Garrett Hill is an unincorporated community in Radnor Township, Pennsylvania approximately 8 miles northwest of Philadelphia. The geographic area is located in the portion of the Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania ZIP code that comprises Rosemont. The community is (roughly) bounded by Lancaster Avenue, Conestoga Road, Garrett Avenue and Lowrys Lane. Although a strong working class community with blue collar roots, it is located on the Pennsylvania Railroad Main Line. The community is served by its own stop, Garrett Hill station, on the Norristown High Speed Line, formerly the Philadelphia and Western Railway. Garrett Hill is mainly a residential community, but also includes a small commercial area (near the intersection of Conestoga Road and Garrett Avenue) consisting of a few bars and other small businesses that serve the community and the student population of nearby Villanova University.One of Garrett Hill's traditions is an annual community Fourth of July parade, followed by a free picnic with live music and other entertainment in Clem Macrone Park. Garrett Hill's housing stock consists largely of late 19th-century and early-to-mid 20th-century structures, including Victorian, single-family frame and brick duplex homes.

WXVU, known as Villanova University Radio, is a college radio station which is broadcast in the Philadelphia area via a 100-watt transmitter that covers an 8-mile (13 km) radius around the Villanova University campus. WXVU offers a variety of music, news, sports, public affairs and specialty programming. All full and part-time Villanova students are eligible to sign up for training and become a station member. Sharing its FM frequency with Cabrini College's station, WYBF, WXVU broadcasts four days a week over the air and every day of the week online.Villanova student radio began in 1947 when returning GIs built a closed circuit AM carrier current transmitter, located since 1955 in Dougherty Hall. The station's original call letters were WWVU and later WKVU 640 AM. Sporadic attempts to "go FM" came to fruition with the birth of WXVU 89.1 FM in 1991. Notable carrier current-era staff members include Jim Croce and Don McLean, both of whom would become music legends. Ed Gallagher DJ'd a 104-hour radiothon to benefit muscular dystrophy research in March 1975 with guest appearances by notable Philadelphians of the day including WFIL AM 560 boss jock Banana Joe Montione, whose 8 foot fiberglass banana was briefly absconded in a prank. In the late 1970s WKVU became known for its sports programming, and was even briefly the exclusive radio home of Villanova basketball, a relationship which, though no longer exclusive, extended into the Big East era (1980 forward). WXVU/WKVU alumni, including Ryan Fannon and Whitey Rigsby, have long enjoyed success in professional broadcasting.

The Jake Nevin Field House (originally known as the Villanova Field House) is an arena located at Villanova University in Villanova, Pennsylvania. The arena, built in 1932, is the former home of the Villanova men's basketball program prior to the construction of the venue now known as Finneran Pavilion in 1986. It currently houses the women's volleyball team, as well as the intramural sports program and the main athletic offices for the school. The building, originally known as the Villanova Field House, was renamed in 1985 in honor of Jake Nevin, longtime Villanova athletic trainer. It has permanent seating for 1,500 in the sideline balconies of the building, and can accommodate more with temporary seating on the floor of the arena. With Finneran Pavilion closed for renovations during the 2017–18 season, the Villanova women's basketball team played its entire home schedule that season at the Field House. The men's basketball team hosted Penn in a game played on November 29, 2017. It was the first game for the men's team in the facility since 1986.

