Fairfax (CDP), Vermont

The Maple Street Covered Bridge, also called the Lower Covered Bridge and the Fairfax Covered Bridge, is a covered bridge that carries Maple Street across Mill Brook off State Route 104 in Fairfax, Vermont. Built in 1865, it is the town's only historic covered bridge, and is a rare two-lane covered bridge in the state. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.

The Browns River is an approximately 20-mile (32 km) waterway in northern Vermont. It is a tributary of the Lamoille River. The mouth of the river is in Fairfax (at 44°39′36″N 73°01′08″W). The source of the river is on the western slopes of Mount Mansfield in Underhill (at 44°32′03″N 72°49′54″W). The river flows west from Mount Mansfield, through Underhill State Park to the town of Jericho. Continuing west, it enters the town of Essex and turns north near the village of Essex Center. It passes through the town of Westford and reaches its mouth in the southwestern corner of the town of Fairfax, where it empties into the Lamoille River.

The Franklin-1 Representative District is a two-member state Representative district in the U.S. state of Vermont. It is one of the 108 one or two member districts into which the state was divided by the redistricting and reapportionment plan developed by the Vermont General Assembly following the 2000 U.S. Census. The plan applies to legislatures elected in 2002, 2004, 2006, 2008, and 2010. A new plan will be developed in 2012 following the 2010 U.S. Census. The Franklin-1 District includes all of the Franklin County towns of Fairfax and Georgia. As of the 2000 census, the state as a whole had a population of 608,827. As there are a total of 150 representatives, there were 4,059 residents per representative (or 8,118 residents per two representatives). The two member Franklin-1 District had a population of 8,140 in that same census, 0.27% above the state average.

The Barn is a recording studio, rehearsal space, and artists studio located on the property of Phish guitarist Trey Anastasio in the Green Mountains near Burlington, Vermont. Reconstructed between 1996 and 1998 from an existing structure, the Alan Irish Barn, The Barn has been used by Phish to record several albums and has hosted all of Anastasio's projects since 1998. In addition, several other artists have recorded or performed at The Barn, including Béla Fleck, John Patitucci, DJ Logic, Toots & the Maytals, Tony Levin, Umphrey's McGee, The Slip, John Medeski, Swampadelica, Jerry Douglas, Patti LaBelle, Leo Kottke, Jim Carrey, Addison Groove Project, and Touchpants. In addition to its use as Phish's primary rehearsal and recording space, The Barn also serves as the home to the Seven Below Arts Initiative, a non-profit organization formed to advance arts education in Vermont. Following Anastasio's sold-out benefit shows at Webster Hall in New York City, The Barn was modified from a commercial recording facility into an artistic studio, providing housing and studio space to artists participating in the Seven Below residency program. Seven Below has been working with Burlington City Arts to facilitate arts education activities to under-served populations since 2007. Phish has used the Barn to record all of their studio albums since Farmhouse with the exception of Joy (2009). The band recorded the entirety of their 2020 release Sigma Oasis at the studio.

The Browns River Covered Bridge, also called the Westford Covered Bridge, is a covered bridge that crosses Browns River off State Route 128 in Westford, Vermont. The bridge is of Burr arch design by an unknown builder.

Westford is the primary village and a census-designated place (CDP) in the town of Westford, Chittenden County, Vermont, United States. It was first listed as a CDP prior to the 2020 census. The CDP is in northern Chittenden County, in the center of the town of Westford. The Browns River, a north-flowing tributary of the Lamoille River and part of the Lake Champlain watershed, passes through the CDP just east of the village center. Vermont Route 128 runs through Westford village, leading north 4 miles (6 km) to Fairfax and south 8 miles (13 km) to Essex Center.

The Chittenden-6-1 District includes the parts of the Chittenden County town of Essex not included in Chittenden-6-2 or 6-3. As of the 2000 census, the state as a whole had a population of 608,827. As there are a total of 150 representatives, there were 4,059 residents per representative (or 8,118 residents per two representatives). The two member Chittenden-6-1 District had a population of 7,985 in that same census, 1.64% below the state average.

The Kemp-Shepard House is a historic house on Highbridge Road (Vermont Route 104A) in Georgia, Vermont. The main block of the brick house, built about 1830, is an important early work of a regional master builder, and it is attached to an older wood-frame ell. It was built on land that was among the first to be settled in the eastern part of the town. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.

The Fletcher Union Church, also known as the Fletcher Community House, is a historic former church building on TH 1 (Cambridge Road) in Fletcher, Vermont. Built in 1871, it is one of only a few public buildings in the small community, and has for over a century been a secular community meeting space. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

It is one of the 108 one or two member districts into which the state was divided by the redistricting and reapportionment plan developed by the Vermont General Assembly following the 2000 U.S. Census. The plan applies to legislatures elected in 2002, 2004, 2006, 2008, and 2010. A new plan will be developed in 2012 following the 2010 U.S. Census. The Chittenden-6-3 District includes all of the Chittenden County town of Westford and part of the town of Essex defined as follows: that portion of the Town of Essex bounded by the centerline of the road from Curve Hill at the Colchester Town line, then to Lost Nation Road, then northerly on Old Stage Road to Towers Road, then continuing easterly to Brown's River Road to Weed Road, then easterly on Jericho Road to the Jericho town line. The rest of Essex is in Chittenden-6-1 and Chittenden-6-2. As of the 2000 census, the state as a whole had a population of 608,827. As there are a total of 150 representatives, there were 4,059 residents per representative (or 8,118 residents per two representatives). The one member Chittenden-6-2 District had a population of 4,264 in that same census, 5.05% above the state average.
