The School District of Haverford Township is a school district in Haverford Township, Delaware County, Pennsylvania, United States. It was created in 1944. The district serves all parts of the township, including Havertown. The current superintendent as of April, 2022 is Dr. Maureen Reusche.

Ardmore Junction station is a SEPTA transit station in Havertown, Pennsylvania. It serves the Norristown High Speed Line and SEPTA Route 103 bus. The trolley stop is elevated, with the bus stop below on the Ardmore Busway. The 103 bus right-of-way was once part of the Ardmore branch of the Red Arrow trolleys but it was paved to make way for buses when the trolley line was discontinued. Ardmore Junction is on Haverford Road.

Pont Reading is a historic home located in the Ardmore section of Haverford Township, Delaware County, Pennsylvania. It was the residence of shipbuilder and architect Joshua Humphreys, in which he lived his entire life. It was named after his family's homestead, Reading Pont in Wales. Humphreys is most notable for his design of the famous USS Constitution, or "Old Ironsides". The home was built of stone, now stuccoed, in 1730, around a log cabin dating to 1683. The rear kitchen wing was added in 1813. The building is an excellent example of upper-class colonial architecture.The house, which is a private residence, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.In March 2007, Cookie Magazine published an article titled "To the Manor Born" about the house and its owners. The article included internal photographs. The house's owners since 2003 (Chris DeWitt/Oscar Yague) oversaw major restoration to maintain the property.

The Oakmont neighborhood is generally bounded by Campbell Avenue, Winton Avenue, East Marthart Avenue and Darby Road. It borders the unincorporated communities of Merion Golf Manor, Merwood, Paddock Farms, Woodmere Park, Brookline, Lynnewood, and Manoa.

Haverford Senior High School is the public high school of Haverford Township, Pennsylvania, United States, operated by the School District of Haverford Township. It is at 200 Mill Road in Havertown. The school serves the entirety of Haverford Township, including all of the unincorporated community of "Havertown" (a place name created by the US Postal Service to designate ZIP Code 19083, which is wholly within Haverford Township), and the Haverford Township portions of the unincorporated communities of Haverford, Bryn Mawr, Ardmore, Drexel Hill, and Wynnewood. Approximately 90% of Haverford's graduates continue their formal education at colleges, universities and technical schools. Haverford students traditionally are well-placed in the National Merit Scholar Program and other academic award competitions in mathematics, science, foreign languages, writing, art and music. All five elementary schools in the School District of Haverford Township feed into the middle school, which then feeds into Haverford High School. Haverford High operates WHHS, the first FM broadcast high school radio station in the United States. The High School also has an award-winning newspaper that is almost over 80 years old The Fordian.

WHHS (99.9 FM) is a non-commercial educational FM radio station licensed to the School District of Haverford Township in Havertown, Pennsylvania (a suburb of Philadelphia), and run by the students of Haverford High School. Studios are located within the school, and the transmitter is located on top of the building. Typical show formats include rock, Top 40, classic rock, rap/hip-hop, sports talk, political talk, and sometimes more eclectic genres like classical or jazz. Occasionally, shows feature live performances from local or school-based bands. Students apply for a radio show (usually 90 minutes long), and a typical show has 2-4 hosts. On the basis of interviews and previous experience with the station, students are chosen to fill several positions, including general manager, technical director, programming director, promotions director, music director, and sports director. The radio station provides an introduction into the radio or communications industries for students interested in careers in these fields.

Haverford Township is a home rule municipality township in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, United States. Haverford is named after the town of Haverfordwest in Wales, United Kingdom. It is a commuting suburb located due west of Philadelphia and is officially known as the Township of Haverford. Despite being under a home rule charter since 1977, it continues to operate under a Board of Commissioners divided into wards, as do "First Class" townships that are still under the Pennsylvania Township Code. Haverford Township was founded in 1682 and incorporated in 1911. Haverford Township contains portions of the unincorporated communities of Haverford, Ardmore, and Wynnewood as well as the census designated places of Bryn Mawr and Drexel Hill. The unincorporated community of Havertown lies wholly within Haverford Township. The township population as of the 2020 census was 50,431, making it the 14th most populated municipality in the state. Haverford Township holds the distinction of having hosted two different men's major golf championships at two different golf clubs: Merion Golf Club hosted the 1934, 1950, 1971, 1981, and 2013 U.S. Open, and Llanerch Country Club hosted the 1958 PGA Championship. Haverford, along with Upper Darby, Cheltenham, Lower Merion together form as the major inner ring suburbs of Philadelphia.

The station has off-street parking available.

Havertown Superfund is a 13-acre polluted groundwater site in Havertown, Pennsylvania contaminated by the dumping of industrial waste by National Wood Preservers from 1947 to 1991. The state first became aware of the pollution in 1962 and initiated legal action against the owners in 1973 to force them to cleanup the site. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) ranked the site the eighth worst cleanup project in the United States. The site was added to the National Priorities List in 1983 and designated as a Superfund cleanup site in the early 1990s. Remediation and monitoring efforts are ongoing and the EPA transferred control of the site to the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection in 2013. The site was deemed to be "short-term protective of human health and the environment" in the sixth five-year report conducted by the EPA in 2020.
