St. Phillip's Anglican Church Kingswood is an Anglican church at the corner of Bringelly Road and Second Avenue in Kingswood, a western suburb of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. It was completed in 1896 and is a modest late-Victorian Gothic Revival building constructed in brick comprising a nave, chancel, and porch. The church was listed on the City of Penrith local government heritage register on 20 December 1991.

Werrington Lake in Werrington, New South Wales, Australia, is a man made lake, developed in the early 1980s as a solution to help relieve flooding of the Werrington Creek. It is located within Werrington Lake Reserve on the border between the suburbs of Werrington and Werrington County. Removal of earth began in 1981 and was used to create the overpass of the railway line to the east of Werrington railway station. Lakes construction began in 1982 with Stage One costing approximately $225,000. An additional three stages followed this, beginning in 1984. The cost of these stages exceeded $500,000. Penrith City Council constructed walkways, bridges, wharves, playgrounds and landscaping. Werrington Lakes are a haven for students undertaking wetland and water conservation studies. It has also become a recreational area for picnickers and sports enthusiasts. The area has naturally attracted a great variety of native birdlife.Used as a wetland to filter stormwater, before entering Werrington Creek, the lake is also used for irrigation for the cricket ground to the west and surrounding parklands. In 2001, Penrith City Council, Department of Land & Water Conservation and the Werrington Landcare group created a program to bring the area back to life and to remediate many of the problems that had occurred in the area. In 2005, 300 bass, carp, mullet and eels were found dead in the lake. It is believed Chlorpyrifos, a widely used insecticide, was a contributing factor.

Nepean Hospital is a 520-bed teaching hospital. providing tertiary referral services for the Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District. Nepean Hospital is located at the base of the Blue Mountains in Kingswood, New South Wales, Australia. The first Penrith hospital was opened in 1860, containing 6 beds and was located on the modern day Cox Street. Nepean Emergency Department treats over 62,000 admitted patients annually. Opened in Feb 2023 The new Emergency Department is a purpose built facility with an adjacent short stay unit, and provides emergency care for a diverse case mix including paediatric patients. It is supported by multi-speciality services including 24 beds in the Intensive Care Unit, 24-hour interventional cardiology, hematology, neurosurgery, thoracic surgery, urology, plastic surgery, paediatrics and obstetrics and gynaecology. Also on the Nepean Hospital campus are a Neonatal ICU, Tresillian Family Care Centre, Menopause Service, Nepean Cancer Care Centre, Diabetes Service, in-patient psychiatric unit, Rehabilitation medicine and the Wentworth Centre for Drug and Alcohol Medicine. Nepean hospital hosts 19 operating theatres, with 6 operating theatres which opened in March 2012 & 15 more which opened in 2022. The original operating theatres 1-8 are currently being demolished to build pharmacy services. Nepean Hospital's operating suite is a 24-hour service covering urology; gynaecology & obstetrics; colorectal; upper GIT; faciomax; plastics; thoracic; pain team; dental; orthopaedics; vascular; general, breast & endocrine, neurosurgery; ENT; general; some paediatric; some endoscopic and emergency surgical specialties. Nepean hospital has been on “Trauma bypass” status for several years & no longer accepts multi-trauma patients. (Meaning if you get hit by a truck in Kingswood, you will wake up in Westmead) Additionally, 24 hour access includes CT scanner and MRI services. The Nepean Hospital new surgical wards, named East Wing, were opened on 12 March 2012. The hospital hosts a clinical school of Sydney Medical School at the University of Sydney.

St Dominic's College is an independent Catholic secondary day school for boys, located in Penrith, a suburb in Western Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. St. Dominic's College was established in 1959 by the Congregation of Christian Brothers, who continue to run the school.
