Wörth (Rhein) station

Wörth am Rhein (German pronunciation: [vœʁt] ) is a town in the southernmost part of the district of Germersheim, in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It is on the left bank of the Rhine approximately 10 km west of the city centre of Karlsruhe and is just north of the German-French border. Daimler AG's largest truck production plant (2.8 km2) has been located in the town since 1960.

The Maxau Rhine Bridges (Rheinbrücken Maxau) connect the Baden-Württemberg city of Karlsruhe and the Rhineland-Palatinate town of Wörth in Germany. They cross the Rhine in the suburb of Maxau in the Karlsruhe district of Knielingen and the Wörth suburb of Maximiliansau. The Hofgut Maxau (Maxau estate), established by Maximilian von Baden (1796–1882), younger son of Charles Frederick, Grand Duke of Baden, that Maxau is named after is located on the east bank of the Rhine near the bridge. Today there are two parallel bridge structures for road and rail traffic.

Hagenbach (German pronunciation: [ˈhaːɡn̩ˌbax] ) is a town in the district of Germersheim, in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It is situated near the border with France, on the left bank of the Rhine, approx. 10 km west of Karlsruhe. Hagenbach is the seat of the Verbandsgemeinde ("collective municipality") Hagenbach.

Germersheim (German: [ˈɡɛɐ̯mɐsˌhaɪm] ) is a district in the south-east of Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. Neighboring districts are (from west clockwise) Südliche Weinstraße, Rhein-Pfalz-Kreis, the district Karlsruhe as well as the district-free city of Karlsruhe, and the French département Bas-Rhin.

The Federbach is a roughly 41-kilometre-long (25 mi) stream in the German state of Baden-Württemberg. It flows through the districts of Karlsruhe and Rastatt and discharges today near the Karlsruhe district of Maxau into the Alb. Its source region lies in the municipality of Malsch on the edge of the Northern Black Forest. Unlike the other streams on the right-hand side of the Upper Rhine Plain the Federbach flows from Malsch initially southwest, then swings west near Muggensturm and accompanies the Rhine northwards for a long way after entering the Rhine lowlands. As a result of the influence of man from the early 18th century to the 1930s the course of the Federbach was significantly changed. The 1993 water management and ecological pilot project, "Federbach lowland development concept" (Entwicklungskonzept Federbachniederung) aimed to develop the Federbach and its lowland areas into a near-natural region. The planned measures were implemented in 14 construction phases from 1995 to 2009.

Jockgrim station is the only station in the town of Jockgrim in the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate. Deutsche Bahn classifies it as a category 6 station and it has two platform tracks. It is located on the network of the Karlsruher Verkehrsverbund (Karlsruhe Transport Association, KVV) and belongs to fare zone 555. Since 2001, the station has also been part of the area where the fares of the Verkehrsverbund Rhein-Neckar (Rhine-Neckar Transport Association, VRN) are accepted at a transitional rate. Its address is Am Bahnhof 1.It is located on the Schifferstadt–Wörth railway and was opened on 25 July 1876 with the commissioning of the Germersheim–Wörth section of that railway. It is now classified as a Haltepunkt (halt). Since late 2010, it has been part of the Karlsruhe Stadtbahn. Its former entrance building is heritage-listed.

Jockgrim is a municipality in the district of Germersheim, in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It is situated on the left bank of the Rhine, approximately 15 km north-west of Karlsruhe. Jockgrim is the seat of the Verbandsgemeinde ("collective municipality") Jockgrim. Jockgrim station is on Schifferstadt–Wörth railway and is served by the Karlsruhe Stadtbahn. In 1965, Jockgrim celebrated the 700th anniversary of the old part of town: Hinterstadtl. This picturesque area has a bi-annual festival called Hinterstadtl Fest which takes place on the first weekend of September. In 2015 they were celebrating the 750th anniversary.

The Lauter (in its upper course also: Wieslauter) is a river in Germany and France. The Lauter is a left tributary of the Rhine. Its length is 55 kilometres (34 mi), of which 39 km is in France and on the France–Germany border. It is formed by the confluence of two headstreams (Scheidbach and Wartenbach) north of Hinterweidenthal in the Palatine Forest in the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate. It flows through Dahn, crosses the border with France, flows through Wissembourg, and then forms the French-German international boundary until its confluence with the Rhine near Lauterbourg and Neuburg am Rhein.

Neuburg am Rhein is a municipality in the district of Germersheim, in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It is the southernmost municipality in the state.
