Northfield Falls, Vermont

The Northfield Falls Covered Bridge, also called the Station Covered Bridge, is a wooden covered bridge that carries Cox Brook Road across the Dog River in Northfield, Vermont. Built in 1872, this Town lattice truss bridge is one of five surviving covered bridges in the town, and one of two that are visible from each other (the other is the Lower Cox Brook Covered Bridge). It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.

The Lower Cox Brook Covered Bridge is a wooden covered bridge that crosses Cox Brook in Northfield, Vermont on Cox Brook Road. Built in 1872, it is one of five surviving 19th-century covered bridges in the town, in the only place in Vermont where two historic bridges are visible from each other. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.

The Slaughter House (or Slaughterhouse) Covered Bridge is a wooden covered bridge that carries Slaughterhouse Road across the Dog River in Northfield, Vermont. The Queen post truss bridge is one of five surviving 19th-century bridges in the town. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.

Dog River is a tributary to the Winooski River near Montpelier, Vermont. It is an important trout stream due to its biodiversity, and some consider it the best trout stream in the state for angling.

The Lover's Lane Bridge is a historic bridge spanning the Dog River in Berlin, Vermont. Built in 1915, it is a rare early 20th-century example of a Warren pony truss bridge. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2006 as Bridge No. 27.

Hapgood State Forest covers 118 acres (0.48 km2) in Peru, Vermont in Bennington County. The forest is managed by the Vermont Department of Forests, Parks, and Recreation and surrounds the summit of 3,260-foot Bromley Mountain. Much of this State Forest is leased to Bromley, Inc. to be operated as a ski area.

Boyer State Forest covers 354 acres (1.43 km2) in Berlin, Vermont in Washington County. The forest is managed by the Vermont Department of Forests, Parks, and Recreation. Activities in the forest include hiking, mountain biking, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, hunting and wildlife viewing.

It is one of the 108 one or two member districts into which the state was divided by the redistricting and reapportionment plan developed by the Vermont General Assembly following the 2000 U.S. Census. The plan applies to legislatures elected in 2002, 2004, 2006, 2008, and 2010. A new plan will be developed in 2012 following the 2010 U.S. Census. The Washington-2 District includes all of the Washington County towns of Moretown, Northfield, and Roxbury. As of the 2000 census, the state as a whole had a population of 608,827. As there are a total of 150 representatives, there were 4,059 residents per representative (or 8,118 residents per two representatives). The two member Washington-2 District had a population of 8,020 in that same census, 1.21% below the state average.

The rest of the City of Barre is in Washington-3-1 and Washington-3-2. As of the 2000 census, the state as a whole had a population of 608,827. As there are a total of 150 representatives, there were 4,059 residents per representative (or 8,118 residents per two representatives). The one member Washington-3-3 District had a population of 3,799 in that same census, 6.41% below the state average.

Berlin ( bur-LIN) is a town in Washington County, Vermont, United States, founded in 1763. The population was 2,849 at the 2020 census. Being the town between Barre and Montpelier, the two largest cities in the region, much of the commercial business of the region can be found in Berlin, including parts of the Barre-Montpelier Road (U.S. Route 302), and the Berlin Mall.

The Chauncey B. Leonard House is a historic house on Shed Road at Crosstown Road in Berlin, Vermont. Built about 1845, it is one of the oldest houses in Berlin, built in the Berlin Corners area that was once the town center. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1995.
