Royal Air Force Mildenhall or more simply RAF Mildenhall (IATA: MHZ, ICAO: EGUN) is a Royal Air Force station located near Mildenhall in Suffolk, England. Despite its status as a Royal Air Force station, it primarily supports United States Air Force (USAF) operations, and is currently the home of the 100th Air Refueling Wing (100 ARW). During the Second World War, RAF Bomber Command used the station for operational combat missions until 1945. Placed on standby status after the war, it was reopened by the Royal Air Force and became a USAF-RAF joint operation base on 11 July 1950. It was assigned to Strategic Air Command (SAC), and began hosting B-50 Superfortresses in 1951, and KC-97 Stratofreighters from 1953 until 1958. The Military Air Transport Service transferred its main United Kingdom terminal to Mildenhall in 1958. In the late 1970s and throughout the 1980s U-2 and SR-71 Blackbird operations took place from the base. On 8 January 2015, the United States Department of Defense announced that operations at RAF Mildenhall would end and be relocated to Germany (Spangdahlem Air Base) and elsewhere within the UK. After a period of uncertainty it was confirmed in July 2020 that the relocation of operations would no longer take place. RAF Mildenhall, together with its sister base RAF Lakenheath, have the largest United States Air Force presence in the United Kingdom.

Beck Row, Holywell Row and Kenny Hill is a civil parish in the Forest Heath district of Suffolk, England. According to the 2001 census, it had a population of 4,048. The parish covers an area to the north of Mildenhall, including Beck Row, Holywell Row and Kenny Hill. The American military base at RAF Mildenhall is one of the main employers of this parish and is located in Beck Row, with farming and agriculture coming in second. Beck Row has an old Methodist Church where many of the locals are buried. The area around the parish includes heavily forested and heavily cultivated land. It is located in the famous fertile farming area of England; The Fens. A popular pub in the town of Beck Row is The Bird in Hand. There is also a Londis grocery store, beauty shop, Kebab restaurant, and a pet store. The parish was formed in 1999, having previously been part of Mildenhall parish.

Wilde Street Meadow is an 11.6-hectare (29-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest between Lakenheath and Mildenhall in Suffolk, England.This site has a long history of traditional management, with low intensity summer grazing. It has areas of species-rich calcareous grassland, damp pasture, scrub and dykes. There is a large population of green-winged orchids.The site is private land with no public access.

Mildenhall College Academy is a coeducational secondary school and sixth form with academy status, located in Mildenhall, Suffolk, England. The school was built in the 1970s as Mildenhall Upper School and opened to students in 1976. Previously, it was awarded Technology, Applied Learning and Science College status and changed its name to Mildenhall College of Technology. In 2012 two extra year groups formally joined the school, Years 7 and 8 pupils educated at the former Riverside Middle School site, at Sheldrick Way. The school reverted to its original name of Mildenhall College at this time. The school converted to academy status on 4 July 2014 and was renamed Mildenhall College Academy. On 14 June 2020 the academy moved to its new main building in the Mildenhall Hub at Sheldrick Way. MCA6 operates a separate but adjacent specialised sixth form building. The catchment area includes two large USAF contingents at RAF Mildenhall and RAF Lakenheath. From 2013-14 Mildenhall College Academy worked in partnership with the Gymnasium Theodorianum School in Paderborn, Germany to create a monument commemorating the Christmas Truce. The monument is thought to be the first of its kind in Europe. It is located in the Peace Village of Mesen, Belgium.Since September 2021, a post 16 football and education programme partnership has run with Ipswich Town F.C. which allows students of Mildenhall College Academy to represent the football club whilst working on their current studies in a combined setting.

Mildenhall is a market town and civil parish in Suffolk, England. The town is near the A11 road, and is 37 mi (60 km) north-west of Ipswich, the county town. The large Royal Air Force station, RAF Mildenhall, as well as RAF Lakenheath, are located north of the town. Both are used by the United States Air Force as the headquarters of its 100th Air Refueling Wing and 352nd Special Operations Group. Mildenhall is often seen as the start of The Fens on the south/east.