Built in 1985, the arena is home to the Villanova University Wildcats basketball teams. It is recognizable from the outside for its hyperbolic paraboloid roofline, similar to Alfond Arena at the University of Maine. It replaced the still-existing Villanova Field House, later renamed the "Jake Nevin Field House," a small arena-auditorium built in 1932. The first men's basketball game played at the Pavilion took place on February 1, 1986, a 64-62 victory against the University of Maryland. For basketball games where larger crowds are expected, Villanova plays at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia (where Villanova holds the record for largest Pennsylvania crowd to watch a college basketball game, att. 20,859). The Finneran Pavilion is known for its famed student section, which constitutes a full third of the seating. Formerly located in the south end, the student bleachers seat 2,000 students but have been known to be filled with as many as 2,500 students. Joseph Sinnott Mansion, also known in Gaelic as "Rathalla," meaning "home of the chieftain on the highest hill" is the Main Building at Rosemont College. It is a historic home located on the campus of Rosemont College at Rosemont, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. It was originally a part of the Ashbridge estate and was called 'Rosemont Farm'. However, in 1889, Joseph F. Sinnott, a Whiskey distiller, purchased the 40-acre land. Upon it was built his summer home between the years of 1889-1891 by Hazlehurst & Huckel for $150,000. Edward Hazelhust and Samuel Huckel were both fellows of the American Institute of Architects Rathalla is a 2+1⁄2-story, 32-roomed stone building on a brick foundation in a Renaissance Revival / Châteauesque style. The mansion features a high, steep sided, slate covered hipped roof, six decorated chimneys, numerous dormer windows, turrets, and stone carvings including gargoyles. The exterior of the home is laden with 52 carved limestone images. The stained glass window above the staircase features the Sinnott family's coat of arms, containing the motto "Ama Deum et Serva Mandata." This crest consists of a black swan above a striped wreath, with a gold crown around its neck and an arrow piercing its heart. Beneath this swan is a coat of arms with three more black swan. The motto is written on a scroll that drapes beneath the images. Hazelhurst and Huckel built the mansion in the style of the Loire Valley homes in France. This style was quite in vogue at the time, as high end clients such as the Vanderbilts in New York also fashioned their mansions in a chateaux style during the same decade.The property was purchased for $250,000 by the Sisters of the Holy Child of Jesus in 1921 and later sold for $1 to Rosemont College in 1927.As the Main Building of Rosemont College, Rathalla has seen its fair share of elite guests. Among these notable visitors are John F. Kennedy in 1953, whose sister, Patricia, graduated from Rosemont College in the forties, and Joseph Biden as the 1974 commencement speaker. Both Biden and Kennedy were senators when they visited Rosemont and Rathalla. Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen was a frequent visitor of Rathalla and Rosemont College, speaking at over thirty graduation ceremonies.Rathalla was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. Rathalla is said to have historic significance because it embodies the era in which it was built.The Main Building at Rosemont College can be seen in the films "The Sterling Chase" and "Tenure," as filming took place on the college's campus.In 1999 The board of trustees at Rosemont College updated the mechanical systems in Rathalla, their Main Building. New wiring, heating and air conditioning, modern plumbing, an elevator, chair lift, and a handicapped accessible bedroom were all added. The construction company, Pancoast and Clifford Inc., was awarded the "Best Restoration/ Renovation Award" which is given annually by the Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc. in recognition of their feat of renovation.

Local, Hughes Park Express, and Norristown Express trains stop at Roberts Road. The station lies 5.9 track miles from 69th Street Terminal. The station was officially renamed from Rosemont to Roberts Road by SEPTA on September 5, 2010.

Rosemont station is a SEPTA Regional Rail station in Rosemont, Pennsylvania. It is located at Airdale Road and Montrose Avenues and is served by most Paoli/Thorndale Line trains. The station was originally built by the Pennsylvania Railroad between 1863 and 1871 (appears on 1871 atlas). As a modern SEPTA station, the building is also occupied by a real estate broker's office and underwent renovations for this use in 1983. The ticket office at this station is open weekdays 6:00 AM to 10:55 AM excluding holidays. There are 112 parking spaces at the station. This station is 10.9 track miles from Philadelphia's Suburban Station. In 2017, the average total weekday boardings at this station was 323, and the average total weekday alightings was 321.

Local, Hughes Park Express, and Norristown Express trains stop at Villanova. The station lies 7.0 track miles from 69th Street Terminal. The station has off-street parking available. Villanova station lies east of the former Strafford Spur, which was closed by the Philadelphia and Western Railroad in 1956. Today, the former right-of-way between Strafford and Radnor serves as the P&W Bicycle Trail.

St. Thomas of Villanova Church is a Roman Catholic church on the campus of Villanova University. Completed in 1887, it had long been the center of Augustinian activity in the United States, and still plays an important role within the province. Today, the church functions as the parish church for St. Thomas of Villanova parish as well as the University Chapel for Villanova University. The church's dual Gothic revival spires have long been symbolic of the University.
