WUSR, also known as 99.5 WUSR Scranton Royal Radio, is a college radio station broadcasting at 99.5 MHz FM in Scranton, Pennsylvania. It is owned and operated by the University of Scranton.

Bald Mountain is a prominent peak in Northeastern Pennsylvania which stands above the Wilkes-Barre and Scranton area (also known as the Wyoming Valley). On the summit is an outcrop of Catskill conglomerate (Devonian age) known as the "Pinnacle Rock". From the summit you may view the northernmost extension of the geologic province known as the Glaciated Low Plateaus section. The mountain itself is in the Ridge and Valley Appalachians. It is a great place for photography. To access the summit you can take the Pinnacle Rock trail. The trailhead is on the west side of the mountain and is a nine hundred foot vertical gain.

WWRR is a classic hits radio station in Scranton, Pennsylvania, United States, known as The River, 105 and 103-5. WWRR programming is simulcast on co-owned WYCK (1340 AM), licensed to nearby Plains, as well as WYCK’s translators W264CG (100.7 FM) Wilkes-Barre and W285FT (104.9 FM) Hazleton. The station's logo was featured in a fourth season episode of the NBC sitcom The Office, along with sister station WICK. On April 1, 2018, WWRR began simulcasting on WMMZ 103.5 FM Berwick.

McDade Park is a community park located in Scranton in Lackawanna County, in northeastern Pennsylvania. It is named after former U.S. Representative Joseph M. McDade. The park is located on 200 acres (0.81 km2) of land, containing an outdoor pool, a fishing pond as well as a more isolated pond, basketball courts, hiking trails, tennis courts and two picnic pavilions. The park also contains an arboretum and numerous natural gardens. In addition, the park has a children's playground area, a creek, two baseball fields and numerous hills which are ideal for sledding during northeastern Pennsylvania's winter season. The park has free admission for all activities.

Ransom Township is a township in Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 1,401 at the 2020 census. The township includes the village of Milwaukee.

Taylor is a borough in Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania, United States, 3 miles (5 km) southwest of Scranton on the Lackawanna River. It was founded in 1790 by Cornelius Atherton. Silk manufacturing and coal mining were once practiced in the borough. Most of Taylor is built over abandoned mines. The Pennsylvania Turnpike Northeast Extension (I-476), accessible via the Keyser Avenue Interchange, passes through Taylor, going north to Clarks Summit and south to Philadelphia. The population of Taylor at the 2020 census was 6,302.

Lucky Run (also known as Lucky Run Creek) is a tributary of Keyser Creek in Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania, in the United States. It is approximately 2.4 miles (3.9 km) long and flows through Ransom Township and Scranton. The watershed of the creek has an area of 1.66 square miles (4.3 km2). It is considered to be a Coldwater Fishery and contains trout. However, it loses flow to underground mine pools. Land uses in its watershed include forests, open space, and industrial land. A county park known as McDade Park is in the stream's vicinity.

Keyser Creek (historically known as Keyser's Creek, Beaver Run or Beaver Creek) is a tributary of the Lackawanna River in Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania, in the United States. It is approximately 6.1 miles (9.8 km) long and flows through Newton Township, Ransom Township, Scranton, and Taylor. The watershed of the creek has an area of 8.59 square miles (22.2 km2). It is designated as a Coldwater Fishery and a Migratory Fishery. The creek has two named tributaries: Lucky Run and Lindy Creek. The watershed of Keyser Creek was historically affected by coal mining and has been channelized. It has no flow in dry conditions, although it does have some during and after storms. As of 1991, the watershed is mostly forested. The first white settlers in Lackawanna County settled near the creek in 1769. Keyser Creek is a major second-order tributary of the Lackawanna River. Since 2013, a trailhead of the Lackawanna River Heritage Trail has been situated near the creek. A number of bridges have also been built across the creek.
