Felts Field is an historic active airfield in the northwest United States, located on the south bank of the Spokane River, just east of Spokane, Washington.Aviation activities began there 110 years ago in 1913. In 1920, then called the Parkwater airstrip, was designated a municipal flying field at the instigation of the Spokane Chamber of Commerce. In 1926, the U.S. Department of Commerce officially recognized Parkwater as an airport, one of the first in the West. Parkwater Aviation Field was the location for flight instruction, charter service, airplane repair, aerial photography, headquarters of the 116th Observation Squadron of the Washington Air National Guard, and eventually the first airmail and commercial flights in and out of Spokane. In September 1927, in conjunction with Spokane's National Air Derby and Air Races, the airport was renamed Felts Field for James Buell Felts (1898–1927) of Opportunity. A Washington Air National Guard aviator and publisher of the Spokane Valley Herald, Lieutenant Felts and his passenger were killed in a crash of a Curtiss Jenny near the field that May.After World War II, commercial air traffic moved to Geiger Field (later Spokane International Airport). Felts Field remains a busy regional hub for private and small-plane aviation and related businesses and services. In 1991 it was designated Felts Field Historic District on the National Register of Historic Places

Felts Field (IATA: SFF, ICAO: KSFF, FAA LID: SFF) is a public airport in the northwest United States, located five miles (8 km) northeast of downtown Spokane, in Spokane County, Washington. It is owned by Spokane City-County.The airport has two parallel runways. Now used for general aviation, Felts Field was Spokane's commercial airport before the opening of Spokane International Airport. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2017–2021 categorized it as a regional reliever facility.

KSPO (106.5 MHz) is an FM radio station licensed to Dishman, Washington, and serving the Spokane metropolitan area. It broadcasts a Christian talk and teaching radio format and serves as the flagship station for the American Christian Network. It is owned by Thomas W. Read/Classical Broadcasting, with Liberty Broadcasting System holding the license.

Avista Stadium is a baseball park in the northwest United States, located in Spokane Valley, Washington. It is the home ballpark of the Spokane Indians, a minor league baseball team in the High-A Northwest League.

West Valley High School is a public secondary school in Spokane Valley, Washington. It enrolls over 900 students in grades 9 through 12. The school colors are orange and black and the mascot is the eagles. As a Gates "Washington Achievers" grant high school, West Valley has started a mentor groups program. Staff members meet with small groups of students once a week to discuss issues in students' lives and connect with the students in the hopes that it will improve student experience and performance.

Minnehaha is a neighborhood in Spokane, Washington, located in the northeastern portion of the city. The Spokane River flows along the southern edge of the neighborhood, from which the terrain rises along the slopes of Beacon Hill to the northeast. It is a primarily residential neighborhood, with its main commercial district on Euclid Street shared with the adjacent neighborhoods of Bemiss and Hillyard. Minnehaha Park is located here, though the nearby Minnehaha Rocks are just beyond the neighborhood's bounds.

RiverCity Leadership Academy (also known as RLA) is a fully accredited high school in which students share common wilderness experiences, use applied technology, study under a group of teachers and create their own projects according to individual interests. RiverCity Leadership Academy is the first Project-based high school in Washington state to utilize this successful and revolutionary hands-on approach to learning developed by the EdVisions coop. The student projects will provide individualized HSPE preparation and T & I certifications. The school is a West Valley School District program serving Spokane youth, grades 9–12. Students attend school full-time in pursuit of an education that will leave them Citizenship, college, and Career ready.

Millwood is a city in Spokane County, Washington, United States. The population was 1,786 at the 2010 census. Millwood is a suburb of Spokane, and is surrounded on three sides by the city of Spokane Valley. The Spokane River flows along the northern edge of the city. The city is home to the National Register of Historic Places listed Millwood Historic District.

West Valley School District (WVSD) is located in the city of Spokane Valley, Washington. The District has five elementary schools, two middle schools, and Three high schools, which include two non-traditional high schools. The grade configurations are K-5 in the elementary, 6–8 in the middle schools, and 9–12 in the high schools.

The Rosebush House in Millwood, Washington was designed by architect Harold C. Whitehouse and was built in 1923. It was listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places in 2000. According to its NRHP nomination, "is a landmark example of the French Eclectic architectural style and is one of the most unique properties in the Spokane area."When the Millwood Historic District was added to the NRHP in 2001, the Rosebush House was listed as a contributing property to the district.
