Red Bank Creek

Red Bluff Diversion Dam is a disused irrigation diversion dam on the Sacramento River in Tehama County, California, United States, southeast of the city of Red Bluff. Until 2013, the dam provided irrigation water for two canals that serve 150,000 acres (61,000 ha) of farmland on the west side of the Sacramento Valley. The dam and canals are part of the Sacramento Canals Unit of the Central Valley Project, operated by the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation. In 2013, the dam was decommissioned and the river allowed to flow freely through the site in order to protect migrating fish. A pumping plant constructed a short distance upstream now supplies water to the canal system.

It has a level-III trauma emergency department.On November 14, 2017, several victims of the Rancho Tehama shootings were taken to Saint Elizabeth's emergency department for treatment.

Reeds Creek is a stream in the U.S. state of California. The 20-mile (32 km) long stream is a tributary to the Sacramento River. Reeds Creek was named after Captain Elbridge Gerry Reed, an early settler. Variant names were "Read's Creek" and "Reed Creek".

Rancho Barranca Colorado was a 17,707-acre (71.66 km2) Mexican land grant in present-day Tehama County, California given in 1844 by Governor Manuel Micheltorena to Josiah Belden. The name means "Ranch of the Red Bluffs". The grant was on the west bank of the Sacramento River and bounded Red Bank Creek on the north, and Coyote Creek and Rancho Las Flores on the south. The grant was about 2 miles (3.2 km) south of present-day Red Bluff.

The State Theatre is a Moderne style cinema in Red Bluff, California, USA. It was built in 1945-46 to a design by architects Alexander A. and Mackenzie A. Cantin, replacing a theater that had burned two years before. It provided the only public stage in Tehama County until 1991, and was the only cinema until 1993. It is notable as one of the few theaters to be built in the United States during World War II.

The Odd Fellows Building in Red Bluff, California was built during 1882–83. It was the fourth home of the I.O.O.F. Lodge #76, one of the oldest Odd Fellows groups in Northern California.It is a two-story 100 feet (30 m) by 45 feet (14 m)red brick building with Italianate style designed by architect A. A. Cook of Sacramento.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.A.A. Cook also designed the NRHP-listed Cone and Kimball Building at 747 Main St. in Red Bluff and the NRHP-listed Pleasants Ranch at 8212 Pleasants Valley Rd. in Vacaville, California and the NRHP-listed Wheatland Masonic Temple, at 400 Front St. in Wheatland, California.

The Old Bank of America Building at 710 Main St. in Red Bluff, California, was built in 1925. It was designed by architect William H. Weeks. It has also been known as The Daily News. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.Several banking entities had ownership of the building in succession, until it was sold in 1959 with explicit restriction that it could not be used as a bank for at least five years. It stood vacant, instead, until in 1969 it became the home of the Red Bluff Daily News.In 2016, the Red Bluff Daily News main office is located at 728 Main St.

Red Bluff is a city in and the county seat of Tehama County, California, United States. The population was 14,710 at the 2020 census, up from 14,076 at the 2010 census. It is located 131 miles (211 kilometers) north of Sacramento, 31 miles (50 km) south of Redding, and it is bisected by Interstate 5. Red Bluff is situated on the banks of the upper Sacramento River. Located in the northernmost part of California’s Central Valley, the city marks the northern end of a vast contiguously cultivated area that extends all the way to Bakersfield, 400 miles (640 km) to the south. Mildly rugged terrain, used as rangeland, separates Red Bluff from the next crop areas to the north in Cottonwood. It was originally known as Leodocia, but was renamed to Covertsburg in 1853. It got its current name in 1854. Located at the head of navigation on the Sacramento River the town flourished in the mid to late 19th century as a landing point for miners heading to the Trinity County gold fields and later as a temporary terminus for the Southern Pacific Railroad's northward expansion.
