Hollinsend tram stop

The Gleadless War Memorial is a Grade-II listed war memorial located on Hollinsend Road at Gleadless, Sheffield. The statue, which depicts a life size sandstone British soldier dressed in a First World War uniform, was put in place during the 1920s.

Intake is a suburb and former village located 5 miles (8 km) south-east of Sheffield city centre, South Yorkshire, England. Due to expansion during the 20th century, the village became a part of the city of Sheffield. Intake is linked to Frecheville via Birley Moor Road, and to Gleadless via Hollinsend Road.

Gleadless Townend is a tram stop on the South Yorkshire Supertram network, opened on 5 December 1994. It is located on Ridgeway Road, in Gleadless, north of the White Lane road junction. This stop used to be the terminus of the line before it was extended further to Halfway and Herdings Park in 1995.

Gleadless is a suburb and parish within the City of Sheffield, it lies five km (three miles) south east of the city centre. It is bordered by the adjoining suburbs of Gleadless Valley (in whose ward the population falls) to the west, Frecheville to the east and Intake to the north. The land to the south is the rural area of North East Derbyshire district which is outside the city boundary. Gleadless was formerly a country hamlet, then village before becoming part of the expanding city of Sheffield in 1921. The word Gleadless comes from the Old English language and means either "forest clearings haunted by a kite" (gleoda) or "bright clearing" (glaed).

Gleadless Townend is an outer city district of Sheffield centred on the junction of the ring road, White Lane (B6054) and Gleadless Road (B6388).

Manor Top is a tram stop on the South Yorkshire Supertram network, opened on 5 December 1994. It is located on Ridgeway Road, in Manor, near a small bus interchange with the same name. It is near Manor Top Medical Centre and Manor Library.

Intake Cemetery is one of the city of Sheffield's many cemeteries. The cemetery, located at Intake, covers 12 acres (4.9 ha), with the first interment taking place on 16 February 1880. The cemetery features a Grade II listed chapel which was designed by Innocent and Brown.The cemetery features a number of Commonwealth War Graves, including 21 casualties of the Second World War and 4 casualties from the First World War.The cemetery took its name from the earlier City Road Cemetery which was originally known as Intake Road Cemetery.

Sheffield Springs Academy is an 11-16 secondary school serving the Park, Manor and Castle wards of Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England. The academy is part of United Learning, a national group of schools whose motto is "the best in everyone". It opened in September 2006 on the site of the predecessor school, moving into a £30 million, purpose-built facility in 2008. Over the past three years, the academy has emerged from an Ofsted category. The most recent Ofsted inspection judged the school as a good provider and agreed that the school has benefited directly from a secure, highly experienced senior leadership team alongside the support of United Learning. The Herdings is a grade-II listed building located in Herdings, Gleadless Valley, Sheffield, England. Although the current structure dates back to 1675, the original Herdings farm building was recorded as being present as early as the 13th-century.
