Killarney Gardens is an industrial area of Cape Town with no population or households. It is located about 30 minutes away from the harbour and the airport and situated between the N1, the N7 and Plattekloof roads.Neighbouring suburbs include Milnerton Rural, Dunoon, Richwood, and Flamingo Vlei. The ward councillor for the area is Joy McCarthy from the Democratic Alliance.

Dunoon is a slum on the outskirts of Cape Town, in the Western Cape province of South Africa. The first erf for Dunoon was surveyed in 1996. As formal housing was built, shacks developed rapidly.Dunoon is near the Killarney Motor Racing Complex. The township's neighbouring counterpart is Joe Slovo Park. Dunoon has no police stations; the nearest one is in Milnerton, which is in quite bad shape. In 2011, the population of Dunoon was 31,133 and the number of households were 11,496. The main form of transport for Dunoon residents is the minibus taxi; the MyCiTi bus service opened a bus station to serve Dunoon on 1 March 2014.On the opposite side of Potsdam Road from Dunoon is an informal settlement called Site 5, which consists of a group of shacks. Dunoon has been known for its participation in violent, xenophobic demonstrations against foreign residents in the township.

Killarney Motor Racing Complex, whose main race track is also known as Killarney International Raceway, is a motor racing complex in Milnerton Rural, Cape Town, South Africa. It first saw action in 1947.

Bothasig is a suburban area of the City of Cape Town in Western Cape, South Africa. It is located north of Edgemead and east of Milnerton. It is located approximately 15 km north-east of the Cape Town city centre. Developed as a township mainly for Tradesmen/women and their families with a max income of R140 a month and laid out on the farm Bosmansdam, which it was initially named after, but renamed in 1966 after P W Botha, then Minister of Community Development and subsequently Prime Minister and State President of the Republic of South Africa.Bothasig is an area located toward the west of the province Western Cape in South Africa. The area is very community focused and hosts the Bothasig Football Club (Abe Sher Stadium) alongside the Bothasig Baseball Club.

The Diep River Fynbos Corridor is a nature reserve located in the Blaauwberg region of Cape Town, South Africa. It forms part of the larger Table Bay Nature Reserve, which was established in June 2012.

Bosmansdam High School (Afrikaans: Hoërskool Bosmansdam) is a public English & Afrikaans medium co-educational high school. It was founded in 1971 in Bothasig, a suburb of Cape Town. The school is state assisted and therefore, like most other schools in South Africa, it charges a set amount of money for its services. The school offers a wide variety of sporting and cultural activities in addition to its academic program.

Monte Vista is a northern suburb of Cape Town, South Africa, whose name meaning 'Mountain View' is derived from Table Mountain being clearly visible from it. It is bordered by Edgemead, Welgelegen, Plattekloof Glen, and Goodwood. Monte Vista Primary School was built in the 1960s.

Milnerton Racecourse is located in Milnerton, Western Cape, South Africa and is owned and managed by Gold Circle. Though the racecourse is not used for races anymore, it is still used for the training and stabling of racing horses. Much of Gold Circle's land around the race track was sold for the development of the Royal Ascot residential precinct. The land inside the race tracks was retained by the City of Cape Town for nature conservation purposes. This conservation land was formerly called the Royal Ascot Conservation Area, but is now called the Milnerton Racecourse Nature Reserve.

There are two schools in Edgemead: Edgemead Primary and Edgemead High School. Edgemead has the Edgemead Football Club (ECC), which has recently been promoted to the premier league. And Edgemead Goodwood Peninsula Park Villa, a Association football club located in Edgemead that plays in the Premier Division of the Tygerburg Capetown FA. The neighbourhood is also the location of the Goodwood Centre of Excellence, a medium security prison run by the South African Department of Correctional Services.

Parklands is a suburb of Cape Town, South Africa. It is near Blouberg, bordered by Tableview, Cape Town and is part of the Western Seaboard residential district. Parklands is one of the fastest-growing residential developments in the Western Cape. It is characterised by lower-density suburban areas and higher-density apartment block areas; the latter are largely inhabited by African diaspora residents.
