Dryden High School is a public high school located in Dryden, Tompkins County, New York, U.S.A., and is the only high school operated by the Dryden Central School District. This district is in New York State's southern tier and encompasses an area of 110 square miles (280 km2) and serves a population of about 1900 students. The school's mascot is a Purple Lion.

The Hartung–Boothroyd Observatory (HBO) is located atop Mount Pleasant near the Cornell University in Ithaca, New York (US). It is used mainly as a teaching facility for upper-level undergraduate astronomy classes. The observatory is named to recognize funding from M. John Hartung, a 1908 Cornell graduate and later chemical industrialist, and to honor Samuel L. Boothroyd, the founder of Cornell's Department of Astronomy. The facility was designed and directed from 1974-2012 by James R. Houck. The primary 0.6m mirror was constructed from a Pyrex 1/8-scale test pouring as part of technology development for the Palomar Observatory 200-inch telescope. The mirror was polished and mounted in a lightweight tube in the late 1930s under Boothroyd's direction, but World War II deferred its planned use in a high-altitude observatory. This facility, together with an equatorial fork mount to hold the previously completed telescope, was completed in 1974.

West Dryden Methodist Episcopal Church is a historic Methodist Episcopal church located at Dryden in Tompkins County, New York. It is a two-story, frame church structure built in 1832 in the Federal style. It was remodeled during 1870–1890. It features a tower with an octagonal belfry. Since 1966 it has been used as the West Dryden Community Center.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.

It was built about 1860 and is a 2-story, wood-frame residence consisting of a three-by-three-bay main portion and two-by-two-bay rear wing in the Italianate style.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

It was built about 1845 and is a 2+1⁄2-story, five-by-four-bay, frame residence representative of the transition from the Federal to Greek Revival style. It features Doric order porticoed porches on the front and side.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.
