Keown Station is a small community within Ross Township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, United States. Keown Station is located near the corner of Babcock Boulevard and Three Degree Road. The area served as a stop along the Harmony Short Line Railroad, which previously ran from the City of Pittsburgh to points north.

The Block Northway is a shopping mall in Ross Township, north of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States. It is located at the corner of McKnight Road and Babcock Boulevard, just north of Ross Park Mall. LRC Realty, an Akron, Ohio-based real estate developer, redeveloped and redesigned the mall into the present-day configuration as a shopping and entertainment mall anchored by Dave & Buster's, Nordstrom Rack, Saks Off 5th, The Container Store, Bassett Furniture, Marshalls, DSW, Ulta Beauty and PetSmart.

Vincentian Academy was a Roman Catholic college preparatory school near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It is located in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh. In February 2020 the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth announced the school would cease operations after the 2019-2020 school year.

Northland Public Library is a public library serving a north suburban area of Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. Located in McCandless Township about eight miles north of downtown Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, it is operated as a municipal authority supported by the residents of McCandless, Ross Township, the Borough of Franklin Park, Marshall Township, and the Borough of Bradford Woods. It is one of the largest suburban public libraries in Pennsylvania with over 38,000 cardholders and well over 1.1 million items circulated in 2012. The library is a member of the Allegheny County Library Association.

North Allegheny Intermediate High School (NAI) is a suburban high school in the North Allegheny School District located in McCandless, Pennsylvania, a community north of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It is one of two high schools in the district and serves grades 9 and 10. According to the National Center for Education Statistics, in 2011, the North Allegheny Intermediate High School reported an enrollment of 1,298 pupils in grades 9th and 10th. The school employed 93 teachers, yielding a student-teacher ratio of 13:1.In 2007, the ethnic breakdown among the school population was 91.4% Caucasian, 6.3% Asian/Pacific Islander, 1.5% African American, and 0.7% Hispanic.The school opened in 1954 as the North Allegheny Junior-Senior High School with 33 classrooms for grades 7-12. The design of the building was award-winning in its time, with distinct features include six letter-coded sloping hallways (or ramps) and most classrooms divided by outdoor courtyard spaces (unusual in school design for the time period). The building was expanded further in 1957 and 1963, adding classrooms in the rear of the building. The building became North Allegheny Senior High School (NASH) for grades 11-12 in 1969 upon the opening of Thomas E. Carson Intermediate High School (now Carson Middle School). The building assumed its current role as the Intermediate High School for grades 9-10 in 1974, when the new and current Senior High School in Wexford opened. A major renovation in 1997 expanded the building through the addition of the lower gym, larger cafeteria, and new front wing addition. The most recent renovation to the facility was completed in 2017.

McCandless Crossing is an open-air lifestyle center in McCandless, Pennsylvania, about 10 miles north of Pittsburgh. The $100 million development was completed in late 2016.

Perrysville is a community in Ross Township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, about 7 miles (11 km) north of Pittsburgh on Perry Highway (U.S. Route 19). It is a populated place of Allegheny County. It was historically a stagecoach stop and known as the village of Perryville. Like communities to the north and south of it, Perrysville's main street is lined with small businesses interspersed with residences and several churches.

McCandless is a township with home rule status in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 29,709 at the 2020 census. It is a northern suburb of the Pittsburgh metropolitan area. McCandless is part of the North Allegheny School District and participates in the multi-municipality Northland Public Library. It has been ranked highly among Money Magazine's "Best Places to Live".Though McCandless no longer operates under the First Class Township Code, it is classified as a first-class township for certain purposes. The inclusion of the word "Town" in its name sometimes causes confusion, since with one exception, a "town" is not a municipal unit in Pennsylvania.

La Roche University is a private Catholic university in McCandless, Pennsylvania. It was founded in 1963 by the Sisters of Divine Providence and now sits on an 80-acre (320,000 m2) campus within the Diocese of Pittsburgh.

North Hills High School is a suburban high school located in Ross Township, a northern suburb of Pittsburgh. It serves students in grades 9–12 in the North Hills School District. The school's mascot is the Indian and its official colors are red and white.

Ross Park Mall is a shopping mall located in Ross Township, Pennsylvania, north of Pittsburgh. The mall features JCPenney, Macy's, Nordstrom, and Dick's House of Sports (coming soon). With 170 stores, Ross Park Mall is currently the sixth-largest shopping mall in Pennsylvania. An outdoor lifestyle component complements the enclosed center.
