sophisticated example of Craftsman styling, with a porch and porte-cochere supported by stone columns (supposedly built using cobblestones from central Little Rock), and extended eaves with exposed rafter tails. The house was built in 1918 for a prominent local doctor, housing both his home and office.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2009.

The Martin Cemetery is a historic cemetery on the northern frontage road of Interstate 30 in the Mabelvale section of southwestern Little Rock, Arkansas. The cemetery is 6.5 acres (2.6 ha) in size, and had more than 1300 burials as of 2017. The cemetery's oldest burials date to 1833, and consist of members of the Martin family, early settlers and surveyors of the area. The oldest portion of the cemetery, a 2-acre (0.81 ha) rectangular area located in its southeast, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2017, for its association with the region's early history.

Little Rock Southwest High School, also known as Little Rock Southwest Magnet High School, is a public high school in southwest Little Rock, Arkansas. Groundbreaking occurred in 2017. It replaced J. A. Fair Systems Magnet High School and McClellan Magnet High School. Additionally it took over the attendance area for Hall High School, which was converted into Hall STEAM Magnet High School, a magnet only school.It has 400,000 square feet (37,000 m2) of space. There are 65 classrooms, with each having 900 square feet (84 m2) of space. It opened as scheduled in 2020. It had 1,930 students in September 2020.

J. A. Fair High School (FHS) was a four-year public high school located in Little Rock, Arkansas, United States. J. A. Fair was one of four comprehensive high schools of the Little Rock School District. Beginning the 2014 school year, J. A. Fair was placed under academic distress, changing its name from J. A. Fair Systems Magnet High School to J. A. Fair High School of College and Career Academies. Fair was originally a part of the Pulaski County Special School District. It opened in August 1982 (with additions in 1983, 1984 and a classroom and cafeteria addition in 2004) and is named for James Augustus "Gus" Fair. The school operated as a junior/senior high school (grades 7-12) from 1982 to 1987. It was annexed by the Little Rock School District and converted to a senior high school in 1987. In 2000, J. A. Fair became a magnet school and offers magnet programs in environmental science, systems engineering/information sciences and medical studies. The school was divided into academies: The Academy of Environmental Science, Enterprise Mobile Network Management Academy, and The Academy of Sports Medicine, along with a Freshman Academy. It closed in 2020 with the opening of Little Rock Southwest High School.

Southwest Regional Medical Center was located at I-430 and I-30 in Little Rock, Arkansas, It closed on July 15, 2008.On August 27, 2008, Baptist Health- Arkansas announced that it had acquired the facility. Though financial details were not disclosed, Baptist announced that it planned to relocate support and patient-care services to the Southwest Little Rock facility to accommodate more patients at its main campus.

Brodie Creek is a traditional residential neighborhood in west Little Rock, Arkansas with close proximity to Interstate 430, Bowman Rd, Kanis Rd, Chenal Pkwy, and Col Glenn Rd. Brodie Creek has about 80 uniquely-designed homes along tree-lined streets, all radiating from a central, open green space and pavilion. Outlets of Little Rock is a 365,000-square-foot (33,900 m2) open-air shopping mall in Little Rock, Arkansas, at the intersection of Interstate 30 and Interstate 430. The shopping center opened in 2015 as the state's first outlet mall. Adjacent attractions include Dave & Buster's and Bass Pro Shops. Tenants include Banana Republic Factory Store, Cole Haan Outlet, Nike Factory Store, and Le Creuset Outlet Store.

Mabelvale was a small, unincorporated train station town in southwestern Pulaski County, Arkansas, until being annexed into Little Rock following a special election that was held on May 3, 1973. The area today is part of Little Rock's seventh ward, although it retains a separate postal designation and ZIP code [72103] from most of the rest of the city. The neighborhood is currently represented on Little Rock's City Board of Directors by Brenda "B.J." Wyrick.The neighborhood is generally defined as the homes and businesses in the immediate area surrounding the intersection of Mabelvale Main Street and the Union Pacific railroad line. However, its location on the southwestern fringe of Little Rock proper — as well as its proximity to unincorporated communities, to other neighborhoods in Southwest Little Rock, and to adjoining towns such as Shannon Hills which share the ZIP code — often leads to varying definitions of Mabelvale's boundaries. The Matthews-Storey House is a historic house at 8115 Ascension Road in southern Little Rock, Arkansas. It is a mostly single-story Craftsman Airplane-style structure, in which a small second story at the center makes the building resemble an early aircraft. The building features a carport to the right and a projecting porch to the front, each with supporting stone pillars and exposed rafters underneath. The house was built in 1925 by the Justin Matthews Company, a major developer in the city at that time.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2015.

The John Barrow Addition of Little Rock, Arkansas (often simply referred to as John Barrow) is a neighborhood in the western portion of the city. It is bordered on the north by Kanis Road, on the west by I-430, on the east by Boyle Park, and on the south by Asher Avenue. The area is named for its main thoroughfare, John Barrow Road. Lake Nixon is a private recreation area on Cooper Orbit Road on the southwestern outskirts of Little Rock, Arkansas. The lake is 34 acres (14 ha) in size, with a narrow shape oriented roughly northwest to southeast. The south side of the lake is in a natural state, while the central portion of the north shore has been developed as a summer day camp. The site of the camp was the subject of a ground-breaking civil rights case, Daniel v. Paul, decided by the United States Supreme Court in 1969. The camp was in 1966 a private enterprise offering membership for a low fee ($.25) to whites, but refused to grant memberships to African-Americans. Two African American girls sought admission to the grounds during a heat wave in 1966, and filed suit after they were refused. The Supreme Court ruled that the club constituted a public accommodation under civil rights legislation. This case was key in combatting the use of private clubs as a means for racial discrimination.The lake and surrounding amenities were listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2017.
