Haymill Valley

Burnham railway station is a railway station serving Burnham, Buckinghamshire, England, 20 miles 77 chains (33.7 km) from London Paddington and situated between Slough to the east and Taplow to the west. The station is in Haymill, a ward of western Slough, about half a mile to the south of Burnham proper. Originally in Buckinghamshire, the station transferred into the county of Berkshire when county boundaries were realigned in 1974. The station is served by local services operated by the Elizabeth line. The station is on the Great Western Main Line, the original line of the Great Western Railway.

Burnham Grammar School (BGS) is a co-educational grammar school in Burnham, Buckinghamshire. In October 2011 the school became an academy. It takes students aged 11–18, with approximately 900 on roll.The school has an all-weather full-sized tiger-turf sports pitch that the Wycombe Wanderers first team occasionally train on, complete with floodlights and changing room facilities. In September 2004 the Department for Education and Skills (DfES) awarded the school specialist school status as a science college.In May 2011 the school applied for academy status in order to be released from local education authority (LEA) control. The school has a vertical tutoring system and students are split into four houses: Winton – after Nicholas Winton Roosevelt – after Eleanor Roosevelt King – after Martin Luther King Jr. Ali – after Muhammad AliThe current headteacher is Andrew Gillespie, who took over from Catherine Long in January 2008. Previous to this, he was a regular teacher at the school. For the last seven years, Burnham Grammar School has been the location of "Lighthouse Burnham". Lighthouse is a holiday week for children run by Christians from many local churches.

Cocksherd Wood is a 4.8-hectare (12-acre) Local Nature Reserve in Slough in Berkshire. It is owned by Slough Borough Council and managed by Evergreen 2000. The reserve is known locally as Bluebell Wood.

Huntercombe is an area of Cippenham in Slough in the English historic county of Buckinghamshire, although it was administered as part of Berkshire between 1974 and 1996. It adjoins Burnham in Buckinghamshire. The district is well known to residents of Slough and Burnham, but is usually not listed on maps of the area. The area includes the public house Huntercombe Arms, situated on the Huntercombe Roundabout. This leads to the Huntercombe Spur, a dual carriageway to J7 on the M4 Motorway. On the Burnham side of the area, it includes the Maidenhead Huntercombe Hospital (formerly Huntercombe Manor), which is part of The Huntercombe Group, and Burnham Abbey.

The E-ACT Burnham Park Academy was a co-educational academy in Burnham, Buckinghamshire, England until it closed in 2019 due to falling pupil numbers. It. A small part of the campus is located in neighbouring Slough, Berkshire. The academy was sponsored by E-ACT, and had approximately 235 pupils.The school operated as a comprehensive school in a selective local authority. Approximately 40% of students came from Buckinghamshire, with the remainder coming from West Slough. In 2021, the Netflix series Heartstopper was filmed on the grounds of the school after its closure.

Slough Trading Estate is the largest industrial estate in single private ownership in Europe. There are over 600 buildings. The estate is home to 400 tenants from countries including the US, France, Italy, Japan, Germany and South Korea. Companies using the park include Fiat Group Automobiles, Centrica, Hibu, Electrolux, GSK, Mars Confectionery, Akzo Nobel, Virgin Media, O2, AxFlow UK, the datacentre operator Network-i and OKI Printing Solutions. It is also home to important small, medium and large businesses. The estate's power station supplies heat and power to local customers by burning waste.

Chalvey Sports Football Club is a football club based in the Chalvey area of Slough, England. They are currently members of the Thames Valley Premier League Premier Division and play at Eltham Avenue in Slough.

Burnham Abbey was a house of Augustinian canonesses regular near Burnham in Buckinghamshire, England. It was founded in 1266 by Richard, 1st Earl of Cornwall. The abbey of St Mary consisted of around twenty nuns at the outset, but was never wealthy and by the time of its dissolution in 1539 there were only ten.Since 1916 the surviving buildings have been the home of an Anglican contemplative community, the Society of the Precious Blood who retain the name "Burnham Abbey".

The Westgate School is a co-educational secondary school with academy status in the Cippenham area of the town of Slough in the English county of Berkshire. Burnham is a large village and civil parish that lies north of the River Thames in Buckinghamshire, between the towns of Maidenhead and Slough, about 24 miles west of Charing Cross, London. It is probably best known for the nearby Burnham Beeches woodland. The village is served by Burnham railway station on the main line between London Paddington and Reading. The M4 motorway passes through the south of the parish.

Britwell is a residential housing estate and civil parish in the north west of Slough, Berkshire, South East England. It is about 23 miles (37 km) west of Charing Cross, the centremost point of London. The name Britwell derives from the old English beorhtan wiellan meaning 'bright, clear well'.

Cippenham Moat refers to the remains of a 13th Century Royal Palace created by King Henry III, located in the Cippenham suburb of Slough, in Berkshire. The area where the Palace once stood is still referred to and marked on maps as Cippenham Moat.Richard, 1st Earl of Cornwall - brother to Henry III - had his honeymoon here, and later created a deer park. By 1575, however, Saxton's map shows the parks at Windsor and Langley, but not Cippenham. It was rediscovered by farmers in early Victorian times and is now a listed monument.
