Tehama County ( tə-HAY-mə; Wintun for "high water") is a county located in the northern part of the U.S. state of California. As of the 2020 census, the population was 65,829. The county seat and largest city is Red Bluff.Tehama County comprises the Red Bluff, California micropolitan statistical area, which is also included in the Redding-Red Bluff, California combined statistical area. The county is bisected by the Sacramento River.

It has a level-III trauma emergency department.On November 14, 2017, several victims of the Rancho Tehama shootings were taken to Saint Elizabeth's emergency department for treatment.

Red Bank Creek is a major stream in Tehama County, California, and a tributary of the Sacramento River. About 39 miles (63 km) long, it originates in the foothills of the Coast Ranges, near the boundary of the Mendocino National Forest, and flows east across the Sacramento Valley to join the Sacramento River near Red Bluff. Red Bank Creek, like the other streams draining this part of the western Sacramento Valley, is a highly seasonal stream that flows only during the winter and spring.Old Red Bank Creek Bridge at Red Bluff was built by the Pacific Bridge Company in 1894. According to a 1983 news article about a hazardous chemical spill into the creek following a 38-car railroad derailment stated "Red Bank Creek curls around the sprawling Diamond International lumber mill before emptying into the Sacramento River just above the Red Bluff Diversion Dam, where water is sent into the Tehama and Colusa canals".The creek was named for the reddish character of its clay banks. The creek has also been known as Red Bluff Creek, Redbank Creek and Baranca Colorada (Spanish for "red canyon").

Rancho Las Flores was a 13,316-acre (53.89 km2) Mexican land grant in present-day Tehama County, California given in 1844 by Governor Manuel Micheltorena to William Chard. The name means "ranch of the flowers". The grant was on the west side of the Sacramento River and was bounded by Rancho Barranca Colorado and Coyote Creek on the north and by Rancho Saucos and Elder Creek on the south, and encompassed present-day Gerber and Proberta.

Red Bluff Diversion Dam is a disused irrigation diversion dam on the Sacramento River in Tehama County, California, United States, southeast of the city of Red Bluff. Until 2013, the dam provided irrigation water for two canals that serve 150,000 acres (61,000 ha) of farmland on the west side of the Sacramento Valley. The dam and canals are part of the Sacramento Canals Unit of the Central Valley Project, operated by the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation. In 2013, the dam was decommissioned and the river allowed to flow freely through the site in order to protect migrating fish. A pumping plant constructed a short distance upstream now supplies water to the canal system.

Red Bluff Municipal Airport (IATA: RBL, ICAO: KRBL, FAA LID: RBL) is two miles south of Red Bluff, located just off Interstate 5 in Tehama County, California. It was previously known as Bidwell Airport. It has no scheduled airline flights; United Airlines dropped Red Bluff in 1952, Pacific Air Lines left in 1962 and the airport has had few or no airline flights since. RBL sees general aviation and occasional transient aircraft.

The State Theatre is a Moderne style cinema in Red Bluff, California, USA. It was built in 1945-46 to a design by architects Alexander A. and Mackenzie A. Cantin, replacing a theater that had burned two years before. It provided the only public stage in Tehama County until 1991, and was the only cinema until 1993. It is notable as one of the few theaters to be built in the United States during World War II.

The Odd Fellows Building in Red Bluff, California was built during 1882–83. It was the fourth home of the I.O.O.F. Lodge #76, one of the oldest Odd Fellows groups in Northern California.It is a two-story 100 feet (30 m) by 45 feet (14 m)red brick building with Italianate style designed by architect A. A. Cook of Sacramento.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.A.A.
