New York's 37th congressional district

The 41st congressional district of New York was a congressional district for the United States House of Representatives in New York. It was created in 1913 as a result of the 1910 census. It was eliminated in 1973 as a result of the 1970 redistricting cycle after the 1970 United States census. It was last represented by Thaddeus J. Dulski who was redistricted into the 37th district.

On the evening of December 27, 1983, firefighters in Buffalo, New York responded to a call regarding a propane gas leak. Shortly after their arrival, the propane ignited, leveling a warehouse and causing a wide swath of damage. Five firefighters and two civilians were killed in the blast, and left dozens more injured. The event remains the largest single day loss of life for the Buffalo Fire Department.

St. Andrew's Evangelical Lutheran Church Complex, also known as Deliverance Temple of God & Christ, is a historic Evangelical Lutheran church complex located at Buffalo in Erie County, New York. The complex consists of the original German Lutheran church structure constructed in 1859 and later remodeled into a school; the eclectic Gothic-Romanesque style church structure constructed in 1885; and the Queen Anne style parish house constructed in 1892.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

The Larkin Building was an early 20th century building. It was designed in 1903 by Frank Lloyd Wright and built in 1904-1906 for the Larkin Soap Company of Buffalo, New York. The five story dark red brick building used pink tinted mortar and utilized steel frame construction. It was noted for many innovations, including air conditioning, built-in desk furniture, and suspended toilet partitions and bowls. Though this was an office building, it still caught the essence of Frank Lloyd Wright's type of architecture. Sculptor Richard Bock provided ornamentation for the building.Located at 680 Seneca Street, the Larkin Building was demolished in 1950.

The John F. Kamman Building is a historic commercial building located at Buffalo in Erie County, New York. It designed by Buffalo architect F.W. Caulkins and built in 1883. A four-story brick building, it was designed in the Romanesque Renaissance style. The Kamman Building is located within the Hydraulics Neighborhood, Buffalo's oldest manufacturing district. A post office substation was located in the building starting in 1893. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2010.A 4-story building of "7-rank brick" and Medina sandstone it has a ground floor storefront featuring cast iron pilasters, a lion head ornament and a "The Kamman" sign above the door.The property was owned by the Kamman family until 1916, when it was sold to the Larkin Company.The building's location in the Hydraulics area was near the large livestock yards and rail lines booming in the nineteenth-century (Buffalo was second only to Chicago in the number of cattle and hogs it handled). German butchers such as the Kamman family (immigrants who arrived in the mid-1800s) established themselves. Henry Kamman ran a butcher shop at 573-575 Seneca Street and Jefferson Avenue while brother John F. Kamman purchased property in the 700 block of Seneca during the 1850s and early 1860s and built the J. F. Kamman Slaughterhouse including barns, processing buildings, and sheds. The family also lived on the property. The Kamman Building was constructed around 1886 by John F. Kamman at 755-757 Seneca Street. John H. Kamman (son of Henry) continued the trade and the John H. Kamman Company was built into one of the city's largest meat markets and grocery store chains (including more than 30 stores). The Kamman Building at 757 Seneca Street was home to one of the markets in 1903.

The Larkin Terminal Warehouse also known as Larkin at Exchange or the Larkin R/S/T Building : p.88  is located at 726 Exchange Street, Buffalo, New York in a neighborhood known as the "Hydraulics". The neighborhood was one of Buffalo's earliest industrial districts and it derived its name from the construction of a small hydraulic canal. The building, clearly visible from the I-190 interstate, was originally part of the Larkin Company and was one of the last constructed buildings in the complex. The building has a radio tower on the roof erected by WEBR-AM in 1936.

Larkinville, also known as The Hydraulics, is an area of Buffalo, New York located near downtown, South Buffalo and Canalside. Once an industrial neighborhood, it is now home to offices, shops, and a public gathering space called Larkin Square that regularly features food trucks, events, and concerts. The current form of the neighborhood came as a result of the gentrification of the former headquarters complex of the Larkin Soap Company, which includes the Larkin Terminal Warehouse, and other abandoned warehouses nearby.

Westminster House Club House is a historic settlement house clubhouse located in the Broadway-Fillmore neighborhood of Buffalo, Erie County, New York. It was built in 1909–1910, and is a two-story, "L"-shaped, red brick building with Craftsman style design elements. It features broad overhanging eaves with paired brackets and a raised basement. The building is the last of a complex of buildings operated by Westminster Presbyterian Church that housed social welfare activities that largely benefited the German immigrant community on Buffalo's East Side in the early 20th century.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2018.

F.N. Burt Company Factory is a historic former box factory complex located at Buffalo in Erie County, New York. Another factory operated by F.N. Burt in Buffalo was the F.N. Burt Company Factory "C".

The Great Atlantic and Pacific Tea Company Warehouse, also known as the A&P Warehouse and The Keystone Warehouse Company, is a historic warehouse building located in Buffalo, Erie County, New York. It was built in 1917, is an eight-story reinforced concrete industrial building encompassing 250,000 square feet of warehouse space. It has a one-story wing built of concrete block walls and steel framing. The building was occupied by The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company until 1975.The building is currently undergoing conversion and rehabilitation into loft residential units. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2016.

Buffalo Elementary School of Technology (formerly P.S. 6 and later Academic Challenge Center) is an elementary school located in Buffalo, New York. It is located at 414 South Division Street in Buffalo and serves Grades K through 8. As of 2014 the acting principal is Karen Piotrowski. The previous principal, Sharon Brown, was transferred.

St. Stanislaus - Bishop & Martyr Church is located at 123 Townsend Street, Buffalo, New York on the city's east side. The Church is the oldest Polish church in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Buffalo and holds the title of "Mother Church of Polonia" for western New York.
