John Garth House

The Garth Woodside Mansion (also known as the John Garth House, The Woodside, Woodside Place) is an 1871 "Second Empire" Italianate mansion built by Col. John H. Garth. The Garth Mansion is located in Ralls County in Hannibal, Missouri. The Mansion is a wonderful example of this style. John H. Garth played a significant role in the areas lumber, banking and many others in the Hannibal area. Many consider the Garth Mansion one of the finest examples of this style of architecture. The Garth Woodside Mansion is currently a Bed and Breakfast and restaurant. Approx 85-90% of the furnishings on the second floor are the original pieces used to furnish the home when the mansion's construction was completed in 1871.

Grand View Burial Park is a cemetery in Hannibal, Missouri, developed in 1934 as a memorial cemetery. The first burial was on May 11, 1934. Two more burials were performed in May and 19 more during the rest of 1934. During an average year, approximately 225 burials are performed. In 1981 Grand View Funeral Home was opened adjacent to the memorial park. In 2021 the total number of interments in the memorial park exceeded 13,000.

Oakwood is a neighborhood of Hannibal, Missouri, United States. Oakwood was named for a grove of oak trees near the original site. The community contains Oakwood Elementary School.

Rickey Hollow is a valley in Marion County in the U.S. state of Missouri. Rickey Hollow has the name of the local Rickey family.

James B. Brown House, also known as Stonecroft Manor, is a historic home located near Hannibal, Ralls County, Missouri. It was built between 1870 and 1872, and is a two-story, five-bay, rubble limestone I-house with a central passage plan. It features a Greek Revival style front porch and Italianate details. It has a truncated hip roof and the one-story rear ell also has a hipped roof. It was built as a summer home for James Brown a prominent local citizen of Hannibal, Missouri.: 2  It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

Crooked Creek is a stream in Ralls County in the U.S. state of Missouri. It is a tributary of Bear Creek. The stream headwaters arise east of Missouri Route HH at 39°40′00″N 91°28′59″W at an elevation of approximately 735 feet. The stream flows east crossing under Route HH and then turns to the north again passing under Route HH. It continues to the north-northeast to its confluence with Bear Creek less than 500 feet south of the Ralls-Marion county line at 39°41′02″N 91°26′41″W and an elevation of 551 feet. Crooked Creek was so named on account of frequent meanders on its course.

Daultons Branch is a stream in Marion County in the U.S. state of Missouri. Daultons Branch has the name of the local Daulton family.

Mills Creek is a stream in Marion and Ralls Counties in the U.S. state of Missouri. A variant name was "Mill Creek". Mills Creek has the name of Charles Mill, an early settler.

Minnow Branch is a stream in Marion County in the U.S. state of Missouri. It is a tributary of Bear Creek. Minnows in the creek caused the name to be selected.

Hannibal is a city along the Mississippi River in Marion and Ralls counties in the U.S. state of Missouri. According to the 2020 U.S. Census, the population was 17,312, making it the largest city in Marion County. The bulk of the city is in Marion County, with a tiny sliver in the south extending into Ralls County. Nestled on the Mississippi River, commerce and traffic has long been an integral part of Hannibal's development, including by river, rail and the interstate/highway system. Today the city is intersected by Interstate 72 and U.S. Routes 24, 36, and 61. Hannibal is approximately 110 miles (180 km) northwest of St. Louis (also bordering the Mississippi), 195 miles (314 km) east-northeast of Kansas City and 194 miles (312 km) miles east of Saint Joseph (both cities on the Missouri River), and approximately 100 miles (160 km) west of Springfield, Illinois. Hannibal is not the county seat, but it has one of two county courthouses. There is also one in Palmyra, the county seat of Marion County, which is located more centrally in the county. Hannibal is the principal city of the Hannibal, Missouri micropolitan area, which consists of both Marion and Ralls counties.

St. Elizabeth Hospital is a historic hospital complex located at Hannibal, Marion County, Missouri. The complex was built in six stages between 1915 and 1973. The original section was built in 1915, and is a three-story with raised basement, Second Renaissance Revival style rectangular red brick building. It features a Palladian style window, large round arched openings on the 1+1⁄2-story brick portico, and limestone highlights. A sun porch wing was added in 1922 and a chapel wing in 1940.: 5  It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2012.

Mason Township is an inactive township in Marion County, in the U.S. state of Missouri. Mason Township was established in 1827, taking its name from nearby Fort Mason.
