The Apartments at 2 Collier Road were built by developer Henry M. Rice in 1929 in Atlanta, Georgia. The apartments were built on lands formerly belonging to George Washington Collier. The Colonial Revival style buildings are of the "big house" style, giving the impression of a single large residence rather than an apartment building.

The Apartments at 22–24 Collier Road were built in 1929 by developers J.W. Jenkins and J.G. Crockett of the Anjaco Holding Corporation. The apartments are examples of Mediterranean Revival architecture, with classical details such as Doric columns and a central entrance.

Villa Clare was a house in Atlanta, Georgia located on 2020 Peachtree Road. It was completed in 1916,: 30  and was designed by the architect Edward Emmett Dougherty.: 30  J.J. Haverty, who hired Dougherty to design the home for himself, named it after County Clare, Ireland, where his wife and father were from. Haverty closed up the house in 1918 when his wife died, but later reopened it after he became interested in art collecting. Haverty collected many paintings in Villa Clare before his death in 1939, and many of these were later donated to the High Museum of Art.: 84  The former location of Villa Clare is now the site of the Shepherd Spinal Center.

Ardmore, sometimes called "Ardmore Park" for the city park of the same name within the neighborhood, is a neighborhood in the extreme south Buckhead area of Atlanta, between Peachtree Road, on the east, railroad tracks and the Atlanta BeltLine on the west, Collier Road to the north and Brookwood to the south. Though distinct from Brookwood and Collier Hills, the neighborhoods are often linked as they share a border and location along Collier Road and Peachtree Street/Road just north of Midtown.

Brookwood Hills is a historic neighborhood located in intown Atlanta, Georgia, United States, north of Midtown and south-southwest of Buckhead. Home to about 1000 people, it was founded in the early 1920s by Benjamin Franklin Burdett and his son, Arthur. The site of the neighborhood is located where some of the bloodiest battles of the American Civil War took place during the Atlanta Campaign.

The Museum of Contemporary Art of Georgia (MOCA GA) is a contemporary art museum located in Atlanta, Georgia. The museum collects and archives contemporary works by Georgia artists. MOCA GA uses its exhibition schedule to increase its permanent collection. The Education/Resource Center houses the museum's historical archive collection.

The Foundation for Economic Education (FEE) is an American conservative, libertarian economic think tank. Founded in 1948 in New York City, FEE is now headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. It is a member of the State Policy Network.FEE offers publications, lectures, and student workshops promoting free market principles.

On June 30, 1989, a structure fire occurred at the Peachtree 25th Building, a high-rise office building in the Midtown neighborhood of Atlanta, Georgia, United States. The fire caused the deaths of five individuals and injured up to 38 others. The fire began around 10:25 a.m. Electricians on the sixth floor of the building's South Tower had been replacing a fuse when an electrical arc occurred, leading to a fire that was localized mostly on that floor. While employees on other floors were able to evacuate and alert the city's fire department, several employees on the sixth floor were prevented from escaping. Some broke windows to allow for ventilation, and before firefighters arrived, one woman jumped, falling 60 feet (18 m), though ultimately surviving. Firefighters were able to rescue several people using long ladders, while others who reached the sixth floor began ventilating the floor. A rescue helicopter was additionally employed. In the end, four people were declared dead at the scene, while another died in hospital several days later. Following the event, a significant amount of focus centered on the building's lack of a fire sprinkler system, as the building was constructed before any local ordinance existed that would have required the building to have one. Multiple individuals and organizations, including the National Fire Protection Association and the United States Fire Administration, investigated the disaster and made recommendations on requiring high-rises to have a sprinkler system in place, and in testimony before the United States Senate the following year, a vice president of the International Association of Fire Chiefs stated that a sprinkler system could have saved all but one of the lives lost in the fire.

Brookwood is a neighborhood at the southernmost tip of the Buckhead Community of Atlanta. It should not be confused with Brookwood Hills, a neighborhood and historic district east of Brookwood across Peachtree Road. It is bordered by: I-75 and Loring Heights on the southwest I-85 on the southeast Peachtree Road and Brookwood Hills on the east Ardmore on the north BeltLine rail corridor at the far westThere is an infill residential area at the "back" of the neighborhood (Semel Drive area). The BeltLine trail through Tanyard Creek Park continues south through the Tanyard Creek Urban Wilderness, which together with the trail terminates at the infill development at the far "back" (west side) of the Brookwood neighborhood.

Knox Apartments, Cauthorn House and Peachtree Road Apartments Historic District is a group of three Colonial Revival apartment buildings, one house and an original koi pond. The complex is now known as Peachtree Commons. The complex was listed with the National Register of Historic Places on March 19, 1998, with listing number 98000248.

Atlanta Peachtree Station is a train station in Atlanta, Georgia. It is currently a service stop for Amtrak's Crescent passenger train. The street address is 1688 Peachtree Road, Northwest, in the Brookwood section of town between Buckhead and Midtown.

Tanyard Creek Park is a 14.5-acre (5.9 ha) park in the Buckhead area of Atlanta. It is located along Tanyard Creek between Collier Road on the north and BeltLine rail corridor to the south. The neighborhood of Collier Hills borders it on the west and Collier Hills North on the east. A 1-mile (1.6 km)-long BeltLine trail runs through the park - not along the BeltLine rail corridor itself but perpendicular to it. The trail begins at the west end of Colonial Homes neighborhood, proceeds west along the south end of Bobby Jones Golf Course, Louise G. Howard Park, under Collier Road and through Tanyard Creek Park, under a trestle bridge (active CSX rail line), connecting to both Ardmore Park in the Ardmore neighborhood and into the Tanyard Creek Urban Forest. The trail, and urban forest, terminates at Semel Circle, a new infill development area at the back of Brookwood neighborhood. The trail opened in April 2010.The Civil War Battle of Peachtree Creek took place in and around the park.
