Fragrant Hills station (Chinese: 香山站; pinyin: Xiāngshān zhàn) is a station on Xijiao line (light rail) of the Beijing Subway. This station opened to public on 30 December 2017.

Xiangshan Subdistrict (Chinese: 香山街道; pinyin: Xiāngshān Jiēdào) is a subdistrict situated on the western portion of Haidian District, Beijing, China. It borders Wenquan and Xibeiwan Towns in its north, Qinglongqiao Subdistrict in its east, Sijiqing Town and Wulituo Subdistrict in its south, and Junzhuang Town in its west. In 2020, it had 27,614 inhabitants under its administration.This subdistrict got its name from Xiangshan (Fragrant Hills) (Chinese: 香山; pinyin: Xiāngshān) in the subdistrict. The name derives from the highest peak of Fragrant Hills, Xianglu Feng (Incense Burner Peak), a 557-meter (1,827 ft) hill with two large stones resembling incense burners at the top.

The China National Botanical Garden (Chinese: 国家植物园; pinyin: Guójiā Zhíwùyuán) is a national botanical garden located in Haidian, Beijing, China. Chartered in 2022, the garden is co-sponsored by the National Forestry and Grassland Administration, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the Beijing Municipal People's Government. The garden is integrated on the basis of the existing conditions of the Institute of Botany of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (South Garden) and the Beijing Botanical Garden (North Garden), with a total planned area of nearly 600 hectares (1,500 acres). The garden is located in between Fragrant Hills Park and Jade Spring Hill in the Western Hills.

China National Botanical Garden station (simplified Chinese: 国家植物园站; traditional Chinese: 國家植物園站; pinyin: Guójiā Zhíwùyuán Zhàn), formerly known as Botanical Garden station (simplified Chinese: 植物园站; traditional Chinese: 植物園站; pinyin: Zhíwùyuán Zhàn), is a station on Xijiao line (light rail) of the Beijing Subway. It was opened on 30 December 2017. On April 18, 2022, following the renaming of China National Botanical Garden, the station was renamed to current name.

The Temple of Azure Clouds (Chinese: 碧云寺; pinyin: Bìyún Sì), or Biyun Temple, is a Buddhist temple located in the eastern part of the Western Hills, just outside the north gate of Fragrant Hills (Xiangshan) Park, in Haidian District, Beijing, China, approximately 20 km from the city center. It was built in the 14th century (possibly in 1331), during the Yuan dynasty (1271–1368) and was expanded in 1748. The temple, which is built on six levels over an elevation of nearly 100 meters, is known for its fine scenery. The temple also includes the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall, which is located at the center of the temple complex. Two other prominent features are the Arhats Hall and the Vajrasana Pagoda. Inside Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall lies an empty crystal coffin presented by the Soviet government in 1925 in memory of Sun Yat-sen (his body had already been entombed and placed at the temple pagoda until its relocation to Nanjing in 1929). Photos of Sun Yat-sen, his handwriting, books and statue are also on display on two sides. There are 512 statues, which include 500 wooden Arhats, 11 Bodhisattvas and one statue of Ji Gong (a famous Buddhist monk) inside the Hall of Arhats. All the Arhats are vivid, life-size statues with different poses and expressions. It has been said that two of these Arhats were the statues of the Kangxi Emperor and the Qianlong Emperor of the Qing dynasty (1644–1911). In addition to these life-sized images, there is a miniature statue of Ji Gong perched on an overhead beam.

The Tuancheng Fortress or Tuan Cheng Fortress (Chinese: t 團城演武廳, s 团城演武厅, p Tuánchéng Yǎnwǔtīng, lit. "Round Wall Fortress") is a historic 18th-century fortress located near the Fragrant Hills in the Haidian District of Beijing, China. Today, the fortress is a national museum and is also known as the Tuancheng Exhibition Hall. The fortress was built in the 14th year of the Qianlong Emperor's reign (1749 CE). Tuancheng was a castellated military training compound used by the Qing to train, inspect, and honor their troops.The site is especially well preserved. Today, the fortress frequently holds large-scale martial arts events and attracts fans from all around China.

Fragrant Hills Park or Xiangshan Park (香山公园) is a public park and former imperial garden at the foot of the Western Hills in the Haidian District, Beijing, China. It was also formerly known as Jingyi Garden or "Jingyiyuan" (靜宜園). It covers 160 ha (395 acres) and consists of a natural pine-cypress forest, hills with maple trees, smoke trees and persimmon trees, as well as landscaped areas with traditional architecture and cultural relics. The name derives from the highest peak of Fragrant Hills, Xianglu Feng (Incense Burner Peak), a 557-meter (1,827 ft) hill with two large stones resembling incense burners at the top.

The Western Hills (Chinese: 西山; pinyin: Xīshān) are the hills and mountains in the western part of Beijing.

The Jingtai Mausoleum (Chinese: 景泰陵; pinyin: Jǐngtàilíng) is the mausoleum of the Jingtai Emperor, the seventh emperor of the Ming dynasty. It is located in the Haidian District, 17 km northwest of central Beijing, and is situated north of Jingming Park. After the Tumu Crisis of 1449, the Jingtai Emperor placed his brother, the former Emperor Yingzong, under house arrest in the Forbidden City. In 1457, Emperor Yingzong took the throne after a conspiracy and the Jingtai Emperor died shortly thereafter. At the time of his death, the Jingtai Emperor had almost completed his tomb at the Ming tombs where his ancestors were buried. However, Emperor Yingzong completely destroyed the tomb. Instead, Jingtai was buried as a prince along with Empress Wang north of Yuquan Mountain at the foot of the Western Mountains in the northwestern outskirts of Beijing. During the reign of the Chenghua Emperor (r. 1464–1487), the tomb was upgraded to an imperial tomb.The original and long-unused tomb of the Jingtai Emperor was rebuilt in 1621 as Qingling Mausoleum, where the Taichang Emperor was buried in the same year.Compared to the other imperial tombs from the Ming dynasty, Jingtai Mausoleum is smaller. The remains of the tomb are in very poor condition and the area where it is located now serves as a residential area for retired military personnel.

Wan'an station (simplified Chinese: 万安站; traditional Chinese: 萬安站; pinyin: Wàn'ān Zhàn) is a station on Xijiao line (light rail) of the Beijing Subway. It was opened on 30 December 2017.

Jade Spring Hill (Chinese: 玉泉山; pinyin: Yùquán Shān) is located to the west of the Summer Palace in Beijing, China. It was also formerly known as Jingming Palace (景明宫, "Jǐngmíng gōng"). It contains an imperial garden, the Jingming Garden and is named after the Jade Spring. It is the location of the Xiangji Temple, the Yufeng Pagoda, the Jinxing Palace and the Furong Palace. Jade Spring Hill reportedly hosts the private villas of high ranking members of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)'s Central Military Commission (CMC) and People's Liberation Army (PLA). Entry is forbidden for non-residents and the area remains under tight security at all times. Jade Spring Hill has been called the "back garden" of Chinese politics (in contrast to the official political compound of Zhongnanhai) because so many influential leaders reportedly have residences in the area. Several of the most recent CCP general secretaries, including Jiang Zemin, Hu Jintao, and Xi Jinping reportedly have been assigned houses in Jade Spring Hill.

Lingguang Temple (simplified Chinese: 灵光寺; traditional Chinese: 靈光寺; pinyin: Língguāng Sì; lit. 'Temple of Divine Light') is a Buddhist temple located on the east hillside of Mount Cuiwei (翠微山), in the Shijingshan District of Beijing. The temple is renowned for its collection of the tooth relic of the Buddha.
