Linderman Creek is a river located in Tompkins County, New York. It flows into Cayuga Inlet by Ithaca, New York.

Tompkins Consolidated Area Transit, Inc., usually referred to as TCAT, is a private, non-profit public transportation operator, created by Cornell University, Tompkins County, and the City of Ithaca to serve Tompkins County, New York. The vast majority of TCAT bus routes are based in the City of Ithaca and surrounding urban area. These routes serve Ithaca College, Cornell University, and Tompkins Cortland Community College. As of 2019, TCAT operates 34 bus routes. Door to door paratransit service is provided by GADABOUT Transportation Services, Inc.

Six Mile Creek is a 20-mile-long (32 km) creek in Tompkins County, New York. It originates in the Town of Dryden near the intersection of Irish Settlement Road (Tompkins County Highway 162A) and Card Road, and drains into Cayuga Inlet which flows into Cayuga Lake. Its watershed is the principal source of drinking water for the city of Ithaca, New York and the surrounding communities. The headwaters lie on private land situated between Yellow Barn State Forest to the northwest and Hammond Hill State Forest to the southeast. It then flows south into the Town of Caroline, flowing parallel to Six Hundred Road and then crossing beneath New York State Route 79 in Slaterville Springs, after which it turns west until Brooktondale. There it turns northwest entering the Town of Ithaca. From there, the flow is interrupted by a series of dams, and then has its outlet at the Cayuga Inlet below the southern end of Cayuga Lake in the city of Ithaca.

Sciencenter is a hands-on science museum in Ithaca, New York. It was founded on February 28, 1983 as a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit educational organization. The Sciencenter grew out of the volunteer-run hands-on science program run for 15 years at several elementary schools in the Ithaca City School District. The community-based tradition continued as the museum grew to be nationally known, despite not having a paid staff until the 1990s. The Sciencenter is accredited by the American Alliance of Museums (AAM), and is a member of the Association of Science-Technology Centers (ASTC) and Association of Children's Museums.

Fall Creek is a river located in Tompkins County, New York. It flows into Cayuga Lake by Ithaca, New York. Fall Creek makes its way through the campus of Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. Beebe Lake, Triphammer Falls, and Ithaca Falls are some of its notable features. It empties into Cayuga Lake at Stewart Park.

The Hangar Theatre is a non-profit, regional theatre located at 801 Taughannock Boulevard in Ithaca, NY. Its mainstage season and children's shows occur during the summer, but the Hangar, and other organizations, utilize the space year-round for special events. The tenets of the Hangar's mission statement are to enrich, enlighten, educate and entertain.

Cascadilla School Boathouse is a historic boathouse located in Stewart Park, in Ithaca in Tompkins County, New York. The boathouse lies on the south end of Cayuga Lake. It was built in 1894–1896 in the Shingle style. It was built by the Cascadilla School as a structure to store boats. Crew rowing was extremely popular in the late 1800s, with the first FISA’s annual international event taking place in 1893. The boathouse has been in continuous use since then, for rowing storage, training, lessons and meetings of the Cascadilla Boat Club. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.The Cascadilla Boat Club currently leases from the city of Ithaca the first floor of this historic structure for $46.17 per year in perpetuity. Continuing to use the boathouse for its original purpose, CBC runs a competitive Scholastic Rowing Program as well as Youth and Adult Learn to Row classes from April through October. Cascadilla Boat Club is a not-for-profit organization, founded in 1977, with the mission of making the sport of rowing available to the entire Ithaca area community.

Ithaca Dog Park is an official dog park in Ithaca, New York. The park is part of the New York State park system. The park is located on the Festival Lands, adjacent to the Allan H. Treman State Marine Park at the head of Cayuga Lake. Part of the park is on state parkland, and some are on city land. The beach, which is on state land, is used by dogs for swimming. The parkland was created when dredging spoils were dumped there in the 1960s and is now used by birdwatchers, joggers, skiers, picnickers, and strollers. It also has a relatively undeveloped shoreline. This large park is fenced around two separate areas and has a city water supply, child-sized swimming pools for the dogs, beautiful shade trees, and benches and picnic tables for people and dogs. The park was initially developed by the Tomkins County Dog Owners Group, the city of Ithaca, and the New York State Parks Commission.

Glazer Arena is a 6,700-seat indoor arena located in Ithaca, New York. It is used primarily for athletics, and is the home of the Ithaca College Bombers indoor track and field team. The arena, named after Ithaca alumnus Edward ('92) and Shari Glazer, was made possible by their generous donation. It opened in the fall of 2011 and has since become the premier sports and entertainment venue for the Elmira/Corning/Ithaca region. In addition to track and field and concerts, the arena and the adjacent field house are also used for conventions, trade shows, graduation ceremonies and other special events and serve as the practice facility for most of Ithaca College's sports teams. Both facilities feature a total of 130,000 square feet of space; the arena itself contains a 200-meter six-lane track. Glazer Arena is part of the Athletics and Events Center complex, which also includes: Higgins Stadium, a 1,000 seat multi-purpose stadium which is home to the Ithaca College Bombers field hockey and lacrosse teams; A 950-seat aquatics pavilion with a nine-lane swimming pool which is used primarily for swimming and diving, and is home to the Bombers aquatics teams; The Wheeler Tennis Courts complex, which contains six tennis courts; The Bredbenner Gallery of Champions, located between Glazer Arena and the aquatics pavilion, which serves as Ithaca College's sports hall of fame.A glass-and-concrete tower is located near the main entrance.At the time of its completion the Athletics and Events Center complex was the largest construction project in the history of Ithaca College. The complex cost $65.5 million to build, mostly through donations.

Lehigh Valley Railroad Station is a historic railway station located at 806 West Buffalo Street, Ithaca in Tompkins County, New York. The Passenger Station and Freight Station were designed by local architect A. B. Wood and built in 1898 by the Lehigh Valley Railroad. The Passenger Station is a Classical Revival structure with a Romanesque feeling. It is a massive square building with extensions and sheltering roofs for baggage operations. At one corner is the entrance marquee and a four sided street clock mounted in a Corinthian column. The main waiting room section has a hipped roof and features a pedimented porte cochere. The Freight Station is a long, gray painted frame building with a two-story clapboarded section and a long freight storage part. Lehigh Valley passenger trains making stops there included the Black Diamond, Maple Leaf and Star.It was used as a passenger station until February 4, 1961. In 1966, local resident Joseph O. Ciaschi, an early local leader in the historic preservation movement, converted the abandoned building into a restaurant. Known as The Station, the restaurant operated until September, 2005, when it was closed and the building was converted for use as a branch office of the Chemung Canal Trust Company: an Elmira-based bank. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.

Stewart Park is a municipal park operated by the city of Ithaca, New York on the southern end of Cayuga Lake, the largest of New York's Finger Lakes.
