Nilma, Victoria

Nilma is a closed station on the Orbost railway line in the town of the same name in Victoria, Australia. It was originally named Bloomfield but was changed to Nilma in 1909, due to confusion with Broomfield railway station near Creswick, on the Ballarat to Daylesford railway line. Nilma station was closed in 1951.

The Warragul Show is an agricultural show that has been held annually on the first weekend of March since 1885 in Warragul, a town in the West Gippsland region of Victoria in Australia. The show takes place at the Warragul showgrounds, located at Logan Park where the greyhound and harness tracks are also situated. The show is run by the Warragul and West Gippsland Agricultural Society. The Warragul Show attracts visitors from many different towns in the West Gippsland area. There are two main elements to the show: The carnival, which traditionally takes place on the first day of the event, and a variety of farming showcases and events, which occurs on the second day of the event. There are also art and craft events, photography, flower arrangement and baking. The COVID-19 pandemic forced the show to go on hiatus since 2021, as was 1915 to 1918 & 1940 to 1945.

Warragul railway station is located on the Gippsland line in Victoria, Australia. It serves the town of Warragul, and it opened on 1 March 1878 as Warrigal. It was renamed Warragul on 1 May 1879.It was the junction station for the branch line to Neerim South and Noojee, which closed in 1958. The line between Pakenham and Warragul was duplicated in various stages between 1952 and 1956, and was electrified in 1954. Two years earlier, in 1952, the line to Yarragon was duplicated, and in 1955, electrification was extended to Moe.Starting from 15 February 1987, and lasting until December 1998, the station was the terminus of a number of The Met/PTC electric passenger services from Flinders Street. The line was de-electrified beyond Warragul on 28 June 1987, and the overhead support structures were removed in 2005/2006, as part of the Regional Fast Rail project. The former "A" siding was abolished in 1988, along with alterations to the points, signals and levers. Also during 1988, the double line block system between Warragul and Yarragon was abolished, with automatic three position signalling introduced. This introduction also resulted in the abolition of signal boxes "A" and "B", both replaced by a signal panel in the station building.The tracks in the former yard are now used as storage for concrete sleepers, old and new signals, and rail machines. Tracks on the northern side of the station were moved slightly, to reduce the radius of curves, and allow trains to travel at higher speed. On 28 April 2006, the signal panel within the station building was abolished.The station itself was upgraded in 2015. It included a new car park and a bus interchange, a new footbridge next to the Alfred Street overpass and a new road underpass at Normanby Place, located at the eastern end of the station.

West Gippsland Hospital is a regional hospital in Warragul, Victoria, first established in 1888 on land donated by a local resident, Mary Sargeant.The current hospital is an 83-bed facility with an additional 60 beds available in the adjoining Cooinda Lodge Nursing Home.

3RPH Warragul (callsign 3RPH/T) is a radio station based in Warragul, Victoria. It is part of the Vision Australia Radio network, a reading and information service for those persons unable to read or easily access information in print. The station is run and operated by volunteers.There is another station in the network with the same 3RPH/T callsign, 3RPH Warrnambool When not broadcasting local programs, the station is a relay of 3RPH in Melbourne.

Warragul is a town in Victoria, Australia, 102 kilometres (63 miles) south-east of Melbourne. Warragul lies between the Strzelecki Ranges to the south and the Mount Baw Baw Plateau of the Great Dividing Range to the north. As of the 2021 census, the town had a population of 19,856 people. Warragul forms part of a larger urban area that includes nearby Drouin that had an estimated total population of 42,827 as of the 2021 census.Warragul is the main population and service centre of the West Gippsland region and the Shire of Baw Baw. The surrounding area is noted for dairy farming and other niche agriculture and has long been producing gourmet foods.

Darnum is a town in West Gippsland, Victoria, Australia, located 110 km east of Melbourne and a short distance to Warragul, in the Shire of Baw Baw. It is nestled between the Great Dividing Range and Strzelecki Ranges. The Moe River meanders through the edge of the township which the historic Darnum Butter Factory overlooks. The town's name comes from a word for "parrot", specifically, Rosella in the local indigenous Boonwurrung language. The post office opened on 1 December 1882 after the arrival of the railway.Darnum was originally a timber producing town and boasts a large stump in memory of the original timber mill's owner Clarrie Weir. Today the principal industry is dairy farming, with Fonterra, previously Bonlac Foods, operating a milk processing plant just north of town. Between 1981 and 2017, Darnum was also home to the Darnum Musical Village. A large and important collection of musical instruments, where concerts and events were held. Visitors could play some of the exhibits as tour guides explain the history of different pieces. The town in conjunction with neighbouring township Nilma has an Australian Rules football team competing in the Ellinbank & District Football League. Mal Michael is a notable player for the team.

Marist-Sion College serves four local parishes: Warragul, Drouin, Trafalgar and Iona/Maryknoll.

Chairo Christian School is a multi-campus co-educational independent non-denominational Christian School with campuses in Drouin, Victoria, Drouin East, Pakenham, Victoria, Leongatha, Victoria, and Traralgon, Victoria. Founded in 1983, Chairo currently caters for over 1,700 students from Prep to Year 12 all across Gippsland, with the largest campus being at Pakenham. Chairo Christian School also has a Kindergarten program that caters for children aged 3-4. According to a statement from its principal, the school teaches both evolution and creationism, though clearly states the school's belief in creationism in such classes.
