Reinhardtsgrimma is a former municipality in the district of Weißeritzkreis in Saxony in Germany located near Dresden. On 2 January 2008, it merged into the town Glashütte. Its church features an organ by Gottfried Silbermann.

Kreischa is a municipality in the Sächsische Schweiz-Osterzgebirge district, Saxony, Germany. It directly borders the Saxon capital Dresden and consists of 14 districts. Kreischa was first mentioned in 1282 in the name Heinricus de Kryschowe. The name could be derived from an Old Slavic word meaning "crooked" or "lame".

The Battle of Maxen (20 November 1759) was a battle at Maxen, in the Electorate of Saxony during the Third Silesian War (part of the Seven Years' War). It resulted in surrender of a Prussian corps. The Prussian corps of 14,000 men, commanded by Friedrich August von Finck (one of Frederick the Great's generals), was sent to threaten lines of communication between the Austrian army at Dresden and Bohemia. Field Marshal Count Daun attacked and defeated Finck's isolated corps on 20 November 1759 with his army of 40,000 men. The next day (21 November) Finck decided to surrender.

The Schmorsdorf lime tree (German: Schmorsdorfer Linde) is a natural monument located in the center of Schmorsdorf, Müglitztal, in the Saxony district of Sächsische Schweiz-Osterzgebirge, Germany. This large-leaved linden (Tilia platyphyllos) is estimated to be 400 to 800 years old. The circumference of its trunk is about 11 meters, and it stands at a height of around 24 meters. The tree gained historical significance during the Thirty Years’ War and was first mentioned in writing around 1630 due to its impressive size. Notably, the renowned pianist and composer Clara Schumann visited the Linden Tree multiple times between 1836 and 1849. In her honor, the Linden Museum, which opened next to the tree in 2006, was named after her and remains the only museum of its kind in Germany. The Schmorsdorf lime tree has been recognized by the Deutsche Baumarchiv (German Tree Archive) as a “National Bedeutsamen Bäumen (NBB)” (Nationally Significant Tree), with its trunk circumference serving as the primary selection criterion for this distinction.

The Babisnau poplar (German: Babisnauer Pappel) is a black poplar (Populus nigra) located near Babisnau, a district of the municipality of Kreischa in Saxony in Germany. It stands prominently on a plateau south of Dresden. It was planted in 1808 by Johann Gottlieb Becke, a landowner from Babisnau, as a border tree marking the boundary of his property. This tree has held the status of a natural monument since 1936. Over the years, it has endured significant crown damage due to strong storms in 1967 and 1996. The poplar currently stands at a height of 17.3 meters with a trunk circumference of 5.1 meters. This tree is a popular excursion spot due to its panoramic views of the surrounding area, including the city of Dresden. During the German War in 1866, the poplar was used as a lookout point with a temporary observation scaffold. A permanent lookout scaffold was built next to the tree in 1885 and later renovated in 1922, 1963, and 1999. Since 1993, the Babisnau poplar has been vegetatively propagated on multiple occasions. According to local legend, the poplar's blossoming, which does not occur every year, is a sign of an impending end to a war. The Wendelauf, a popular race that circles the poplar, takes place twice a year.
