Langensendelbach is a municipality in the district of Forchheim in Bavaria in Germany with a population of over 3100. The village Bräuningshof is a part of Langensendelbach. Langensendelbach was first mentioned on 13 July 1062. Thereafter Langensendelbach was a part of the bistum Bamberg. In 1400 St Peter and Paul chapel was built, and in the fourteenth and fifteenth century a small gothic church was built. In 1896 the priest Wölfel found an old German bodygrave from the fifth century. In World War I twenty two men from Langensendelbach died. In World War II eighty eight men had to fight; nineteen of them died in the war or in prison. A few days before the War ended, SS troops were in the village; the US Army attacked them, and three children and one man died.

Effeltrich is a municipality in the district of Forchheim in Bavaria in Germany.

The Tanzlinde, also known as the Tausendjährige Linde or Dorflinde, is a summer lime tree (Tilia platyphyllos) located in Effeltrich, Upper Franconia, on the western edge of Franconian Switzerland. Positioned on the village square across from the fortified church, the lime tree has held a significant role as a central gathering, assembly, and judicial site for centuries. Throughout the 19th and 20th centuries, it also served as a venue for festivals and dances. Notably, the tree's growth features a distinctive flat-oval crown, a result of historical bast extraction for the cultivation of fruit trees. The lime tree in the Franconian region is often seen as the most beautiful among many village lime trees. Many tales, stories, and legends are attributed to the lime tree due to its varied life.

Burk Castle (German: Turmhügel Burk) is a levelled medieval motte and bailey castle in the area known as Beim Schanzbach, about 550 metres south-southwest of the church in Burk, a village in the borough of Forchheim in the county of Forchheim in the south German state of Bavaria. Nothing has survived of the castle which was mentioned in the records in 1127.

Forchheim (German pronunciation: [ˈfɔʁçhæɪ̯m] ) is a town in Upper Franconia (German: Oberfranken) in northern Bavaria, and also the seat of the administrative district of Forchheim. Forchheim is a former royal city, and is sometimes called the Gateway to the Franconian Switzerland, referring to the region of outstanding natural beauty to the north east of the town. Nowadays Forchheim is most famous for its ten day long beer and music festival (Annafest) which takes place in late July in an idyllic wooded hillside, home to 24 beer gardens, on the outskirts of the town. Forchheim's population, as of December 2013, was 30,705, and its land area is 44.95 square kilometres (17.36 square miles). Its position is 49° 44' N, 11° 04' E and its elevation is 265 metres (869 feet) above sea level.

The castle in Forchheim (German: Burg in Forchheim), also referred to as a royal palace or Kaiserpfalz, was an important urban castle under the bishops of Bamberg in the town of Forchheim in the south German state of Bavaria. The castle was built in the late 14th century. After comprehensive archaeological and architectural-historical investigation it has become one of the best researched castles of this period in Central Europe. Today it houses the Archaeological Museum of Upper Franconia. The oldest part of the castle is in the west wing where the cabinet (Kemenate) of the Schultheiß has survived, a room which was built onto the old town wall in 1339.
