Plewiska [plɛˈviska] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Komorniki, within Poznań County, Greater Poland Voivodeship, in west-central Poland. It lies approximately 14 kilometres (9 mi) north-east of Komorniki and 9 km (6 mi) south-west of central Poznań. Poznań's city boundary runs between the village and a neighbourhood – also called Plewiska – in the Grunwald district of the city. The village has a population of 5,867. At Plewiska, there is an important 400 kV/220 kV/110 kV electrical substation.

Skórzewo [skuˈʐɛvɔ] (German: Hasenheide) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Dopiewo, within Poznań County, Greater Poland Voivodeship, in west-central Poland. It lies approximately 9 kilometres (6 mi) east of Dopiewo and 9 km (6 mi) west of central Poznań. The name Skórzewo is shared with a neighbourhood of Poznań, adjoining the village across the city boundary. The village has a population of 6,635.

Ławica, formerly a village, is an official neighbourhood and administrative area within Grunwald, in the city of Poznań, Greater Poland.

Stalag XXI-D was a German World War II prisoner-of-war camp based in Poznań in German-occupied Poland, operated in 1940–1945.

The Stadion Poznań (English: Poznań Stadium), also called the Municipal Stadium in Poznań (Polish: Stadion Miejski w Poznaniu, pronounced [ˈstadjɔn ˈmjɛjskʲi]) and the Bulgarian Street Stadium (Polish: Stadion przy ul.Bułgarskiej) after the road it is situated on, is an association football stadium in the Grunwald district of Poznań, Poland. It has a capacity of 43,269 (all seated). The stadium was originally built between 1968 and 1980. From its inauguration in August 1980, Lech Poznań has used the ground as its main venue. It has also been used sporadically by Warta Poznań.In the years 2003–2010, the stadium underwent a complete reconstruction, including the building of four new fully covered stands. Currently it is the fifth-largest stadium in Poland (after National Stadium, Silesian Stadium, Stadion Wrocław and Stadion Gdańsk) and third largest in Ekstraklasa (after the latter two). The grand opening after final renovation took place on 20 September 2010, with Sting's Symphonicity Tour concert. From June 2013 to June 2018, the stadium was called INEA Stadion, because of a sponsorship with telecom operator Inea.

Tor Poznań is a 4.083 km (2.537 mi) motorsport race track located in the Ławica area of Poznań, Poland. The circuit has also small 1.509 km (0.938 mi) kart circuit layout. The circuit was resurfaced and renovated in 2006, and it has FIA Grade 3 standards.

Tor Łódź is a motorsport race track located in the Kiełmina, Poland, a suburb of Łódź. It is the first Driving Technique Improvement Center (ODTJ) in the Łódź Voivodeship. It was entered into the ODTJ register by the Łódź Voivode in 2017 under the number 002E.

Komorniki [kɔmɔrˈniki] is a village in Poland, located in Greater Poland Voivodeship, Poznań County, Gmina Komorniki (Poznań metropolitan area), with approximately 5,500 inhabitants. The gmina (municipality) of Komorniki, including the village of Komorniki and 10 other villages, has about 18,325 inhabitants and is an agricultural and industrial region. (See Gmina Komorniki.) The village lies on the A2 Highway and National Road number 5 from Poznań to Wrocław, about 7 kilometres (4 mi) from the city of Poznań. Komorniki adjoins Poznań, Luboń, Plewiska, and the Wielkopolska National Park. The village is famous for its Komorniki Festival of Organ and Chamber Music. The Polish Baroque Orchestra society has its registered office in Komorniki.

Żabikowo (German: Poggenburg) is a formerly independent village and now one of 3 city districts of Luboń, however without an admistrative function.

Fort VII, officially Konzentrationslager Posen (renamed later), was a Nazi German death camp set up in Poznań in German-occupied Poland during World War II, located in one of the 19th-century forts circling the city. According to different estimates, between 4,500 and 20,000 people, mostly Poles from Poznań and the surrounding region, died while imprisoned at the camp.
