Sharon Township, Medina County, Ohio

Sharon Center is an unincorporated community in Medina County, Ohio, United States. It is centered at the intersection of Ohio state routes 94 and 162 in Sharon Township (see map at right.) This intersection is actually a large traffic circle with a park in the center containing a gazebo and several memorials to veterans of various wars.

Paleo Crossing site, also known as the Old Dague Farm site, is an archaeological site near Sharon Center, Ohio in Medina County where Clovis artifacts dated to 13,000 years ago were found. The Cleveland Museum of Natural History conducted an excavation from 1990 to 1993. The site provides evidence of Paleo-Indians in northern Ohio and may be the area's oldest residents and archaeologist Dr. David Brose believes that they may be "some of the oldest certain examples of human activity in the New World." The site contains charcoal recovered from refuse pits. There were also two post holes and tools that were made from flint from the Ohio River Valley in Indiana, 500 miles from Paleo Crossing, which indicates that the hunter-gatherers had a widespread social network and traveled across distances relatively quickly. The post holes are evidence that there was a shelter built on the site. The site was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on July 30, 1992.

It is owned by the City of Medina and is located four nautical miles (7.41 km) east of the city's central business district. According to the FAA's National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2007-2011, it is categorized as a reliever airport. Although most U.S. airports use the same three-letter location identifier for the FAA and IATA, this airport is assigned 1G5 by the FAA but has no designation from the IATA. The airport houses a flying club sponsored by NASA.

Wadsworth is a rare HED meteorite that fell in Ohio in USA on 17 March 2026. A bright daytime bolide was seen streaking through the sky over Cleveland before fragmenting. With an estimated airburst energy equal to 250 tonnes of TNT (1.0×1012 J), it created a sonic boom heard dozens of miles from the event. The fireball was captured by the GLM instrument aboard geostationary satellite GOES-19.

Highland High School is a public high school in Granger Township, Ohio, United States, near Medina. The school serves students from Hinckley, Granger, Sharon, Montville, Copley, Medina, and Brunswick townships. In 2021, Highland High School was raked #881 nationally and #34 in Ohio by U.S News “Best Schools”.It is the only high school in the Highland Local School District. The school colors are kelly green and black, and athletic teams are known as the Hornets. The alma mater is to the tune of "Carmen Ohio" and the fight song is the "Notre Dame Victory March". Highland High School is a comprehensive high school with approximately 1,037 students in grades 9–12 as of the 2020-2021 school year.

Wadsworth is a city in Medina County, Ohio, United States. Founded on March 1, 1814, the city was named after General Elijah Wadsworth, a Revolutionary War hero and War of 1812 officer who owned the largest share of the lands that became Medina County. A suburb of Akron, the population was 24,007 at the 2020 census.

St. Mark's Episcopal Church (Wadsworth Congregational Church or Old Mennonite Church) is a historic church building at 146 College Street, Wadsworth, Ohio. Built in 1842, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1973. The Episcopal congregation held its final service on March 6, 2022, and was closed by the Diocese of Ohio. As of 2023, the building is occupied by LifeSong Fellowship, a congregation of the Anglican Diocese of the Great Lakes.
