Yavne (Hebrew: יַבְנֶה) or Yavneh is a city in the Central District of Israel. In many English translations of the Bible, it is known as Jabneh . During Greco-Roman times, it was known as Jamnia (Ancient Greek: Ἰαμνία Iamníā; Latin: Iamnia); to the Crusaders as Ibelin; and before 1948, as Yibna (Arabic: يبنى).

Yavne West railway station is a passenger railway station in Yavne, Israel and is one of two railway stations in the city (the other being Yavne East). The station is located between the Rishon LeZion Moshe Dayan railway station to the north and the Ashdod railway station to the south. Yavne West is adjacent to Yavne's central bus station in the western part of the city and is located next to the Yavne Interchange on Highway 4.

Kfar HaNagid (Hebrew: כְּפַר הַנָּגִיד, lit. Village of the Prince), is a moshav in central Israel. Located in the coastal plain around 20 km south of Tel Aviv and north of Yavne, it falls under the jurisdiction of Gan Raveh Regional Council. In 2019 it had a population of 1,260.

Yibna (Arabic: يبنى; Jabneh or Jabneel in Biblical times; Jamnia in Roman times; Ibelin to the Crusaders), was a Palestinian village with a population of 5,420 in 1948, located 15 kilometers southwest of Ramla. Yibna was taken by Israeli forces on 4 June 1948, and was depopulated during the military assault and expulsion.

In the Battle of Yibneh (Yibna) in 1123, a Crusader force led by Eustace Grenier crushed a Fatimid army from Egypt sent by Vizier Al-Ma'mun between Ascalon and Jaffa.

Highway 42 is a north-south highway in central Israel. It leads from just south of Ashdod Interchange in the south to Gan Rave interchange in the north. The road is 19 km (12 mi) long.

The Yibna Bridge is a Mamluk arch bridge near Yibna, which crosses the river Nahal Sorek (formerly known as Nahr Rubin, or Wadi al-Tahuna). It was previously used by Route 410 to Rehovot, and was known as the Jumping Bridge due to a bump in the middle of the bridge which caused cars to jump if speeding. It is now a part of a recreation ground, next to a new bridge carrying the Route 410.

Yavne East railway station is one of two railway stations in Yavne, Israel. It is on the suburban line Binyamina/Netanya–Tel Aviv–Rehovot/Ashkelon. Yavne East was opened in 1992 and was fully rebuilt in 2009. Despite the name, the station is located south of the city of Yavne, near the entrance via Highway 42, and adjacent to an industrial area. Five local and intercity bus lines serve the station and the parking lot has 300 spaces. Yavne East station is located about 3 km south-west of the former Yibna railway station, which opened in 1920 as part of the Lod–Ashkelon railway, operated by Palestine Railways. The former station was located near the village of Al-Qubayba, presently within the moshav Ge'alya east of Yavne. The other railway station in Yavne, Yavne West, is located in the western part of the city and is situated on the new rail line from Tel Aviv to Ashdod via Rishon LeZion, adjacent to the Yavne Central Bus Station and was opened in 2012. Yavne East is one of only two train stations in Israel with only a single passenger platform (the other being the little-used Dimona railway station). As part of the double-tracking, upgrade and electrification works of the Rehovot–Pleshet section of the Lod–Ashkelon railway and a large housing and commercial development plan for the area, Yavne East station will be rebuilt in a different location on the railway sometime by the mid-2020s decade. The new station will have four passenger platforms located below ground level with the station building situated at ground level.

Ben Zakai (Hebrew: בֶּן זַכַּאי) is a religious moshav in central Israel. Located in the Shephelah, it falls under the jurisdiction of Hevel Yavne Regional Council. In 2019 it had a population of 1,132.

Ge'alya, sometimes written Galia (Hebrew: גְּאַלְיָה), is a moshav in central Israel. Located in the coastal plain and covering 2,000 dunams, it falls under the jurisdiction of Gan Raveh Regional Council. In 2019 it had a population of 973.

The Soreq Nuclear Research Center is a research and development institute situated near the localities of Palmachim and Yavne in Israel. It operates under the auspices of the Israel Atomic Energy Commission (IAEC). The center conducts research in various physical sciences, particularly the development of many kinds of sensors, lasers, atmospheric research, non-destructive testing techniques, space environment, nuclear safety, medical diagnostics and nuclear medicine. Soreq also produces various types of radiopharmaceuticals for use by health care organizations throughout the country. Some of the institute's research facilities include an AMF 5 MW pool-type light water nuclear reactor supplied in the late 1950s from the United States under the Atoms for Peace program and a 10 MeV proton cyclotron accelerator, as well as extensive laboratory and testing facilities. Currently under construction is a 5-40 MeV, 0.04-5 mA proton and deuteron superconducting linear accelerator scheduled for commissioning in 2013. The center is named after the nearby stream of Soreq. The center operates under the safeguards of the International Atomic Energy Agency.

Beit Gamliel (Hebrew: בֵּית גַּמְלִיאֵל, lit. House of Gamliel) is a religious moshav in central Israel. Located south-east of Yavne, it falls under the jurisdiction of Hevel Yavne Regional Council. In 2019, it had a population of 1,019.
