Bogyoke Aung San Park (Burmese: ဗိုလ်ချုပ်အောင်ဆန်းပန်းခြံ), commonly known as Bogyoke Park, is a prominent public park located in Yangon, Myanmar. Situated on the north shore of the Kandawgyi Lake and near the iconic Shwedagon and Maha Wizaya Pagodas, it serves as a recreational space in the city. The park is named in honor of Bogyoke Aung San, the national hero and father of modern-day Myanmar. The park is immediately west of the Yangon Zoological Gardens.

The People's Square and Park (Burmese: ပြည်သူ့ရင်ပြင်နှင့် ပြည်သူ့ဥယျာဉ်) is one of the major parks surrounding the Shwedagon Pagoda in Yangon, Myanmar. Located west of the great pagoda to the former Pyithu Hluttaw (People's Parliament) complex, the 135.72 acre (54.92-hectare) park is bounded by Pyay Road to its west, U Wisara Road to its east, Dhammazedi Road to its north and Ahlone Road to its south.The area had been part of the palace grounds of Queen Shin Sawbu and later a golf course for some years during the colonial days. A little over half of the complex is the 70.3-acre (284,000 m2) People's Square. A flower- and tree-lined marble esplanade starting from Pyithu Hluttaw towards the Shwedagon Pagoda is the center piece of the square. Over a thousand trees and plants from 52 species make up the square. Pyidaungsu Ayeyeik Nyein occupies a corner of the Square and holds a permanent exhibition of dioramas of various Burmese ethnic groups, specimens of valuable timber and gemstones from various parts of the country.People's Park occupies 65.42 acres (264,700 m2) adjacent to the square in the north. Over 3,000 plants including 72 species of trees, 12 species of bamboo and 50 species of shrubs and climbers indigenous to various parts of the country are planted in this park. botanical maze, flower displays, fruit trees and medicinal herbs account for an additional 17,000 flowering plants.

The Gymkhana Ground was a cricket ground in Rangoon, Burma (today Yangon, Myanmar), where a first-class cricket match took place between the touring Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) and Rangoon Gymkhana. The first recorded match held on the ground was in December 1912, when Rangoon Gymkhana played the Europeans. Two further matches were held in that month, with Upper Burma playing the Europeans, and Burma playing the Europeans.The next recorded match on the ground came in 1927 when Rangoon Gymkhana played its only first-class match against the MCC. It is also the only first-class match played by a Burmese domestic team. The two-day match ended in a draw.Cricket in Burma (which was at the time administered as part of the British Raj) was a mainly British affair. The Rangoon Gymkhana was frequented exclusively by British officials, which was reflected by the make up of the Gymkhana team against the Marylebone Cricket Club. With Burmese independence in 1948, cricket became largely extinct in the country. The ground along with the Gymkhana Club itself was located along the Halpin Road, today renamed Pyidaungzu Yeiktha Street, and was adjacent to the Prome Road, today renamed Pyay Road.

U Wisara Monument is a statue of U Wisara in Yangon, Burma. It is located directly west of the northwest corner of Kandawmingala Lake on U Wisara Road, and is located several metres southwest of the Shwedagon Pagoda. The statue was erected on August 1, 1943.

The Thai Ambassador in Yangon is the official representative of the Government in Bangkok to the Government of Myanmar.

Government House, Rangoon (Burmese: ဘုရင်ခံအိမ်တော်) was the official residence (Government House) of the colonial governors of Burma. The building complex, located in north Rangoon, west of Shwedagon Pagoda at the corner of Prome and Ahlone Roads, was designed by British architect Hoyne Fox and built in between 1892 and 1895, at a cost of 717,000 rupees on a plot of 90 acres (36 ha). The building was built in the Queen Anne Revival style.The formal handover of power from colonial authorities to the newly formed government of Burma was commemorated at the lawn of the Government House on 4 January 1948. In the following years, it served as the de facto residence for Burmese presidents, including Sao Shwe Thaik, Ba Oo, and Mahn Win Maung.The building was demolished in 1985 on the orders of Ne Win following earthquake damage in the 1970s. A complex housing the national level People's Assembly was built on the former site of the Government House; it is now home to the Yangon Region Hluttaw.

The ambassador of Malaysia to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar is the head of Malaysia's diplomatic mission to Myanmar. The position has the rank and status of an ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary and is based in the Embassy of Malaysia, Yangon.

The National Museum of Myanmar (Yangon), (Burmese: အမျိုးသား ပြတိုက်), located in Dagon, Yangon, is the major one of the two national museums for Burmese art, history and culture in Myanmar. Founded in 1952, the five-storey museum has an extensive collection of ancient artifacts, ornaments, work of art, inscriptions and historic memorabilia, related to history, culture and civilization of Burmese people. The main attraction of the museum is the only surviving original Lion Throne of the Burmese monarchs. There are more than 4000 permanent objects in the museum. Public museums in Myanmar are administered by the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture and can be classified as national museums, archaeological museums, regional cultural museums, and memorial museums. Furthermore, other kinds of museum are appearing under other ministries, like the Defense Services Museum in the capital Naypyidaw, or in the private sector. The museum is open from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm, except on Mondays and public holidays.

Siṅguttara Hill (Burmese: သိင်္ဂုတ္တရကုန်းတော် [θèɪɰ̃ɡoʊʔtəɹa̰ ɡóʊɰ̃dɔ̀]; also spelt "Theingottara Hill") is a small hill in Yangon, Myanmar (formerly Burma), crowned by the Shwedagon Pagoda, the most famous pagoda in the country.

The Tharrawaddy Min Bell (Burmese: သာယာဝတီမင်း ခေါင်းလောင်းတော်), also known as the Maha Tissada Gandha Bell, is a large bell located at the Shwedagon Pagoda in Yangon, Myanmar (Burma). It was donated in 1841 by King Tharrawaddy, of Konbaung Dynasty. The official Pali name of the bell is Maha Tissada Gandha, which means "Great Three-toned Sweet Sound".

The Singu Min Bell (Burmese: စဉ့်ကူးမင်း ခေါင်းလောင်းတော်), also known as the Maha Gandha Bell, is a large bell located at the Shwedagon Pagoda in Yangon, Myanmar (Burma). It was donated in 1779 by King Singu, the fourth king of Konbaung Dynasty. The official Pali name of the bell is Maha Gandha, which means "Great Sound".

The Shwedagon Pagoda (Burmese: ရွှေတိဂုံဘုရား; MLCTS: hrwe ti. gum bhu. ra:, IPA: [ʃwèdəɡòʊɰ̃ pʰəjá]); Mon: ကျာ်ဒဂုၚ်; officially named Shwedagon Zedi Daw (Burmese: ရွှေတိဂုံစေတီတော်, [ʃwèdəɡòʊɰ̃ zèdìdɔ̀], lit. 'Golden Dagon Pagoda') and also known as the Great Dagon Pagoda and the Golden Pagoda is a gilded stupa located in Yangon, Myanmar. The Shwedagon is the most sacred Buddhist pagoda in Myanmar, as it is believed to contain relics of the four previous Buddhas of the present kalpa. These relics include the staff of Kakusandha, the water filter of Koṇāgamana, a piece of the robe of Kassapa, and eight strands of hair from the head of Gautama.Built on the 51-metre (167 ft) high Singuttara Hill, the 112 m (367 ft) tall pagoda stands 170 m (560 ft) above sea level, and dominates the Yangon skyline. Yangon's zoning regulations, which cap the maximum height of buildings to 127 metres (417 feet) above sea level (75% of the pagoda's sea level height), ensure the Shwedagon's prominence in the city's skyline.
