St Mary and St Peter's Church is an active Anglican parish church in the village of Barham near Ipswich. It contains a Henry Moore statue of Madonna and the Child originally held at St Peter, Claydon. It is in the deanery of Bosmere, part of the archdeaconry of Ipswich, and the Diocese of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich.

Claydon is a village just north of Ipswich in Suffolk, England. The meaning of the name is "clay-on-the-hill". The village gives its name to the hundred of Bosmere-and-Claydon, one of the 21 districts into which Suffolk was divided for administrative purposes between Saxon and Victorian times.

Shrubland Hall, Coddenham, Suffolk, is a historic English country house with planned gardens in Suffolk, England, built in the 1770s. The Hall was used as a health clinic in the second half of the 20th century and briefly reopened as a hotel, restaurant and spa in 2015 but shut in early 2017. The parkland and formal gardens of the hall are Grade I listed on the Register of Historic Parks and Gardens, and the hall itself is listed Grade II* on the National Heritage List for England.

Shrubland Hall Anglo-Saxon cemetery is a 7th-century Anglo-Saxon burial site discovered at Shrubland Hall Quarry near Coddenham, Suffolk. The cemetery contains fifty burials and a number of high-status graves including "the most complicated Anglo-Saxon bed ever found." Bed burials, in which a female body is laid out on an ornamental wooden bed, usually accompanied by jewellery, are rarely found, and are considered of national importance. Only 13 bed burials have been found to date in the UK. The bed burial was one of two graves at the cemetery which were found within wooden-lined chambers. The second chamber contained a male skeleton with grave goods including a seax, a spear, a shield, an iron-bound wooden bucket, a copper alloy bowl and a drinking horn.The site was uncovered by Suffolk County Council's Archaeology Service in 1999 during exploratory excavations prior to gravel extraction by the quarry operators. Evidence of Iron Age and Roman activity had previously been identified in the area.

Bosmere and Claydon Rural District was a rural district within the administrative county of East Suffolk between 1894 and 1934. It was created out of the earlier Bosmere and Claydon rural sanitary district. It was named after the historic hundred of Bosmere and Claydon, although the rural district covered a significantly larger area than the hundred. In 1934, under a County Review Order, Bosmere and Claydon Rural District was abolished. Apart from the detached Swilland parish (to Deben Rural District) it became part of the new Gipping Rural District, and in 1974 became part of Mid Suffolk district.

Claydon railway station was a station in Great Blakenham, Suffolk. It closed to passengers in 1963. The goods facility for Blue Circle Cement, British Steel Piling and Kings Scrapyard was still staffed in the late 1970s with the staff working from the former up side station buildings.

Hemingstone Hall is a Jacobean manor house in Hemingstone close to Ipswich in Suffolk, England. It was built in the early 17th Century, around 1625, for William Style. The house is of two storeys with attics, and is built to an H-plan in red brick. James Bettley, in his 2015 revised volume, Suffolk: East, of the Pevsner Buildings of England series, records the two-storey porch with Tuscan pilasters and obelisks.Hemingstone is a Grade I listed building. It remains a private home and is not open to the public.

Coddenham is a village and civil parish in the Mid Suffolk district of Suffolk in eastern England. Located to the north of the A14 road, 8 miles north of Ipswich, the parish also includes the hamlet of Coddenham Green. In 2005 its population was 570, increasing to 620 at the 2011 Census. Village facilities include a community village shop & café, a country club offering themed evenings, darts, pool & snooker and the Coddenham Centre.

Great Blakenham is a village and civil parish in the Mid Suffolk district of Suffolk in eastern England located near the town of Ipswich. An energy from waste Centre built by SITA UK was opened in December 2014 on the former site of the Highway Agency's Depot. All refuse from residential properties in Mid Suffolk and Babergh is sent here, No refuse goes to Landfill. .A holiday centre, Valley Ridge, is planned to be built near Great Blakenham, following a series of plans initiated in 2004. As of 2021, new plans have been submitted and completion of the project is intended in 2024.
