Brunswick High School (BHS) is an American public high school located in Brunswick, Frederick County, Maryland, United States. The school serves the communities of Brunswick, Burkittsville, Jefferson, Knoxville, Point of Rocks, and Rosemont. There have been plans to demolish the current building and to build a new high school nearby.

The Brunswick Historic District includes the historic center of the railroad town of Brunswick, Maryland. The district includes the 18th century former town of Berlin, the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad yards along the Potomac River, and the town built between 1890 and 1910 to serve the railroad.Brunswick Historic District was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

Brunswick is a passenger rail station on the MARC Brunswick Line between Washington, D.C., and Martinsburg, West Virginia. The station house, located at 100 South Maple Street in Brunswick, Maryland, is a former Baltimore and Ohio Railroad depot that is a contributing property to the Brunswick Historic District, which has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since August 29, 1979. The station was designed by Ephraim Francis Baldwin and opened in 1891 on Seventh Avenue. Several years later the building was moved to its current location. It is a wooden frame building with stone walls up to the window sills, and features Palladian windows in the roof dormers.Amtrak's former Blue Ridge previously served the station and eventually dropped the stop from its timetables. The Brunswick station was the final station in the CSX System to eliminate human ticket agents. Barb Eichelberger, the last employee of her kind in the entire system, retired in June 2010.

Petersville is an unincorporated community in Frederick County, Maryland, United States. Petersville is located at the junction of Maryland routes 79 and 180, 1.3 miles (2.1 km) northeast of Rosemont.

Catoctin Creek is a 27.9-mile-long (44.9 km) tributary of the Potomac River in Frederick County, Maryland, USA. Its source is formed north of Myersville. In Myersville, it merges with the Little Catoctin Creek at Doub's Meadow Park. From there, it flows directly south through Middletown, and the southern Middletown Valley for the entire length of the stream collecting several smaller tributaries. It makes a crossing with the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal at the Catoctin Aqueduct, one of just 11 of these structures to survive. Catoctin Creek enters the Potomac River east of Brunswick.

Lander is an unincorporated community in Frederick County, Maryland, United States. Lock 29 on the C&O Canal is located in Lander.

The raid on Catoctin Station was executed against a train passing through the Catoctin Station on the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad on June 17, 1863 by Confederate cavalry forces, during the movement north into Maryland by Gen. Robert E. Lee early in the Gettysburg Campaign. Union Army forces further west, in the city of Winchester, Virginia, had just been routed by Lt.Gen. Ewell's Second Corps on June 15 during the Second Battle of Winchester and federal troops were evacuating east to Harpers Ferry, West Virginia in a state of disarray. Rumors of an invasion by Lee created panic in the region, and no more trains departed Baltimore except for the mail train to Harpers Ferry that provided supplies to the Union forces in Frederick County, Maryland.

Lovettsville Historic District is a national historic district located at Lovettsville, Loudoun County, Virginia. It contains 174 contributing buildings, 5 contributing sites, and 2 contributing structures in a primarily residential section of Lovettsville. Most contributing resources consist of residences and associated outbuildings dating from the early-19th to early-20th centuries. They are vernacular interpretations of a variety of popular architectural styles including Federal, Queen Anne, Italianate, Romanesque, and Bungalow. Notable resources include the Lovettsville Union Cemetery, First German Reformed Church site and cemetery, New Jerusalem Lutheran Church (1869, 1903) and cemetery, Union Cemetery, African-American Methodist Episcopal Church (c. 1870) and cemetery, Presbyterian cemetery, Lovettsville Masonic Lodge (1869, 1923), former Grubbs Store (c. 1870), former Red Men's Lodge (1923), and Willard Hall (c. 1820).It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2012.

Lovettsville is a town in Loudoun County, located near the very northern tip of the Commonwealth of Virginia, United States. Settled primarily by German immigrants, the town was originally established in 1836. The population was 1,613 at the 2010 census and an estimated 2,198 in 2019.
