The Dushanbe Flagpole (Russian: Площадь государственного флага; Tajik: Боғи парчами Тоҷикистон, romanized: Boghi parchami Tojikiston) is a free–standing flagpole located in front of the Palace of Nations in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. At 165 metres (541 feet), it was the tallest flagpole in the world from its completion in 2011 until the 2014 erection of the 171 m (561 ft) Jeddah Flagpole. It is now the fourth tallest flagpole in the world. It flies a 30 m × 60 m (98 ft × 197 ft) Flag of Tajikistan weighing 700 kilograms (1,540 pounds).

Dousti Square (Tajik: Mайдони Дӯстӣ, lit. 'Friendship Square'; Russian: Площадь Дусти) is a square in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. It is connected to Rudaki Avenue and Hofizi Sherozi Avenue. It is the largest in Dushanbe.

The Assembly of Representatives (Russian: Пала́та представи́телей Вы́сшего собра́ния Респу́блики Таджикиста́н; Tajik: Маҷлиси намояндагон) is the lower house of the bicameral Supreme Assembly of Tajikistan. The People's Democratic Party of Tajikistan has been the dominant party in the legislature since 2000.

The Supreme Assembly of the Republic of Tajikistan (Tajik: Маҷлиси Олии Ҷумҳурии Тоҷикистон, Russian: Высшее собрание (Маджлиси Оли) Республики Таджикистан), also known simply as the Majlisi Oli, is the parliament of Tajikistan.

The National Library of Tajikistan (NLT; Tajik: Китобхонаи миллии Тоҷикистон, КМТ; Russian: Национальная библиотека Таджикистана) located in Dushanbe, Tajikistan is the main library of the country, specializing in preserving cultural heritage of the peoples of the Republic of Tajikistan. While the original library state library in Dushanbe was founded in 1933 and named after Persian author Ferdowsi, the new national library building opened in March, 2012 alongside its new official name. The new nine-story building features 15 reading halls as well as over 20 departments. Access to the library is free to any Tajik citizen with a Passport.

The Iranian ambassador in Dushanbe is the official representative of the Government in Tehran to the Government of Tajikistan.

Dushanbe Zoo or Dushanbe Zoological Park (Russian: Душанбинский зоопарк; Tajik: Боғи Ҳайвоноти Душанбе, romanized: Boği Hayvonoti Dushanbe) was founded in 1960 in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. The zoo is located in the center of the city on the Luchob river bank (on Ismoili Somoni Avenue), next to the Pamir Stadium, and measures roughly twice the size of the stadium.

The Gurminj Museum of Musical Instruments (Russian: Музей музыкальных инструментов имени Гурминджа Завкибекова; Tajik: Осорхонаи асбобҳои мусиқии ба номи Гурминҷ Завқибеков) ( or Gurminj Museum (Russian: Музей Гурминджа)) is a museum located in the center of Dushanbe, Tajikistan, behind the Office of the Mayor on Bokhtar Street.

The Dushanbe Stadium is a football stadium currently under construction in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, which was planned to be opened in 2021. The venue will have a capacity of 30,000 spectators.

The Tajikistan Central Stadium (Tajik: Варзишгоҳи марказии Тоҷикистон, romanized: Varzishgohi Markazii Tojikiston), also known as Pamir Stadium or Central Tajikistan Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. It is currently used mostly for football matches. The stadium currently holds 20,000. It is currently the home ground of the Tajikistan national football team, Istiqlol Dushanbe and CSKA Pamir Dushanbe. It also hosted Afghanistan national football team matches during 2022 World Cup qualification. It is located next to Dushanbe Zoo.

Russian-Tajik Slavonic University (RTSU), also known as Russian-Tajik University (Russian: Российско-Таджикский Университет), is a university in Tajikistan located in Dushanbe. University was result of cooperation of Russian and Tajik governments. The majority of the students come from Russian families living in Tajikistan and the others are from Tajik and Uzbek families. The university is a member of the Euroasian Universities Association (EUA). Besides being Russian-Tajik the university has students in many nationalities including Armenian, Georgian, Ukrainian and others from Post-Soviet states.

Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tajikistan incorporates 20 research institutes and three territorial groupings: the Pamir Branch in the eastern part of the country (with 2 institutes), the Khujand Scientific Center in the north, and the Khatlon Scientific Center in the south-west. The Academy is organized in three thematic divisions: physico-mathematical, chemical, and geological sciences; biological and medical sciences; humanities and social sciences. The incumbent president is Academician M.I. Ilolov, elected in 2005. Originally a part of the Soviet Academy of Sciences, the Tajik Academy of Sciences was established in 1951 as the Academy of Sciences of Tajik SSR, designated the highest scientific body in Tajik SSR and since 1991 in the Republic of Tajikistan.
