Pasig, officially known as the City of Pasig (Tagalog: Lungsod ng Pasig), is a 1st class highly urbanized city in the National Capital Region of the Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 803,159 people. It is located along the eastern border of Metro Manila with Rizal province, the city shares its name with the Pasig River. A formerly rural settlement, Pasig is primarily residential and industrial, but has been becoming increasingly commercial in recent years, particularly after the construction of the Ortigas Center business district in its west. The city is home to the Roman Catholic Diocese of Pasig, based in Pasig Cathedral, a landmark built around the same time as the town's foundation in 1573.Pasig was formerly part of Rizal province before the formation of Metro Manila, the national capital region of the country. The seat of government of Rizal was hosted in Pasig at the old Rizal Provincial Capitol until a new capitol was opened in Antipolo, within Rizal's jurisdiction in 2009. However, it remained as the de jure, or official capital of the province until July 7, 2020. On June 19, 2020, President Rodrigo Duterte signed Republic Act No. 11475, which designated Antipolo as the official capital of Rizal.

The Diocesan Shrine and Parish of Our Lady of Light, popularly known as Cainta Church (Spanish: Parroquia de Nuestra Señora de la Luz), is a Roman Catholic parish church located along Andres Bonifacio Avenue in Barangay San Andres, Cainta, Rizal, in the Philippines. The church also operates a neighboring school, Cainta Catholic College. From its time of erection as a parish in 1760 until 1983, it belonged to the Archdiocese of Manila. It was placed under the newly created Diocese of Antipolo in 1983, which is now headed by Most Rev. Francisco M. De Leon. It belongs to the Vicariate of Our Lady of Light. On 6 December 2017, Pope Francis granted the papal bull of canonical coronation towards its enshrined Marian image and it was crowned on 1 December 2018. The venerated image is a destroyed Sicilian painting from 1727, recreated by Philippine national artist Fernando Amorsolo due to the burning of the original relic during the Filipino-American war in 1899. It is the first Marian image in Philippine history to be pontifically crowned as an artistic painting. On the same day as its canonical coronation, the parish church was consecrated and elevated into a Diocesan Shrine.

The Santo Rosario de Pasig Church, formerly Immaculate Conception Cathedral Parish, is a Roman Catholic church in Pasig, Philippines. The jurisdiction of the parish is as follows: Santolan (North), Marikina River (West), Maybunga San Miguel (South), Cainta, Rizal (East). The church enshrines the 19th century Virgin Mary, said to be different among others, for she has a moon underneath her feet.The parish is one of the three other parishes in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Pasig that has been granted the special papal blessing to mark its Jubilee Year in connection with its 50th anniversary.

Arcovia City (sometimes styled ArcoVia City) is a mixed-use development in Ugong, Pasig, Metro Manila, the Philippines. It is a 12.3-hectare (30-acre) riverside township located by the Marikina River east of Ortigas Center being developed by the Megaworld Corporation. The centerpiece of the development is a triumphal arch surmounted by a bronze sculpture of a charioteer emperor accompanied by three horses called the Arco de Emperador. When completed, the township will have residential condominiums, a retail hub, LEED-registered office towers and over a thousand trees dotting the mixed-use community making it the greenest urban development by Megaworld to date.

Cainta, officially the Municipality of Cainta (Filipino: Bayan ng Cainta, IPA: [kaʔɪntɐʔ]), is a 1st class municipality in the province of Rizal, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 376,933 people. It is one of the oldest municipalities in Luzon (founded on August 15, 1571) and has a land area of 4,299 hectares (10,620 acres). Cainta serves as the secondary gateway to the rest of Rizal province from Metro Manila. With the continuous expansion of Metro Manila, Cainta is now part of Manila's conurbation, which reaches Cardona in its easternmost part and is therefore one of the most urbanized towns. As the country's 2nd most populous municipality after Rodriguez, Rizal, efforts are underway to convert it into a city. Its total assets amounting to ₱3,988,392,142.17 (as per 2017 Commission on Audit summary) makes it the richest municipality in the country in terms of income. However, Cainta faces different challenges especially with its boundary disputes with Pasig (Greenpark Village, Karangalan Village, St. Joseph Subdivision, Villarica Subdivision, Riverside and Midtown Village), Taytay (Greenland and eastern part of Cainta) and Antipolo (Valley Golf and Country Club, Valley View and Palmera Heights), thus hindering cityhood efforts.

Rizal High School (Filipino: Mataas na Paaralang Rizal) or commonly known as RHS an institution of secondary education based in Pasig, Metro Manila, Philippines, has been listed as the “largest secondary school in the world” since 1993 by the Guinness Book of World Records until 2005 when City Montessori School in Lucknow, India held the title of the world's biggest school, when it had 29,212 pupils, beating Rizal High School in Manila, Philippines, which had 19,738 pupils.The school was named after the Philippine national hero, Dr. Jose P. Rizal. Notable graduates of the institution include former Senate presidents Neptali Gonzales and Senator Jovito Salonga, former Senator Rene Saguisag, Maestro Lucio San Pedro, and National Artist Carlos “Botong” Francisco to mention a few.

Bridgetowne is a real estate development spanning the border of Pasig and Quezon City in Metro Manila, the Philippines. It is a mixed township and business park situated in a former industrial area on both banks of the Marikina River near the junction of Eulogio Rodriguez Jr. Avenue (C-5 Road) and Ortigas Avenue. The 30.61-hectare (75.6-acre) masterplanned community is the first integrated township project by Robinsons Land Corporation, the real estate arm of JG Summit. It is currently anchored by four office towers in its information technology park dedicated to the business process outsourcing sector, its second in Metro Manila after Robinsons Cybergate in Mandaluyong. Once completed, the township will be a community consisting of seven office towers, a shopping mall, five-star hotel and residential condominiums, with a landmark bridge and a light art installation called The Victor as its centerpiece.

The Circumferential Road 5–Ortigas Avenue Interchange, also known as the C-5–Ortigas Interchange, is a pair of intersecting flyovers in Pasig, Metro Manila, the Philippines that serves as the junction between Circumferential Road 5 (C-5) and Ortigas Avenue. Originally a regular four-way intersection, the current interchange was inaugurated in 2003, and completed in 2004.

The Sapang Baho River is a river system that runs through Rizal Province and Marikina in the Philippines. The name, when literally translated, means "smelly creek." It is one of 21 tributaries of Laguna de Bay and is regularly monitored by the Laguna Lake Development Authority (LLDA) through one of its 15 river monitoring stations. Among its headwaters are the Hinulugang Taktak falls on the Taktak River in Antipolo city, once a famed tourist destination in the days before urbanization and pollution.
