West Lutheran High School is a private Lutheran co-educational secondary school located in Plymouth, a suburb of the Twin Cities, in Minnesota, in the United States. It is operated by 20 Lutheran congregations belonging to the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod and the Evangelical Lutheran Synod. It is accredited by the Minnesota Nonpublic School Accrediting Association (MNSAA).The school was opened in 1979 in temporary quarters. A permanent facility was established in 1996. It serves grades 9–12 and has a student body of about 140.

Maple Grove is a suburban city in Hennepin County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 70,253 at the 2020 census. making it Minnesota's 11th most populous city. Heritage Christian Academy is a private Christian school which educates children from Kindergarten Development class for three-year-olds through the high school grades. It is an outreach ministry of Grace Free Lutheran Church, formerly Medicine Lake Lutheran Church, to the Christian community (students from 80 different area churches attend this school). Heritage Christian Academy was founded in 1981 by members of Medicine Lake Lutheran Church as Medicine Lake Lutheran Academy. The school's first president was Mrs. Beverly Enderlein. She retired in 2006, after 25 years as president. The current president is Mrs. Tonya Scott. In the summer of 2002, the name Medicine Lake Lutheran Academy was changed to Heritage Christian Academy. In January 2003, Heritage Christian Academy opened the doors of its new facility in Maple Grove, where it now houses Kindergarten Development through 12th grades. Heritage Christian Academy is a member of the Association of Christian Schools International, the same organization through which accreditation is being pursued. The Heritage girls' volleyball team made history in 2015 when they won the section 4A tournament and advanced to the Class A state tournament, where they got third place. The volleyball team won the section 4A tournament and proceeded to state again in 2016, where they placed fourth.

Wayzata High School is a comprehensive public high school in Plymouth, Minnesota, United States, a suburb of Minneapolis. The high school, operated by Wayzata Public Schools, had about 3711 students in grades 9 to 12 as of 10/1/23, making it Minnesota's largest secondary school by enrollment. It is also Minnesota's largest secondary school by size, with an interior of 658,000 square feet (61,100 m2). The district boundaries include all or part of eight municipalities: Corcoran, Maple Grove, Medicine Lake, Medina, Minnetonka, Orono, Plymouth, and Wayzata. The school finished an expansion project in 2017 with the new capacity of 3,900. It is part of the Lake Conference. Scott Gengler is the principal. In 2015, Newsweek ranked the school 150th on its "List of the 500 Top High Schools in America". U.S. News & World Report ranked the school 432nd among 21,000 schools nationally and 6th in Minnesota in 2021.

Plymouth is a city in Hennepin County in the U.S. state of Minnesota. A suburb in the Minneapolis–Saint Paul metropolitan area, the city is about 10 miles (16 km) west of downtown Minneapolis. The population was 81,026 at the 2020 census, making it Minnesota's 7th-largest city.

Hamel is a neighborhood of Medina, Hennepin County, Minnesota, United States. Hamel has its own fire station and post office with ZIP code 55340.The area was platted as a city as early as 1879, but efforts to incorporate failed, in part, because of the complication of the town straddling the borders of both Medina and Plymouth. The post office in Hamel serves both the northern portion of Medina and the southern area of Corcoran.

Lost Lake is located entirely within the city limits of Mound, Minnesota. It is part of Lake Minnetonka and considered by the city of Mound to be important to its re-development plans with the hope being that boat users will increase its downtown business traffic. In the past, lake steamers used Lost Lake's channel or canal to bring tourists into the downtown area, when Lake Minnetonka was a resort area. The channel has been re-dredged, docks have been built, and the clean-up of nearby contaminated soil has been done. The lake's name is assumed to be based on its being nearly completely overgrown by cattails and reeds. But that is said to serve the valuable purpose of filtering the surface runoff into Lake Minnetonka.

Arbor Lakes is a commercial and residential district located in downtown Maple Grove, Minnesota, United States. Construction of Arbor Lakes began in the late 1990s with a simulacrum of a traditional American Main Street designed in neotraditional style. The second phase (completed in 2003) included the Shoppes at Arbor Lakes, Minnesota's first lifestyle center, which includes neotraditional elements. The third phase, The Fountains at Arbor Lakes, is approximately 850,000 square feet (79,000 m2) in size and includes a Main Street-inspired entrance, with two hotels, several restaurants, and a number of junior anchors. The fourth phase, The Village at Arbor Lakes, which will be 295,470 square feet (27,450 m2) when completed, will include a Home2 Suites by Hilton hotel, a SpringHill Suites hotel, up to 700 apartments, and some retail.

Robbinsdale Armstrong High School (AHS; full name Robbinsdale Neil A. Armstrong Senior High School) is located in Plymouth, Minnesota, just outside Minneapolis. The school serves students from the cities of Robbinsdale, Crystal, New Hope, Plymouth and Golden Valley. The school offers core subjects as well as technology education, physical education, and the fine arts. Newsweek ranked the school 1324. In their "List of the 1500 Top High Schools in America," and The Washington Post ranked AHS as #11 in Minnesota. Armstrong, along with the Robbinsdale Area School District, have also been ranked among the "100 Best Communities for Music Education" by the American Music Conference.The school's athletic programs have made it to state competitions on many occasions. School tradition maintains that the school's rival is Robbinsdale Cooper. Together, Robbinsdale Armstrong and Robbinsdale Cooper serve the secondary school population of over 4000 students in the district.

Free Lutheran Bible College and Seminary (FLBCS) is one institution of higher education consisting of two programs, the two-year undergraduate Free Lutheran Bible College (FLBC) and the four-year pastoral training program Free Lutheran Seminary (FLS). FLBCS is accredited through the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (TRACS), a member of the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA), and an associate member of the Association for Biblical Higher Education (ABHE). FLBCS is located in Plymouth, Minnesota, near the national offices of the Association of Free Lutheran Congregations (AFLC).

Medicine Lake is an inland lake located approximately 8 miles northwest of downtown Minneapolis, Minnesota. The lake lies within Hennepin County and is surrounded by two municipalities. At 902 acres, it is Hennepin County's second largest lake behind Lake Minnetonka and is popular among boaters, sailors, and fishers. Medicine Lake's most significant tributary is Plymouth Creek, which enters the lake at West Medicine Lake Park. The lake is also fed by rain and drainage from nearby cities, including Medicine Lake, Plymouth, New Hope, Golden Valley and Minnetonka.
