Yongfeng Station (simplified Chinese: 永丰站; traditional Chinese: 永豐站; pinyin: Yǒngfēng Zhàn) is a station on the Line 16 of the Beijing Subway. This station is opened in December 2016.

Shangzhuang Area (Chinese: 上庄地区; pinyin: Shàngzhuāng Dìqū) is an area and a town on the northern end of Haidian District, Beijing, China. It borders Machikou Town in the north, Shahe Town in the east, Xibeiwang Town in the southeast, Sujiatuo and Yangfang Town in the west. The 2020 census determined this area's population to be 71,554.The name Shangzhuang (Chinese: 上庄; lit. 'Upper Villa') came from a village where the government of the town is located in.

Beijing Aerospace Flight Control Center (Chinese: 北京航天飞行控制中心), formerly known as Beijing Aerospace Command and Control Center (Chinese: 北京航天指挥控制中心; BACCC or BACC), is a command center for the Chinese space program which includes the Shenzhou missions, and is located in a suburb northwest of Beijing under the administration of Haidian District. The space center main entrance is located at the intersection of Beiqing Road and You Yi Road as shown by the photograph. The space center is supervised and managed by the government of the People's Republic of China. BACC's primary functions include supervision, telemetry, tracking and command of spacecraft. The building is inside a complex nicknamed Aerospace City. It was initially created for China's crewed space missions, a.k.a. "Project 921", hence also the name "921" among some insiders. It has evolved to be responsible for the Chang'e 1 mission and the Sino-Russian Interplanetary Space Mission, Fobos-Grunt. The BACC also oversees Shenzhou missions with the help of four Yuan Wang-class tracking ships. It has dedicated subsidiaries for SINOSAT and Inmarsat. It was renamed to 北京航天飞行控制中心 (literally: Beijing Aerospace Flight Control Center) in 2006. As of March, 2009, no official announcement has been made to revise its formal name in English in accordance with its new Chinese name.

Wenquan Area (Chinese: 温泉地区; pinyin: Wēnquán Dìqū) is an area and a town on the west of Haidian District, Beijing, China. It borders Xibeiwan Town in its east, Xiangshan Subdistrict in its southeast, Junzhuang Town in its southwest, and Sujiatuo Town in its west and north. The population was 69,165 as of 2020.The name Wenquan (Chinese: 温泉; lit. 'Hot Spring') refers to a hotspring in north of Tangzi Mountain within the region.

Malianwa Subdistrict (Chinese: 马连洼街道; pinyin: Mǎliánwā Jiēdào) is a subdistrict situated on northeastern Haidian District, Beijing, China. It shares border with Xibeiwan Town in the north and west, Shangdi Subdistrict in the east, Qinglongqiao Subdistrict in the south, and contains two exclaves of Qinglongqiao Subdistrict. In 2020 its population was 119,022.Originally this region was known was Malanwa (Chinese: 马兰洼; lit. 'Malan Hollow') for its low-lying landscape and abundance of Kalimeris indica. Over time the name was corrupted to Malianwa.

The Academy of Military Sciences (Chinese: 中国人民解放军军事科学院) is the highest-level research institute of the People's Liberation Army (PLA). It is headquartered in Beijing. The academy was founded in March 1958 and as of 2002, its staff included approximately 500 researchers, making it the largest research institution in the PLA. Its president is General Yang Xuejun (since June 2017) while Lt. General Fang Xiang is the political commissar.
