John Hardin High School

WLVK (105.5 FM) is a radio station broadcasting a worship music format, simulcasting WLGK (94.7 FM). WLVK is licensed to serve the community of Fort Knox, Kentucky, United States. The station is owned by W & B Broadcasting Co., Inc., and is programmed by Word Media Group under a local marketing agreement.

Severns Valley Baptist Church is a Baptist church located in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, USA. Founded by a group of eighteen people in June 1781, it was organized in Severns Valley (now Elizabethtown) and is Kentucky's oldest Baptist church. It has hosted events by performers such as Ricky Skaggs, The Crabb Family, pureNRG, and Vicky Courtney.

Helm Place is a white-columned, brick mansion built by John LaRue Helm in the 1830s, about one and a half miles north of the center of Elizabethtown, Kentucky. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.In 1831, John LaRue Helm purchased the old homestead of his grandfather, Captain Thomas Helm, from his uncle Benjamin. The purchase included his father's home several miles outside of Elizabethtown. John then sold his father's home and some 500 acres to Reverend Charles J. Cecil and the Sisters of Loretto, who used the property to create a girls boarding school known as Bethlehem Academy.After that, John began construction of a new home called Helm Place on the site of Helm Station, a wooden stockade fort. Helm Station was one of three forts built by Thomas Helm in 1780s in the form of a triangle, each spaced one mile apart, to protect against Indian raids. The settlers built their homes in between the three forts, forming a small community that developed into Elizabethtown in the 1790s.

Rineyville is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Hardin County, Kentucky, United States. It is located 7 miles (11 km) northwest of Elizabethtown. The population was 3,039 as of the 2020 Census. The Paducah and Louisville Railway runs north and south through the community. There is no formal city government; a Magistrate, elected to the Hardin County Fiscal Court, represents the unincorporated community. The primary law enforcement agency for Rineyville is the Kentucky State Police – Post 4 in Elizabethtown. The Rineyville Fire Department, created in 1979, consists of over 30 volunteers from the community. Some neighboring communities include Vine Grove to the north, Radcliff to the northeast, and Cecilia to the south. Rineyville is named for past resident Zachariah Riney, the first school teacher of young Abraham Lincoln.

The population was 28,531 at the 2010 census, and was estimated at 31,394 by the U.S. Census Bureau in 2020, making it the 11th-largest city in the state. It is included in (and the principal city of) the Elizabethtown–Fort Knox, Kentucky Metropolitan Statistical Area, which is included in the Louisville/Jefferson County–Elizabethtown–Madison, Kentucky-Indiana Combined Statistical Area. The Elizabethtown Metropolitan area had a 2019 estimated population of 153,057, making it the 5th-largest metropolitan area in the state.

Elizabethtown Community and Technical College (ECTC) is a public community college in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. It is part of the Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS).

Elizabethtown High School is located in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, United States. A part of Elizabethtown Independent Schools (EIS), it is commonly referred to as E'Town High School or EHS. Elizabethtown High School ranked #7 in the state on the 2009 spring exam. The school has a population of 775 students and employs about 50 teachers. Ben Monnett has been the principal since July 1, 2023. Through the 2019–20 school year, it served high school students in West Point, and therefore was a feeder high school of the West Point Independent School District, which only covered grades K–8. This arrangement ended on July 1, 2020, when the West Point district merged into Hardin County Schools (HCS). West Point students already enrolled at EHS will be allowed to continue their education there; future West Point high school students will attend North Hardin High School.

The J. Roy Bond House, at 317 College St. in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, is a historic Craftsman-style house built in 1914. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.It is a two-story frame and stucco house with a jerkinhead-roofed one-story front porch. It was designed by Louisville, Kentucky architect W. Earl Gore and was built by real estate developer J. Roy Bond. It was deemed "significant as the finest example of the Craftsman style in Elizabethtown. The house displays typical Craftsman detailing on the exterior such as exposed half-timbering and the use of stucco, stone and frame siding. The interior is also notable with exposed beams, Craftsman style light fixtures, window seats and decorative brick fireplaces."

The Benjamin Helm House is a two-story brick house in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, that was built in 1816 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1988. It is significant as the home of Benjamin Helm, an early settler of Elizabethtown. He made the first survey of the town and later became a wealthy local businessman, dying in 1858. He was the uncle of Governor John L. Helm, and great uncle of Confederate general Benjamin Hardin Helm.The house was originally built in the Federal style. Two wings were removed and several additions added such that the house itself is no longer architecturally significant.

The Elizabethtown Armory, at 205 Warfield St. in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, was built in 1948 for the Kentucky National Guard. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.It is a two-story yellow brick Modern Movement-style building with a two-story five-bay central block and one-story wings.It was deemed significant "because of its association with the National Guard in Elizabethtown, and for its use as a community center for the citizens of the city. Besides its military duties, the armory has served as a community center for Elizabethtown. The Guard used to hold an annual bean soup dinner at the armory, and wrestling matches, basketball games, trade shows, and wedding receptions all take place in the armory drill hall."

The William Bush House, at 1927 Tunnel Hill Rd. in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, is a historic house built in 1817. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.It is a two-story Federal style house built in stages. In 1817 a brick three-bay two-story central passage plan house was built. During the 1820s and 1830s lateral additions resulted in a seven-bay two-story house, with the additions including matching brick corbelling at the cornice and other matching details. A porch with Doric columns was added c.1910.It was deemed "a notable example of an early 19th century brick residence" and is one of the oldest homes in the city limits of Elizabethtown. It is also notable for ties to early settler William Bush. William Bush was the son of Christopher Bush, an early settler who moved to Hardin County in the 1780s. William Bush amassed a large farm in the early 1800s and in 1817 he had the original three bay brick section of this home constructed which is one of the oldest within the city limits of Elizabethtown. Bush's sister, Sara Bush Johnston, married Thomas Lincoln in 1819 and became Abraham Lincoln's stepmother. The house is noteworthy for its unusual lateral addition plan of the early 19th century. The house was enlarged in the 1820s and 1830s by the construction of matching two-story brick additions. These additions were carefully constructed with corbelled brick at the cornice and windows and door openings to match those on the original structure. This type of lateral addition is unusual in the county with most additions of this period occurring at the rear of structures. Since the early 1800s modern additions have been confined to the rear of the house and it displays its original 19th century character.

The Embry Chapel Church, at 117 Mulberry St. in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, was built in 1868 to serve the Second Presbyterian Church, and was sold in 1891 to an African Methodist Episcopal congregation which had formed in 1865. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.It is a one-story brick church built with Romanesque Revival style. It has a square bell tower rising from the center of its front facade, with the original arched entrance and brick corbels. Stained glass windows are recessed in brick bays separated by pilasters. There is a c.1970 one-story frame addition at the rear.