Wamil Way is a cricket ground in Mildenhall, Suffolk with two cricket fields, in a picturesque setting beside the River Lark. The first recorded match on the ground was in 1976, when Suffolk played Huntingdonshire. The ground hosted its first Minor Counties Championship match in the same year when Suffolk played Norfolk. From 1977 to present, the ground has hosted 30 Minor Counties Championship matches and 2 MCCA Knockout Trophy matches.The ground has also hosted List-A matches. The first List-A match played on the ground was between Suffolk and the Lancashire Cricket Board in the 2000 NatWest Trophy. The ground has hosted 2 further List-A matches involving Suffolk, against the Essex Cricket Board in the 2nd round of the 2001 Cheltenham & Gloucester Trophy and against Nottinghamshire in the 3rd round of the same competition. In local domestic cricket, the ground is the home of Mildenhall Cricket Club who play in the East Anglian Premier Cricket League.

St Mary's Church is a Grade I listed parish church in the Church of England in Mildenhall, Suffolk.

Lackford was a hundred of Suffolk, consisting of 83,712 acres (338.77 km2).The hundred fills the north western corner of Suffolk and is triangular in shape, extending about fifteen miles (24 km) in length on each side. It is bounded on the north by Norfolk, on the west by Cambridgeshire, and on the south east by Blackbourn, Thingoe and Risbridge Hundreds. It is in the Franchise or Liberty of St Edmund, in the Diocese of Ely, the Archdeaconry of Sudbury and the Deanery of Fordham. The main towns are Newmarket (detached from the rest of the hundred), Brandon and Mildenhall as well as a part of Thetford. It is watered by the rivers Lark and Little Ouse, the latter of which separates it from Norfolk and the former after crossing it near Icklingham and Mildenhall flows northward and forms its western boundary with Cambridgeshire. The area to the north west of Mildenhall consists of low fen and part of the Bedford Level who drained the fens in the 17th century. The name Lackford derives from the parish of the same name, Lackford just north-west of Bury St Edmunds, even though that village is actually in Thingoe Hundred. The village's name means "ford over the River Lark", referring to the ford on the village's border with Icklingham.

The Undley bracteate is a 5th-century bracteate found in Undley Common, near Lakenheath, Suffolk. It bears the earliest known inscription that can be argued to be in Anglo-Frisian Futhorc (as opposed to Common Germanic Elder Futhark). The image on the bracteate is an adaptation of an Urbs Roma coin type issued by Constantine the Great, conflating the helmeted head of the emperor and the image of Romulus and Remus suckled by the she-wolf on one face. With a diameter of 2.3 cm, it weighs 2.24 grams. It may have originated in northern Germany or southern Scandinavia and been brought to England with an early Anglo-Saxon settler. The inscription reads right to left around the circumference of the obverse side, terminating at the image of the wolf: ᚷ‍ᚫᚷ‍ᚩᚷ‍ᚫ ᛗᚫᚷᚫ ᛗᛖᛞᚢ g͡æg͡og͡æ mægæ meduThe o is the earliest known instance of the os rune ᚩ contrasting with the æsc rune ᚫ. The three syllables of the initial word gægogæ are written as bind runes, with side-twigs attached to the X shape of the gyfu rune to represent the vowels æ and o. The words mægæ medu are interpreted as meaning "meed for the kinsmen", i.e. "reward for relatives", referring to the bracteate itself. The word gægogæ appears to be some magical invocation or battle cry, comparable to the g͡ag͡ag͡a on the Kragehul I lance-shaft.

Mildenhall railway station is a disused railway station that was the terminus of the closed Cambridge to Mildenhall railway. It served the market town of Mildenhall, Suffolk, and closed for passengers in 1962. The station building is now a private residence and the goods shed to the west of the station has been used by local businesses for storage and other purposes.
