The Moose River is a small river in Vermont of United States of America. It flows into the Passumpsic River at St. Johnsbury, and is part of the Connecticut River basin. The river is measured by a flow gauge at Victory. One of the shortest rivers in the United States, the Moose is used for whitewater rafting.

The Morency Paint Shop and Apartment Building is a historic mixed-use building at 77-79 Portland Street on the east side of St. Johnsbury, Vermont. Built in 1890 by a carriage painter, it is a good example of Victorian vernacular mixed commercial and residential architecture. Now completely in residential use, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1994.

St. Johnsbury is a census-designated place (CDP) corresponding to the main settled areas in the town of St. Johnsbury, Caledonia County, Vermont, United States. As of the 2020 census it had a population of 5,994, out of 7,364 in the entire town. The CDP is in eastern Caledonia County, occupying the southern one-third of the town of St. Johnsbury. It includes the urban center of St. Johnsbury, the village of St. Johnsbury Center to the north up the valley of the Passumpsic River, and development along Route 2 to the east up the valley of the Moose River, but not as far as the village of East St. Johnsbury. Interstate 91 passes through the west side of the CDP, with access from Exits 20, 21, and 22. I-91 leads north 42 miles (68 km) to Newport and south 59 miles (95 km) to White River. U.S. Routes 2 and 5 intersect in the center of the community. U.S. 2 leads west 35 miles (56 km) to Montpelier, the state capital, and east 28 miles (45 km) to Lancaster, New Hampshire, while U.S. 5 provides a local parallel route to I-91, leading north 8 miles (13 km) to Lyndonville and south 20 miles (32 km) to Wells River.

The Benoit Apartments are a pair of apartment houses at 439 and 447 Pearl Street in St. Johnsbury, Vermont. Both were built around the turn of the 20th century, and are well-preserved examples of Colonial Revival and Queen Anne architecture, respectively, with a long period of common ownership. They were each listed individually on the National Register of Historic Places in 1994, in listings that included street numbers current to that period.

The Maple Street–Clarks Avenue Historic District encompasses a historic 19th-century immigrant neighborhood of St. Johnsbury, Vermont. Located northwest of the downtown area on a sloping hillside, it consists of tenements and single-family houses built for Irish and French Canadian immigrants, sometimes grouped in ways that facilitated the support of large extended families. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1994.

The St. Johnsbury Historic District encompasses much of the historic civic and commercial center of St. Johnsbury, Vermont. Representing a significant expansion of the Railroad Street Historic District and the St. Johnsbury Main Street Historic District, it captures the historical tension and competition between Main Street and Railroad Street for primacy as the town's most important civic and commercial areas. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

The Railroad Street Historic District encompasses a cluster of commercial and railroad-related buildings at the traditional late 19th-century heart of St. Johnsbury, Vermont. It includes five commercial buildings and the town's 1883 union depot, and is reflective of the town's importance as a major railroad junction in northern New England. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974. It was subsumed by the larger St. Johnsbury Historic District in 1980.

The Fairbanks Museum & Planetarium is a combination natural science museum, history museum, and planetarium located in St. Johnsbury, Vermont. It was founded in 1890 by businessman, politician, naturalist, and collector Franklin Fairbanks. The museum and its buildings are on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. The Eye on the Sky Weather Center is a meteorology and weather forecasting station operated regularly at the site since 1893. Meteorologists broadcast their unique weather forecasts for Vermont, New Hampshire, and areas immediately around the region, on Vermont Public Radio and Magic 97.7. The facility also produces daily weather forecasts for three newspapers: The Caledonian Record, Times Argus, and Rutland Herald. The Lyman Spitzer Jr. Planetarium, established in 1960, is located at the museum, and produces public astronomy shows, as well as educational classes on various space science topics. Other productions of the planetarium include the Eye on the Night Sky astronomy program for radio broadcast, and the Night Owl astronomy & spaceflight news articles for online and print publication.

The Shearer and Corser Double House is a historic house at 592 Summer Street in St. Johnsbury, Vermont. Built as a school about 1854, it has had a history of varied uses and prominent local owners, and has high quality Colonial Revival and Italianate features. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1994.

St. Johnsbury Academy (SJA) is an independent, private, coeducational, non-profit boarding and day school located in St. Johnsbury, Vermont, in the United States. The academy enrolls students in grades 9-12. It was founded by Thaddeus Fairbanks, and accepts the majority of its students through one of the nation's oldest voucher systems. It has a sister school, St. Johnsbury Academy Jeju in Jeju Island, South Korea.

The St. Johnsbury Main Street Historic District encompasses the historic civic and cultural center of the town of St. Johnsbury, Vermont. Organized along the town's Main Street, it includes high-quality architecture spanning the 19th and early 20th centuries, and includes the National Historic Landmark St. Johnsbury Athenaeum. Many of the district's buildings were designed by Lambert Packard, a prominent local architect. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975, and was enlarged slightly in 1976. It was subsumed into the larger St. Johnsbury Historic District in 1980.

The St. Johnsbury Athenaeum (often written St. Johnsbury Athenæum) is a combined library and art gallery, in St. Johnsbury, Vermont. The building in which it is housed is architecturally and historically significant because of its construction. The Athenaeum is also noted for the American landscape paintings and books in its collection and its having been funded by Horace Fairbanks, manufacturer of the world's first platform scale. The art collection contains a number of Hudson River School paintings. This building retains a strong Victorian (French Second Empire) flavor of the 19th century.
