Bullock Creek High School

Bullock Creek Public Schools is located in Central-South Midland County, Michigan. The school district has five schools: Floyd Elementary, Pine River Elementary, Bullock Creek Elementary, Bullock Creek Middle School, and Bullock Creek High School. The mission of the Bullock Creek School District is as follows: "The Bullock Creek School District, in partnership with the community, provides a positive climate that supports excellence in teaching and learning, thereby enabling students to realize their full potential." Chippewa Nature Center (CNC) is both a 501(c)(3) non-profit educational organization and a protected wildlife area in the Lower Peninsula of Michigan, encompassing over 1,500 acres (6.1 km2) of forest, rivers and wetlands. Located in Midland County, it is one of the largest and most prominent private non-profit nature centers in the United States.

The Oxbow Archeological District, also known as the Chippewa Nature Center Site, is a set of archaeological sites located on the grounds of the Chippewa Nature Center (400 S. Badour Rd.) near Midland, Michigan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973. The district contains single and multicomponent sites, which were occupied during the Middle and Late Archaic, Late Woodland, and Historic periods.The district was the site of a battle between two tribes: the Ojibwe and the Sauk. It was first unearthed in the 1930s.Archaeological sites at the Chippewa Nature Center include: Naugle Site (20MD30): A site containing early Late Woodland and Late Archaic components, located near the Visitor's Center. It was first excavated in the early 1970s. Sumac Bluff site (20MD25): A prehistoric Archaic and Woodland site located on the bank of the Chippewa River. Sias East site (20MD263): A site located along the north side of the Chippewa river. This site contains at least two dated occupations: a Middle Woodland occupation in the fourth century A.D. and a late prehistoric occupation in the fifteenth century A.D. Other occupations are possible. Cater Site (20MD36): A site on the south side of the Chippewa River discovered in the early 1970. It contains artifacts from three eras of occupation: prehistoric occupation, Chippewa occupation (likely about 1800-1830), and settler European occupation dating to about 1840. Site 20MD534: An early nineteenth century Chippewa habitation site, located about 150 meters from the Cater site. This site was discovered in 1999. Ponton Site: Located across the river from the Cater Site, this was discovered in 1995, and incorporated into the Chippewa Nature Center in 2001. It is another historical European settler site, dating from about 1830.

Homer Township is a civil township of Midland County in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2020 census, the township population was 3,993.

The Tridge is the formal name of a three-way wooden footbridge spanning the confluence of the Chippewa and Tittabawassee Rivers in Chippewassee Park near downtown Midland, Michigan, in the Tri-Cities region. Named as a portmanteau of "tri" and "bridge", the structure opened in 1981. It consists of one 31-foot (9.4 m) tall central pillar supporting three spokes. Each spoke is 180 feet (55 m) long by 8 feet (2.4 m) wide.

The Joseph A. Cavanagh House is a single-family home located at 415 West Main Street in Midland, Michigan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989. The house is architecturally significant because it demonstrates the beginnings of architect Alden B. Dow's interpretation of the Prairie Style.

The Earl Stein House is a single-family home located at 209 Revere Street in Midland, Michigan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989. The house is significant as the first house designed through the Taliesin Fellowship program, established by Frank Lloyd Wright in 1933.

The Midland County Courthouse is a government building located at 301 West Main Street in Midland, Michigan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986. It is the only Tudor Revival style courthouse in the state.

The Mackinac Center for Public Policy () in Midland, Michigan, is the largest U.S. state-based free market think tank in the United States. The Mackinac Center conducts policy research and educational programs. The Center sponsors MichiganVotes.org, an online legislative voting record database which provides a non-partisan summary of every bill and vote in the Michigan legislature. Mackinac Center scholars generally recommend lower taxes, reduced regulatory authority for state agencies, right-to-work laws, school choice, and enhanced protection of individual property rights; they avoid socially conservative issues such as reproductive or marriage rights.Joseph Overton (1960–2003), a senior vice president of the Mackinac Center, stated the political strategy that later became known as the Overton window. Overton said that politically unpopular, unacceptable policies must be changed into politically acceptable policies before they can be enacted into law. The Center was ranked among the top 5 percent of almost 1,900 think tanks in the United States by the 2018 Global Go To Think Tank Index Report.

The James T. Pardee House is a single-family home located at 812 West Main Street in Midland, Michigan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

Midland is a city in and the county seat of Midland County, Michigan, in the United States. The city's population was 42,547 as of the 2020 census. It is the principal city of the Midland Metropolitan Statistical Area, part of the larger Saginaw-Midland-Bay City Combined Statistical Area.

The Herbert H. Dow House is an historic house located in the Dow Gardens of Midland, Michigan. Built in 1899, it was the home of Herbert H. Dow (b. 1866), founder of Dow Chemical Company, from then until his death in 1930. It was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1976. The house is open for guided tours; admission is charged.
