Liberty is a borough in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 2,355 at the 2020 census.The mayor of Liberty is currently Jane Weigand. Liberty does not have its own post office. The zip code is 15133, and mail is addressed to the city of McKeesport. Liberty is part of the South Allegheny School District, along with Glassport, Lincoln, and Port Vue, and is home to the district's high school and early childhood center. Liberty was at one time part of Port Vue but gained its "liberty" from Port Vue in 1912, thus the origin of the name of the town. Locals tend to refer to the town as "Liberty Borough" or "Liberty Boro," rather than just as "Liberty."

The P&LE Liberty Boro Bridge is a girder bridge across the Youghiogheny River connecting the Pittsburgh industrial suburbs of Liberty and McKeesport, Pennsylvania. In 1968, the Pittsburgh & Lake Erie Railroad undertook a major construction project in conjunction with the B&O Railroad to clear tracks from downtown McKeesport. These tracks caused traffic congestion and posed a safety hazard. As a result, both this bridge and the nearby P&LE McKeesport Bridge were created to direct rail traffic to the west bank of the river, which featured a less confusing street grid. While its sister structure is a truss bridge that crosses the river parallel to a highway bridge, the Liberty Boro Bridge appears relatively utilitarian and crosses the river at a nearly diagonal angle. The structure currently serves the Pittsburgh-to-Cumberland, Maryland CSX Keystone Subdivision.

South Allegheny Middle/High School is part of the South Allegheny School District located in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. The building houses both middle school students (grades 7 and 8) and high school students (grades 9 through 12). The school serves students from Glassport, Port Vue, Liberty, Lincoln, and parts of Elizabeth. The school provides all of its students with curriculum aligned to Pennsylvania standards, as well as the opportunity to attend Steel Center Vocational Technical School.

The Fifteenth Street Bridge is a girder bridge across the Youghiogheny River connecting the Pittsburgh industrial suburbs of Port Vue and McKeesport, Pennsylvania. The 1995 structure replaced a 1906 truss bridge. The bridge's length is significantly longer than that of several surrounding structures because its crosses both the river and a large water treatment facility. The Youghiogheny River Trail, a portion of the Cumberland, Maryland-to-Pittsburgh Great Allegheny Passage uses the bridge's pedestrian lanes. Through McKeesport, the trail features a designated right of way, while it is officially signed through city streets in Port Vue. As of 2005, the bridge officially became known as the Senator Albert V. “Bud” Belan Bridge after Governor Ed Rendell signed Senate Bill 406. The renaming was in honor of Sen. Belan’s efforts to restore the bridge.

The Carnegie Free Library in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, is a Public Library built with funds from Pittsburgh steel magnate Andrew Carnegie. McKeesport is located about 15 miles up the Monongahela River from Pittsburgh. The grant for this library was commissioned April 2, 1899. Out of approximately 1,688 libraries funded by Carnegie in America, McKeesport's was the 12th be commissioned. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

The Boston Bridge is a structure that crosses the Youghiogheny River between Versailles and Elizabeth Township, Pennsylvania. Its name is derived from the Massachusetts city only indirectly: the bridge is named for the Boston neighborhood of Elizabeth Township, which in turn was named for the New England city. The bridge, which opened on October 13, 1932, carries Pennsylvania Route 48 on two relatively narrow lanes. Many of its features were carefully preserved during a 1989 rehabilitation, down to its original pedestrian railings. Designed entirely for vehicular traffic, the structure changed the future of Elizabeth Township; the lack of streetcar tracks led to the abandonment of a line that served the then-rural community's small industrial settlements, while the newfound ease of access for motorists to the area's manufacturing regions opened up the township to suburbanization.

The Union Railroad Clairton Bridge, commonly known as the Clairton Coke Works Bridge, is a truss bridge that formerly carried traffic between Clairton, Pennsylvania and Lincoln, Pennsylvania for the Pennsylvania Union Railroad which is owned and operated by Transtar, Inc., a subsidiary of the United States Steel Corporation. The structure, which featured a single track, has been out of service since the 1970s; rail traffic was rerouted to the US Steel Clairton Works as the steel industry began to decline. The bridge is currently slated to become part of the Montour Trail, one of many current Pittsburgh-area bike trails projects.

First Methodist Episcopal Church of McKeesport, known since 1968 as the First United Methodist Church, is a historic church in McKeesport, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. The Late Gothic Revival style church has been in use for religious services and community events since its dedication. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2014.
