Tracy is a city in Platte County, Missouri within the United States, located along the Platte River. The population was 269 at the 2020 census. The city is part of the Kansas City metropolitan area.

West Platte is an unincorporated community in Platte County, in the U.S. state of Missouri. It lies within the Kansas City metropolitan area. The community lies west of Platte City, hence the name.

Platte County Courthouse is a historic courthouse located at Platte City, Platte County, Missouri. It was built in 1866–1867, and is a two-story, cruciform plan, red brick building on a limestone foundation. It has a low pitched cross-gable roof.: 2 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

Frederick Krause Mini Mansion, also known as the Ben Ferrel Platte County Museum, is a historic mansion located at Platte City, Platte County, Missouri. It was built in 1882-1883 by Frederic Krause, an immigrant from Prussia. The mini mansion is a two-story, modified "T"-plan, Second Empire style red brick building with limestone corner quoins and foundation. It is topped by a mansard roof with gray-blue and rose hexagonal slate. The roof and porches are crested with ornamental cast iron work. The home is referred to as a 'mini' mansion because it shares several architectural features with the Missouri Governor's Mansion built in 1871 (to include the brick and limestone construction and mansard roof). An interior, bronze fireplace surround also represents similar design to the white marble one found in the Governor's Mansion in Jefferson City. The Krause mini mansion houses the Ben Ferrel Museum and genealogical and historical research room for the Platte County Historical Society known by the acronym PCHS. The Platte County Historical Society owns and operates the building which opened to the public in 1985. The museum's collection presents regional history with furnishings and items donated entirely from local families and dating mainly from the mid-1800s to 1920. The museum features exhibits and other special events related to local history and the mini mansion's history.: 2 The Krause mini mansion was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.

Platte County is a county located in the northwestern portion of the U.S. state of Missouri and is part of the Kansas City metropolitan area. As of the 2020 census, the population was 106,718. Its county seat is Platte City. The county was organized December 31, 1838, from the Platte Purchase, named for the Platte River. (Platte is derived from the French word for a low, shallow, or intermittent stream.) The Kansas City International Airport is located in the county, approximately one mile west of Interstate 29 between mile markers 12 and 15. The land for the airport was originally in an unincorporated portion of Platte County before being annexed by Platte City, and eventually Kansas City.

The Bee Creek Massacre occurred in December 1861, when Union Army troops of the 18th Missouri Infantry Regiment summarily executed two Confederate prisoners of war. Southern bushwhacker Silas M. Gordon had been operating out of Platte County, Missouri for several months before regional Federal military authorities attempted to capture him and his followers. In November 1861, two Federal soldiers were killed near the Bee Creek Bridge, a few miles north of Weston, Missouri. By mid-December, elements of the 18th Missouri Infantry had seized neighboring Platte City and captured three Confederate soldiers: Black Triplett, Gabriel Close, and William Kuykendall. The captives were either on furlough or had returned home after their enlistment ended. In his history of Platte County, W. M. Paxton, a resident, related that he spoke to the 18th Missouri's colonel, W. James Morgan, asking on behalf of Triplett's father that he be allowed to speak with his son. Morgan's reply was, "Yes, God damn him! Let him say now what he pleases, for he will never see him alive again." Morgan took Triplett and Close near Bee Creek Bridge. Triplett stood and was shot. Close, with his arms bound, fled to the nearby creek bed, where he quickly became mired in the mud. A Federal soldier descended upon him and bayoneted him to death. The letters "U.S." were scrawled in Triplett's blood on the bridge. The third prisoner, William Kuykendall, was spared.

Pleasant Ridge United Baptist Church is a historic Baptist church located at the junction of MO P and Woodruff Road in Weston, Platte County, Missouri. It was built in 1844, and is a one-story, rectangular, brick building. It measures approximately 35 feet by 51 feet, and has a front gable roof. Located on the property is the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery with graves dating from 1848.: 5 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.
