Woodville South, South Australia

The Queen Elizabeth Hospital (TQEH) is an acute care teaching hospital in the western suburbs of Adelaide, South Australia. It provides a range of health services, including inpatient, outpatient, surgical, emergency and mental health services.

The City of Woodville was a local government area in South Australia from 1875 to 1993, seated at the inner north west Adelaide suburb of Woodville.

The City of Hindmarsh Woodville was a local government area in South Australia from 1993 to 1997 seated at the inner north west Adelaide suburbs of Hindmarsh and Woodville. It came into existence on 2 August 1993 with the amalgamation of the Town of Hindmarsh and the City of Woodville as the City of Hindmarsh and Woodville, following a Local Government Advisory Commission report on 16 July that was supportive of the merger. (It would later drop the "and" from its name.) The council was composed of a mayor, 6 aldermen and 22 councillors. It retained the eleven wards of its two predecessor councils (Albert Park, Beverley, Brompton-Bowden, Cheltenham, Croydon, Findon, Hindmarsh, Seaton, Semaphore Park, West Croydon and Woodville), each of which were represented by two councillors. John Dyer, the last mayor of Woodville, was appointed mayor at its inception and served throughout its existence. The council was short-lived, as on 1 January 1997 it amalgamated with the City of Henley and Grange to form the City of Charles Sturt.

Woodville is a suburb of Adelaide, situated about 8 kilometres northwest of the Central Business District of Adelaide. It lies within the City of Charles Sturt. The postcode of Woodville is 5011. Woodville is bound by Cheltenham Parade to the west, Torrens Road to the north, Port Road to the south and Park Street to the east, excluding the area of Cheltenham Park Racecourse.

Woodville railway station is the junction station for the Grange and Outer Harbor lines with the lines diverging immediately north of the station. Situated in the western Adelaide suburb of Woodville, it is 7.5 kilometres from Adelaide station. It has auto pedestrian gates and lights. Platform 3 had a small kiosk, built around 2006, that sells refreshments and tickets, but has not been opened since 2009.

Holdens railway station was located on the Grange line in the western Adelaide suburb of Woodville. It was located 7.8 kilometres from Adelaide station. Its position was adjacent to the SA Manufacturing Park, which was previously owned by Holden.

Woodville Oval (currently Maughan Thiem Hyundai Oval and formerly Unleash Solar Oval) is primarily an Australian rules football and cricket oval found on Oval Avenue in the western Adelaide suburb of Woodville South in South Australia. It is the home ground of South Australian National Football League (SANFL) club the Woodville-West Torrens Eagles, and the former home (1941–90) of the Woodville Football Club, with the former's clubrooms and administrations offices now housing The Eagles. The oval is also the home of the Woodville Cricket Club who play in the South Australian Grade Cricket League.

Woodville Park railway station is located on the Grange and Outer Harbor lines. Situated in the western Adelaide suburb of Woodville Park, it is 6.8 kilometres from Adelaide station.

Woodville West is a suburb of Adelaide, situated about 9 kilometres northwest of the Central Business District. It lies within the City of Charles Sturt. The postcode of Woodville West is 5011. Woodville West is bounded by the railway line and Port Road in the north, Findon Road in the east, Trimmer Parade, Todville Street and Minns Street East in the south, and Frank Mitchell Park, Agnes Street and the railway line in the west. As of 2011, Renewal SA and the City of Charles Sturt have been implementing the Woodville West Neighbourhood Renewal Project, which involves an $130m property development.

Cheltenham is a single-member electoral district for the South Australian House of Assembly. Named after the suburb of the same name, it is a 17.5 km² suburban electorate in Adelaide's north-west, taking in the suburbs of Albert Park, Alberton, Beverley, Cheltenham, Findon, Hendon, Pennington, Queenstown, St Clair, Woodville, Woodville North, Woodville Park, Woodville South, Woodville West, and part of Rosewater. The Cheltenham electorate is inside the federal-level electorate of Port Adelaide. Cheltenham was created in the 1998 electoral distribution as a safe Labor seat, replacing the abolished seat of Price. In August 2001 the 17-year Price incumbent Murray De Laine was defeated in a factional preselection in favour of future premier Jay Weatherill. De Laine subsequently contested the 2002 election as an independent with 9.7% of the primary vote. In the 2016 electoral boundary redistribution, the suburbs of Beverley and Woodville Park were added to the seat from Croydon district, while Athol Park was lost to Croydon district, Royal Park was lost to Lee district and portions of Port Adelaide and Rosewater shifted into Port Adelaide district. The current member is Joe Szakacs of the Labor Party. Szakacs was elected in the 2019 Cheltenham state by-election on 9 February, replacing former premier Jay Weatherill.

Cheltenham Park Racecourse was a horse racing track located in the suburb of Cheltenham in Adelaide, South Australia. It was situated north-west of the centre of the city and approximately five kilometres from Port Adelaide. The track was 2052 metres in circumference with a 325-metre straight.

St Clair is a suburb of Adelaide, South Australia, and administered by the City of Charles Sturt. St Clair is geographically located with in the Hundred of Yatala, and was first recorded as the name for the suburb on 6 November 2012 by the Surveyor General of South Australia. The suburb is bounded by Cheltenham Parade, Torrens Road, Woodville Road and the Outer Harbor train line. The Cheltenham Park Racecourse was located here up until the late 2000s and new houses were built in the years after that.
