Rosslyn is the westernmost station on the shared segment of the Blue, Orange, and Silver lines of the Washington Metro. It is located in the Rosslyn neighborhood of Arlington, Virginia, United States. Rosslyn is the first station in Virginia heading westward from the District on the Orange and Silver Lines and southward on the Blue Lines. It is one of four interchange points on the Metrorail system west of the Potomac River and located in a growing business district. Depending on the year, Rosslyn is the busiest, or one of the busiest stations outside the District of Columbia, along with Pentagon City and Pentagon, which are also in Arlington, and Silver Spring and Shady Grove in Montgomery County, Maryland. Rosslyn is the biggest choke point of the Metro system. Due to this, planners are considering adding another station in the Rosslyn neighborhood, possibly as part of an inner loop through Washington and Arlington.

1812 North Moore is an office building in Arlington, Virginia, developed by Monday Properties. It was topped out in March 2013, surpassing the nearby Rosslyn Twin Towers as the tallest building in the Washington metropolitan area.The building was completed in late 2013. In January 2017 it was announced that Nestle USA will move its headquarters into the building, which had remained vacant until that time. It was the biggest speculative development in the region during the Great Recession.

Their stated mission is "to shape a global, entrepreneurial, competitive citizen sector: one that allows social entrepreneurs to thrive and enables the world's citizens to think and act as changemakers".

The American Ambulance Association (AAA) is a trade association for the EMS industry. The AAA is based in Rosslyn, Virginia and was founded in 1979.The AAA's website states that its mission is "to promote health care policies that ensure excellence in the ambulance services industry and provide research, education and communications programs to enable its members to effectively address the needs of the communities they serve." As part of this mission, the AAA manages the "Stars of Life" program, an annual awards program that recognizes "ambulance professionals who have gone above and beyond the call of duty in service to their communities or the EMS profession."In 2015, the AAA issued its first recommendations for diversity and intercultural communication, noting that the primarily white, male, English-speaking EMS workforce underserved some population sectors.The AAA holds an annual conference and awards dinner, where it gives annual awards such as the Patient and Employee Safety award to ambulance companies. Another award is the Star of Life award. In March 2017, an ambulance was hit by a Jeep Cherokee in Mississippi, nearly killing a paramedic. Paramedic Jimmy Miller was awarded the AAA Star of Life award for outstanding service after surviving the wreck, which should have killed him.

The Art Institute of Washington was a for-profit college in Arlington, Virginia. It opened in 2000 and was a branch of The Art Institute of Atlanta. It was accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). It closed in December 2018.

Rosslyn is a heavily urbanized unincorporated area in Northern Virginia located in the northeastern corner of Arlington County, Virginia, north of Arlington National Cemetery and directly across the Potomac River from Georgetown and Foggy Bottom in Washington, D.C. Rosslyn encompasses the Arlington neighborhoods of North Rosslyn and Radnor/Ft. Myer Heights, and is located east of Court House, another urbanized Arlington neighborhood. Characterized as one of several "urban villages" by the county, the numerous skyscrapers in the dense business section of Rosslyn make its appearance in some ways more urban than nearby Washington. Rosslyn residents have an average household income of $105,000 and 81% are college graduates.Notable establishments in the neighborhood include Sinclair Broadcast Group-owned ABC affiliate WJLA located in the Rosslyn Twin Towers, and Marriott International's longest operating hotel, the Key Bridge Marriott. Notable structures include the United States Marine Corps War Memorial, and the Netherlands Carillon and Freedom Park offer views of the Washington Monument and other Washington landmarks.

Artisphere was an arts center located in the Rosslyn section of Arlington, Virginia. The center encompassed four performance venues, three visual art galleries, an artist in residence studio, a 4,000 square foot ballroom, studio space, social gathering spots, food service facilities, a bar and lounge area as well as outdoor terraces. Programming includes visual art, theatre, live music, film, new media, family programs, dance, conferences and private events. The Artisphere campus included the main building at 1101 Wilson Boulevard and the nearby Spectrum Theatre at 1611 N. Kent Street. The main building is recognizable for a large dome shaped architectural feature. The Spectrum Theatre is situated on the ground floor of the mixed use Rosslyn Plaza complex.

Freedom Park is a two block long elevated linear park in the Rosslyn section of Arlington, Virginia. It was built on an elevated concrete structure originally constructed for use as an automobile overpass, and as such, rises above and over the surrounding streets. The park was founded in 1996 as a joint-venture with the Newseum and Freedom Forum Journalists Memorial, both operated by the Freedom Forum, and was dedicated to the spirit of freedom and the struggle to preserve it. In 2008 the Newseum moved to a new location in the District of Columbia, upon which time a property developer took over operations of the park, and most of the original exhibits were removed.Today the park is used primarily by residents and workers of Rosslyn as a quiet escape from the busy city below.

Trout Unlimited (TU) is a US non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation of freshwater streams, rivers, and associated upland habitats for trout, salmon, other aquatic species, and people. It is headquartered in Arlington, Virginia. The organization began in 1959 in Michigan. It has since spread throughout the United States and has local chapters in nearly every State in the United States.

The Manufactured Housing Institute (MHI) is a U.S. trade organization representing companies and organizations that are involved in the production, sale and financing of manufactured housing, prefabricated home and modular home units. The MHI hosts trade conferences, coordinates lobbying before the United States Congress and state legislatures on issues relating to manufactured housing, compiles and publishes data relating to industry sales and provides marketing and public relations support to raise the awareness of manufactured housing.The organization was created in 1975 and is headquartered in Arlington, Virginia. It maintains statewide chapters across the country.

The Rosslyn Twin Towers are twin office buildings located at 1000 and 1100 Wilson Boulevard in the Rosslyn neighborhood of Arlington, Virginia. They were the tallest buildings in the Washington metropolitan area for three decades until the completion of 1812 N Moore, a block away, in 2013. They remain the tallest twin towers in the region and the commonwealth of Virginia. The buildings are home to the headquarters of Politico and WJLA-TV, and were formerly home to the headquarters of Gannett Company/USA Today.The towers are part of a complex that features retail, and televisions and news tickers visible from the nearby intersection. Arlington County approved construction of rooftop decks for each tower in 2015. The project was completed in 2018.
