Birmingham Women's Hospital is a women's hospital which is located directly opposite The Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, England. It is managed by Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Foundation Trust.

The Queen Elizabeth Hospital Charity exists to support medical and health research, and to encourage excellence in healthcare for patients and their care givers, wholly or mainly through the services provided by University Hospital Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust. It raises money for campaigns that are over and above what the NHS can provide. QEH Charity was formed in 2001, however, there has been an official charity associated with the Queen Elizabeth Hospital since the creation of the NHS in 1948. QEH became independent in April 2016.

The Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham is a major, 1,215 bed, tertiary NHS and military hospital in the Edgbaston area of Birmingham, situated very close to the University of Birmingham. The hospital, which cost £545 million to construct, opened on 16 June 2010, replacing the previous Queen Elizabeth Hospital and Selly Oak Hospital. It is one of the largest single-site hospitals in the United Kingdom and is part of one of the largest teaching trusts in England.It is named after Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother, who was queen consort and wife of King George VI from 1936 until his death in 1952. The hospital provides a whole range of services including secondary services for its local population and regional and national services for the people of the West Midlands and beyond. The hospital has the largest solid organ transplantation programme in Europe. It has the largest renal transplant programme in the United Kingdom and it is a national specialist centre for liver, heart and lung transplantation, as well as cancer studies. The hospital has the largest single-floor critical care unit in the world with 100 beds, and is the home of the Royal Centre for Defence Medicine for military personnel injured in conflict zones.

Selly Oak Park is a public park in Selly Oak, Birmingham, England. It is close to the University of Birmingham. The stump from the "Selly Oak", a large oak tree on Oak Tree Lane was situated in the park after it was felled in 1909.

Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Foundation Trust ran Birmingham Women's Hospital in the Edgbaston area of Birmingham, situated very close to the University of Birmingham. On 1 February 2008, it was granted NHS Foundation Trust Status. It merged into Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Foundation Trust in 2017

Saint Peter's is the ancient parish church of Harborne, Birmingham, England.

Harborne is an area of south-west Birmingham, England. It is one of the most affluent areas of the Midlands, three miles (five kilometres) southwest from Birmingham city centre. It is a Birmingham City Council ward in the formal district and in the parliamentary constituency of Birmingham Edgbaston.

Harborne railway station was a railway station in Birmingham, England, built by the Harborne Railway and operated by the London and North Western Railway in 1874. In addition to the passenger facilities, there was a goods shed and sidings. It was the terminus of the Harborne Railway, serving the Harborne area of Birmingham and was located just off Station Road. Although for twenty years the line was in the hands of the receiver, passenger traffic rose from six trains a day each way during the week, to twenty a day in 1897, and twenty-nine by 1910. Originally a single line, the station included a runaround loop, with a turntable (removed in 1942) at the head. It originally had only one platform. The platform was extended in 1897 to cope with the additional traffic. In 1897 an additional siding was also put in to meet the demands for local freight traffic. The cattle pens were demolished and the coal offices removed to another part of the wharf. A second platform was added next to the loop in 1901, however, with the introduction of the Birmingham Corporation Tramways it was rarely used and was removed in 1911, with carriage sidings in its place. There was a footbridge from the station, built in 1908 to the newly developed Harborne Estates.At the grouping in 1923 it became part of the London Midland and Scottish Railway. The station closed to passenger traffic in 1934, though it was open to goods traffic until 1963. The last train was operated by the Stephenson Locomotive Society to commemorate the closure of the station on 4 November 1963. There is no evidence of the station on the ground today, and the station site is in use by both industry and housing.

Harborne Carnival is a street party, held in the suburb Harborne of Birmingham, within England, UK. Tens of thousands of people attend Harborne carnival on an Annual Basis. Harborne Carnival has been reported as being "the biggest celebration of its type outside London", and as being "one of Britain’s biggest street carnivals – second only to London’s Notting Hill".

The Birmingham Women's Fertility Centre at Birmingham Women’s Hospital, Birmingham, England, formerly named the "Assisted Conception Unit", is one of the UK's leading medical centres for infertility treatment and care. It is the longest established fertility clinic in the Midlands, marking thirty years operations in the year 2010. The clinic is based in an NHS hospital and provides integrated care to both NHS and private patients; the staff is internationally recognised for their work in treating with infertility. The clinic runs active programmes of egg-sharing, sperm donation and egg-donation.

The Centre for Human Reproductive Science (ChRS) was established in December 2006 to further develop research and innovation in fertility diagnosis and treatment, working in partnership as the academic and research wing of the Birmingham Women's Fertility Centre at Birmingham Women’s Hospital and the University of Birmingham Medical School. A particular emphasis in the biomedical research strategy is placing research and discovery in the true physiological context.
