Jeonbuk National University (JBNU; Korean, 전북대학교, Jeonbuk Daehakgyo) is one of ten Flagship Korean National Universities founded in 1947, located in Jeonju, South Korea. Jeonbuk National University has been ranked 551–560th in the world by QS Top Universities Ranking in 2023.

Jeonju Gymnasium is an arena in Jeonju, South Korea. It is the home arena of the Jeonju KCC Egis of the Korean Basketball League (KBL).

Deokjin-gu is a non-autonomous district in the City of Jeonju in North Jeolla Province, South Korea.

Jeonju (Korean: 전주, Korean pronunciation: [t͡ɕʌɲ.d͡ʑu], lit. 'Perfect region') is the capital and largest city of Jeollabuk-do, South Korea. It is both urban and rural due to the closeness of Wanju County which almost entirely surrounds Jeonju (Wanju County has many residents who work in Jeonju). It is an important tourist center famous for Korean food, historic buildings, sports activities, and innovative festivals. In May 2012, Jeonju was chosen as a Creative City for Gastronomy as part of UNESCO's Creative Cities Network. This honour recognizes the city's traditional home cooking handed down over thousands of years, its active public and private food research, a system of nurturing talented chefs, and its hosting of distinctive food festivals.

Jeonbuk State (Korean: 전북특별자치도; Hanja: 全北特別自治道), also known as Jeonbuk is a Special Self-governing Province of South Korea in the Honam region in the southwest of the Korean Peninsula. Jeonbuk borders the provinces of South Chungcheong to the north, North Gyeongsang and South Gyeongsang to the east and South Jeolla to the south. Jeonbuk State emerged in 1896 from the northern part of the old Jeolla province, one of the Eight Provinces of Korea. Originally North Jeolla Province, it was renamed Jeonbuk (a shortening of North Jeolla) on 18 January 2024 concurrent with the territory gaining more autonomy and being classified as self-governing rather than as a regular province. The special bill on the creation of the special autonomous province of Jeolla du Nord is a project put forward by the party of power to the people in August 2022 in accordance with Article 6 of the special law on the establishment of special autonomous provinces. It is the 3rd after the provinces of Jeju and Gangwon to obtain this status. Jeonju is the capital and largest city of Jeonbuk, with other major cities including Iksan, Gunsan and Jeongeup.

Founded in 2001, Jeonju International Sori Festival (전주세계소리축제) is South Korea's main event for traditional music and, since 2011, world music. In 2012, 2013, and 2014, Songlines listed Jeonju Sori Festival among the World's Best 25 International Festivals, the only Asian festival in the list.

The Jeondong Cathedral (Korean: 전동성당) also known as the Old Cathedral of Jeondong and now as the Jeondong Church of Francis Xavier is an important Catholic church in Jeonju, South Korea.The cathedral building, of Roman-Byzantine style, was built between 1908 and 1914 by Victor Louis Poisnel (1855-1925). It is in the territory and under the supervision of François-Xavier Baudounet (1859-1915), a French priest, born in Mostuéjouls in Aveyron, in the same place where many Christians were martyred. This church, located in the city center, near the traditional Jeonju Hanok Village, is a historic site (KB) #288. Currently a parish church, the cathedral belongs to the Diocese of Jeonju (Dioecesis Ieoniuensis or 전주 교구). Sacred Heart Kindergarten is a facility attached to the cathedral, while Jeonju Sacred Heart Girls' Middle School (Wheein and Hwasa's former school) and Jeonju Sacred Heart Girls' High School are nearby.

Jeonju Baseball Stadium is a baseball stadium in the city of Jeonju, South Korea. It is former home of the Haitai Tigers and Ssangbangwool Raiders. The stadium holds 10,000 people.

The Diocese of Jeonju (Latin: Dioecesis Ieoniuensis) is a Latin Church ecclesiastical territory or diocese of the Catholic Church in South Korea. It is in the ecclesiastical province of the metropolitan Archdiocese of Gwangju, yet depends on the missionary Dicastery for Evangelization. Its cathedra is in the Joongang Cathedral of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, in the episcopal see of Jeonju 전주시, Jeollabuk-do 전라북도. It also has a former cathedral, now Jeondong Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, in Jeonju. Both are named for the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Jeonju Indoor Ice Rink (전주실내빙상경기장), sometimes called Hwasan Indoor Ice Rink, is an indoor ice rink in Wansan-gu, Jeonju-si, Jeollabuk-do, South Korea. It was completed in 1996, originally for the 1997 Winter Universiade. At the Winter Universiade, it was the venue for the figure skating and short track speed skating events. It also hosted the Four Continents Figure Skating Championships in 2002 and 2010. It is the largest ice rink in Jeollabuk-do. Next to the ice rink, Hwasan Gymnasium (initially called Indoor Ice Rink #2) is located which was also built for the Winter Universiade together with the ice rink.

Jeonju Airport (IATA: CHN, ICAO: RKJU) is a small military airport located near Jeonju (Chonju), South Korea. Before, it used to serve civilian transport aircraft.
