Dongguk University station

Taegeukdang (Korean: 태극당; Hanja: 太極堂) is a historic bakery now located in Jangchung-dong, Jung District, Seoul, South Korea. It was originally founded in 1946 in Myeong-dong, and moved to its current location in 1973. It is considered the oldest active bakery in Seoul. It has remained a family business since then; in 2012 the third generation of the family took over. It sells a number of Western and Korean baked goods and confectionaries, including the ice cream sandwich product Monaca Ice Cream (모나카 아이스크림). Also popular are castella and jeonbyeong (sweet small pancakes).

Jangchungdan Park (Korean: 장충단 공원) is a park located in Jung District, Seoul, South Korea. It is to the northeast of the mountain Namsan.It contains the historic Dangchungdan Shrine, which was built by Emperor Gojong in 1900 to memorialize Empress Myeongseong. The park has a children's baseball field, a tennis court, and a swimming pool. It is popular for walks and for exercise. It has a pine tree forest, with walking trails through it.

La Yeon (Korean: 라연) is a fine dining restaurant in Seoul, South Korea. It is located on the 23rd floor of the hotel The Shilla Seoul. It received two Michelin stars in 2023. It was rated one of the top 200 global restaurants for the 2024 La Liste, and has remained in the top 500 restaurants since joining the list in 2017.

Haobin (Korean: 호빈; Chinese: 豪賓; lit. 'precious guests') is a fine dining restaurant in Seoul, South Korea. It serves Chinese cuisine. It first opened in January 2022 and is located in The Ambassador Seoul Hotel. It received one Michelin star for 2024. The restaurant's head chef is Hu Deok-juk (후덕죽). Hu began cooking in the 1960s. He became interested in Chinese cuisine, and began cooking at the restaurant Yonggung in the Bando Hotel in Sogong-dong. He was rejected twice from the restaurant, before being accepted on his third attempt. Hu learned from chefs from Taiwan and mainland China in South Korea and Japan. Along with the Michelin star in 2024, Hu also received a Mentor Chef Award. Hu's cooking was reportedly praised by Chinese premiere Jiang Zemin during a visit to Korea in 1994. Hu reportedly has cooked for other Chinese dignitaries who visit the country.

Dongguk University (Korean: 동국대학교, Hanja: 東國大學校) is a private, coeducational university in South Korea, fundamentally based on Buddhism. Established in 1906 as Myeongjin School (명진학교; 明進學校) by Buddhist pioneers of the Association of Buddhism Research (불교연구회; 佛敎硏究會), the university gained full university status as Dongguk University in 1953. The university remains one of the few Buddhist-affiliated universities in the world, and is a member of the International Association of Buddhist Universities.Situated on a hill near Namsan, the university's Seoul campus is in the urban Jung-gu District of central Seoul. The university's symbol animal is an elephant, which stemmed from Queen Māyā of Sakya's precognitive dream of a white elephant about the birth of The Buddha, and the symbol flower is a lotus blossom which reflects the Buddhist truth.Dongguk University Seoul campus is organised into 127 undergraduate and graduate schools, which enrolled 13,701 undergraduate students and 1,801 graduate students and granted 3,140 bachelor's, 470 master's and 172 doctorate degrees in 2017. Its comprehensive academic programme offers 53 undergraduate majors, together with 59 graduate programmes.The university also operates campuses in Peckham, Gyeongju, and Los Angeles, United States. Dongdaemun History & Culture Park Station is a station on the Seoul Subway Line 2, Line 4 and Line 5. The huge Dongdaemun Market district is centered on this station and Dongdaemun Station, located to the north across Cheonggyecheon.The Line 2 station is located in Euljiro-7-ga, Jung-gu, Seoul, and the Line 4 and 5 stations are located in Gwanghui-dong, Jung-gu, Seoul. This station is also known to have the highest train-platform gap related accidents in the entire country of South Korea with the total of 365 feet accidents each year.This station's Line 5 Transfer passageway was closed from 18 July 2018 to 20 September 2018 because of construction-related work.

Central Asia Street (Korean: 중앙아시아거리) is the nickname for an area in Gwanghui-dong, Jung District, Seoul, South Korea. It is so named because of the relatively high density of Central Asia-themed businesses in the area. In addition to its population of foreigners of non-Korean ethnicity, the area also has a notable population of Koryo-saram; ethnic Koreans from the former Soviet Union. The area reportedly formerly went by the name Little Moscow. Cyrllic, a script used for many Central Asian and Slavic languages, can be widely seen in the area. The ground level of the street has a number of restaurants and bars that specialize in Central Asian and Russian food and drinks, including kebabs and vodka. Along the main entrance to the street is a 10-story building known as "Mongolian Town". In addition to stores and restaurants, many of the establishments cater to the needs of the locals, such as banks, hair salons, and job agencies.The area is near the Dongdaemun History & Culture Park station and the park the station is named after.

Gwanghuimun (Hangul 광희문, Hanja 光熙門; also known as Southeast Gate) is one of The Eight Gates of Seoul in the Fortress Wall of Seoul, South Korea, which surrounded the city in the Joseon Dynasty. The gate is also known as Namsomun (남소문, “South Small Gate”). It was originally called Sugumun "Water Channel Gate."

The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Seoul (Korean: 주한 스리랑카 대사관) is the diplomatic mission of Sri Lanka to South Korea. As of 2015 the ambassador was Tissa Wijeratne, a retired Foreign Service officer. After the retirement of the ambassador Tissa Wijeratne, Manisha Gunasekera assumed duties as Sri Lanka's Ambassador to the Republic of Korea in September 2015.
