Berwick Rugby Football Club is a rugby union team that was founded in 1926, and reformed in 1968. The team is based in the town of Berwick-upon-Tweed, on the English side of the border with Scotland. They are affiliated to both the English Rugby Football Union and the Scottish Rugby Union. They compete in Scottish National League Division Two. Berwick play their home games at Scremerston.

Scremerston is a village in Northumberland, England. The village lies on the North Sea coast just under 2.5 miles (4 km) south of Berwick-upon-Tweed and 4.3 miles (7 km) from the Anglo-Scottish border. It is adjacent to the A1, providing access to Newcastle upon Tyne to the south, and to Edinburgh to the north. Scremerston encompasses a number of satellite settlements scattered between the A1 and the coastline at Cocklawburn Beach. These include Borwell, Heatherytops, Inlandpasture, Redhouse, Scremerston Town Farm and Seahouse. Surviving miners' cottages include Restoration Cottages, Deputy Row and Derwentwater Terrace. Scremerston Hill farm and cottages lie 1 mile (1.6 km) to the south, but have been largely cut off from the village by the busy A1 road.

Spittal is a village in northern Northumberland, England. It is part of Berwick-upon-Tweed and is situated on the coast to the east of Tweedmouth. Spittal Beach is considered one of the best beaches in Northumberland. The name derives from a shortened form of "hospital"; a hospital, dedicated to St Bartholomew, was built here in the Middle Ages to take care of lepers. St John's, the parish church, was built in 1867 in the Early English style, its tower being added in 1894. Prior to this, "Spittlers" had worshipped in a stable loft. There is also a nonconformist church, St Paul's, built in 1878. The village has several hotels and guest houses providing bed and breakfast, a village shop as well as a microbrewery.

Cheswick Buildings is a small village in Northumberland, in England. It is situated on the A1, approximately 10 km (6.2 mi) to the south-east of Berwick-upon-Tweed, a short distance inland from the North Sea coast, and close to Cheswick, Northumberland.

Berwick Academy (formerly Berwick Community High School) is a coeducational upper school and sixth form located in Berwick-upon-Tweed in the English county of Northumberland. on the border with Scotland. Previously a community school administered by Northumberland County Council, Berwick Community High School converted to academy status in November 2011 and was renamed Berwick Academy. However the school continues to coordinate with Northumberland County Council for admissions. Berwick Academy offers GCSEs and BTECs as programmes of study for pupils, while students in the sixth form have the option to study from a range of A-levels. As of 2025, the school's most recent Ofsted inspection was in 2024, with a judgement of 'requires improvement'. The school was rated 'inadequate' in 2018. The Guardian reported the school's ongoing struggle with behaviour, funding and staffing in 2017. The Academy is currently undergoing a transition into being a secondary school under the Berwick Partnership's new two-tier education system and will be rebuilt with updated facilities and grounds on the same site, at a cost of £42.6 million.

Berwick-upon-Tweed Lifeboat Station is located on the south bank of the River Tweed at Tweedmouth, part of the town of Berwick-upon-Tweed, in the county of Northumberland, in England. A lifeboat was first provided by the Royal National Institution for the Preservation of Life from Shipwreck (RNIPLS) in 1835, located at Spittal, and managed by the Berwick Lifeboat Association. The station closed in 1852, when the lifeboat was deemed unfit for service, but was reopened in 1855 by the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI). The station currently operates a B-class (Atlantic 85) Inshore lifeboat Penny J (B-940), on station since 2024, and a smaller D-class (IB1) Inshore lifeboat Glenis Joan Felstead (D-900), on station since 2025.

Our Lady and St Cuthbert Church is a Roman Catholic parish church in Berwick-upon-Tweed, Northumberland, England. It was built in 1829 in the Gothic Revival style, intentionally hidden away from the street. It is located on Ravensdowne to the south of Berwick Barracks in the centre of the town. It is a Grade II listed building.

The Corn Exchange is a commercial building in Sandgate, Berwick-upon-Tweed, Northumberland, England. The structure, which is now used as an apartment block, is a Grade II listed building.

Dewar's Lane is an alley of medieval origin in the centre of Berwick-upon-Tweed. Over the centuries, heavy cart-wheels have cut deep grooves in its setts. Once painted by the artist L. S. Lowry, it fell into an extreme state of dilapidation, overrun with pigeons and seagulls. Berwick Preservation Trust then stepped in and created a plan for the renovation of the lane's major building, Dewar's Lane Granary. The Granary (which is situated on Dewar's Lane) has recently been strapped (as it has a tilt greater than the Leaning Tower Of Pisa) and transformed into a Youth Hostel, Bistro, Major Art Gallery and Public Meeting Rooms. The restored building is not only accessible from street level but also has access from both Berwick's Elizabethan Walls and Historic Quayside. This £5ml renovation will now remove what was considered to be the largest eyesore in the town.
