Peachtree Hills is a neighborhood within the Buckhead district of Atlanta, Georgia. It primarily contains residential buildings, however, commercial buildings are scattered throughout the neighborhood. Peachtree Battle Shopping Center is located within the borders of Peachtree Hills.

Brookwood Hills is a historic neighborhood located in intown Atlanta, Georgia, United States, north of Midtown and south-southwest of Buckhead. Home to about 1000 people, it was founded in the early 1920s by Benjamin Franklin Burdett and his son, Arthur. The site of the neighborhood is located where some of the bloodiest battles of the American Civil War took place during the Atlanta Campaign.

Sherwood Forest is an intown neighborhood of Atlanta, Georgia, bordered by the Ansley Park neighborhood on the south and east, and on the northwest by the Downtown Connector across which is the Brookwood Hills neighborhood. It was established in 1949. It is one of the most affluent neighborhoods of the city with an average single-family home price of $951,376 in 2008.

Knox Apartments, Cauthorn House and Peachtree Road Apartments Historic District is a group of three Colonial Revival apartment buildings, one house and an original koi pond. The complex is now known as Peachtree Commons. The complex was listed with the National Register of Historic Places on March 19, 1998, with listing number 98000248.

Armour Yard is a railyard on the northwest side of Interstate 85 between the Piedmont Road (Georgia State Route 237) and Monroe Drive exits in northeast Atlanta, Georgia, south of the Lindbergh neighborhood of Buckhead. For southbound travelers, it can be easily seen below from the freeway viaduct, and looking underneath the massive viaduct from "old 85" (Georgia 13, the Buford-Spring Connector). In 1900 a Belt Junction station is mentioned, which would later be renamed Armour Station. Today there is a Norfolk Southern railyard for freight trains, and since 2005 also a maintenance facility for MARTA, Atlanta's metropolitan rail system, whose Red/Gold line passes through the yard. Various public transportation plans suggest building a station at Armour Yard, because it would serve to connect numerous routes which otherwise would not connect in one place: Amtrak line from Atlanta to Washington D.C. (currently stops at historic Peachtree Station) 2 potential commuter rail lines from Atlanta to points northeast such as Athens (the "Brain Train") and Gainesville potential light rail lines: from Lindbergh station, via Armour south-southeast along the BeltLine to Virginia Highland, then west to Midtown along Ponce de Leon Avenue from Lindbergh via Armour along the Clifton Corridor to Emory University and possibly through to Avondale MARTA stationThe origin of the Armour Yard name may be a role as a yard for the railcars of the Armour Car Lines (railcar fleet) in the early 1900s, an offshoot of Armour and Company's role as one of America's biggest shippers.

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is a 643 bed, non-profit hospital located at 1968 Peachtree Road, Atlanta, Georgia.

Villa Clare was a house in Atlanta, Georgia located on 2020 Peachtree Road. It was completed in 1916,: 30  and was designed by the architect Edward Emmett Dougherty.: 30  J.J. Haverty, who hired Dougherty to design the home for himself, named it after County Clare, Ireland, where his wife and father were from. Haverty closed up the house in 1918 when his wife died, but later reopened it after he became interested in art collecting. Haverty collected many paintings in Villa Clare before his death in 1939, and many of these were later donated to the High Museum of Art.: 84  The former location of Villa Clare is now the site of the Shepherd Spinal Center.

The Apartments at 2 Collier Road were built by developer Henry M. Rice in 1929 in Atlanta, Georgia. The apartments were built on lands formerly belonging to George Washington Collier. The Colonial Revival style buildings are of the "big house" style, giving the impression of a single large residence rather than an apartment building.

The Apartments at 22–24 Collier Road were built in 1929 by developers J.W. Jenkins and J.G. Crockett of the Anjaco Holding Corporation. The apartments are examples of Mediterranean Revival architecture, with classical details such as Doric columns and a central entrance.

The Museum of Contemporary Art of Georgia (MOCA GA) is a contemporary art museum located in Atlanta, Georgia. The museum collects and archives contemporary works by Georgia artists. MOCA GA uses its exhibition schedule to increase its permanent collection. The Education/Resource Center houses the museum's historical archive collection.

The Hebrew Benevolent Congregation Temple bombing occurred on October 12, 1958 in Atlanta, Georgia. The Hebrew Benevolent Congregation Temple, on Peachtree Street, housed a Reform Jewish congregation. The building was damaged extensively by the dynamite-fueled explosion, although no one was injured. Five suspects were arrested almost immediately after the bombing. One of them, George Bright, was tried twice. His first trial ended with a hung jury and his second with an acquittal. As a result of Bright's acquittal, the other suspects were not tried, and no one was ever convicted of the bombing.

The Temple (formally, the Hebrew Benevolent Congregation) is a Reform synagogue in Atlanta, Georgia. The oldest Jewish congregation in Atlanta, it was established in 1860 to serve the needs of German-Jewish immigrants. The Temple, designed by Philip Trammell Shutze in a Neoclassical style, was completed in 1931. Previous temples of the congregation were located at: 1875–1902: Garnett and Forsyth Streets, downtown 1902–1929: South Pryor and Richardson Streets, Washington-Rawson neighborhood southeast of downtownDuring the 1950s and 1960s, The Temple became a center for civil rights advocacy. In response, white supremacists bombed The Temple on October 12, 1958, with no injuries. While arrests were made, there were no convictions. Atlanta Journal-Constitution editor Ralph McGill's outraged front-page column on the Temple bombing won a Pulitzer Prize for Editorial Writing. The Temple and the bombing event was used as a central theme in the film Driving Miss Daisy (1989).
