Wood End railway station

Wood End is a village in Warwickshire, England. It is about 1 mile north of Tanworth-in-Arden (where the population can be found), and has a railway station situated on the Birmingham Snow Hill to Stratford-upon-Avon on the North Warwickshire Line.

Ladbrooke is an historic estate in the parish of Tanworth-in-Arden, Warwickshire, England. The early history until the late 14th century is sparse and inextricably confused (even in the authoritative Victoria County History) with the manor and parish of Ladbroke near Southam in Warwickshire, 34 km to the south-east. The confusion arises not only because both places within the same county are spelled variously and identically in historic documents, but mainly because the mediaeval de Lodbroke family appear to have held estates in each place. The 1619 Heraldic Visitation of Warwickshire which gives the pedigree of the "de Lodbroke" family, states them as "Dominus de Lodbrooke" (lord of the manor of Lodbrooke) and makes no mention of Tanworth-in-Arden. The Victoria County History is however clear that the seat of the de Lodbroke family was Ladbroke near Southam and not Ladbrooke in the parish of Tanworth-in-Arden.

Earlswood Town Football Club is a football club based in Earlswood, near Solihull, England. They are currently members of the Midland League Division Two and play at The Yakinori Pavilions on Malt House Lane. Former Republic of Ireland international Don Givens is a vice-president while ex-England goalkeeper Ben Foster is club patron.

Tanworth-in-Arden (; often abbreviated to Tanworth) is a village and civil parish in the county of Warwickshire, England. It is 12.5 miles (20 km) south-southeast of Birmingham, 5.5 miles (9 km) north-east of Redditch and 8 miles (13 km) south-southwest of Solihull and is administered by Stratford-on-Avon District Council. Situated in the far west of the county and close to the Worcestershire border, the civil parish is larger than the village, and includes Tanworth-in-Arden itself plus the nearby settlements of Earlswood, Wood End, Forshaw Heath, Aspley Heath and Danzey Green. The population of the parish was 3,228 at the 2021 UK census.

The Lakes is a railway station located on the North Warwickshire Line in the north of Stratford-on-Avon District in Warwickshire, England. The nearest settlement is the village of Earlswood. Opened by the Great Western Railway as The Lakes Halt on 3 June 1935. The station was built to serve the nearby Earlswood Lakes, which were a popular destination for daytrippers. As it was only designed to cater for local traffic, it was built with relatively short platforms, being only 130 feet (40 m) long.

The Church of St Mary Magdalene is an Anglican church in the village of Tanworth-in-Arden, in Warwickshire, England, and in the Diocese of Birmingham. The building dates from the 13th and 14th centuries, with modifications in the 18th and 19th centuries. It is Grade I listed.

Earlswood Lakes is the modern name for three man-made reservoirs which were built in the 1820s at Earlswood in Warwickshire, England, to supply water to the Stratford-upon-Avon Canal. They still supply the canal, and also provide leisure facilities, including sailing, fishing, and walking. The northern banks of the lakes form the borough and county boundary with the Metropolitan Borough of Solihull and the West Midlands.

Earlswood is a small village in Warwickshire, England in the Tanworth-in-Arden Civil parish of the Stratford-on-Avon District. However, the northernmost part of the village lies within Tidbury Green parish in the Solihull Metropolitan Borough of the West Midlands. A hamlet called Warings Green also lies in the south east of the village, with the northernmost point crossing into the parish of Cheswick Green in the borough of`Solihull. The village's postal code, B94, is in the Birmingham postcode area. It is in the ecclesiastical parish (Church of England) of St Patrick, Salter Street. The village is surrounded by farmland and forests and it gives its name to Earlswood Lakes (entirely within Warwickshire) as well as to Earlswood railway station (on the border with West Midlands), even though The Lakes railway station is located closer to the main part of the village.

The River Alne is a tributary of the Arrow and has its headwaters to the north of Wootton Wawen.

Earlswood railway station is located on the western fringe of the village of Earlswood on the West Midlands/Warwickshire border in England. The platforms straddle the county border, with the approach road on the West Midlands side. The station, and all trains serving it, are operated by West Midlands Trains. Originally opened as Earlswood Lakes in mid-1908, the station was renamed Earlswood on 6 May 1974 despite being located next to the settlement of Foreshaw Heath and The Lakes railway station being located closer to Earlswood village.

Danzey is a railway station which serves the small village of Danzey Green, and the larger but slightly more distant village of Tanworth-in-Arden in Warwickshire, England. Situated on the North Warwickshire Line, the station was opened by the Great Western Railway in 1908 along with the line, and was originally known as Danzey for Tanworth. It is a few minutes walk from Danzey Green, and around one mile from Tanworth-in-Arden.

Danzey Green, sometimes known locally as simply Danzey, is a small rural hamlet in Warwickshire, England. It is within the civil parish of Tanworth-in-Arden, the village of which is around one mile to the north-west. Just east of Danzey is the River Alne. It is situated 16.4 miles (26.4 km) south south-east of Birmingham, 13.5 miles (21.7 km) east of Bromsgrove and 12.1 miles (19.5 km) north north-west of Stratford-upon-Avon. It is served by Danzey railway station on the adjacent North Warwickshire Line. Danzey Green was once home to a windmill, which was built in 1830, but it stopped working in 1874 after being damaged in a severe storm. In 1969 the windmill was dismantled and then reassembled at the Avoncroft Museum of Historic Buildings in nearby Worcestershire and restored to working order.
